Kalsubai Peak is a very popular trek in the Sahyadri region. It is the highest peak in Maharashtra at 1646m (5,400 ft) and is easily accessible both from Mumbai and Pune. The trek offers a breathtaking combination of natural environments like waterfalls, forests, grasslands. The Kalsubai trek is also a very popular night trek. Trekkers flock here for the brilliant views of the sunrise! The Kalsubai trek offers views of many famous forts like Alang, Madan, Kulang. The treks to these peaks are pretty challenging. On a clear day, you also get imposing views of other surrounding forts such as Harihargad, Harishchandragad, and Ratangad. One can combine these treks for added adventure. Long story short Kalsubai is one of the best treks in Maharashtra and I'd suggest to visit in winters and stay on the peak and enjoy the night with bonfire under the starry night and watch beautiful sunrise the next day.

Heyy it took us around 2:30 hrs to reach the temple from base village
Yeh jyada dangerous hain kya bcoz main pehli baar trek kar Raha hoon aur mera vajan bhi thoda jyada hai
Dangerous bilkul bhi nahi, barish me jaoge toh bahot slippery hota hai jo thoda risky hota hai, mai bolunga thandi me yeh try karne. Btw mera bhi first trek kalsubai hi tha😁

Yes food and tents are available on the top and base as well, I'd suggest rent everything on top itself, and the food is also amazing I had veg thali for 150 that to unlimited, and non veg was for 250 same unlimited, and you'll get the service on top near the well.

Yes there are taxi/jeeps available from kasara station, since kalsubai is more famous for night treks there should be taxi service available at night

It's totally upto you! Usually people say it takes around 3 hrs, but i did it in 2 hrs 30 mins. There is nothing to worry about go easy and aaram se dont rush, enjoy the hike😁✨

At what time it is best to visit, early morning/ evening/night?
In winter anytime is best to visit. You can start in afternoon reach top before sunset, enjoy the sunset and camp then enjoy the sunrise. That's what I did😌❤

Hey tushar, I didn't rent a tent but a fellow friend did so they charger him 400₹ for a 3 person tent, if you feel it's expensive you can bargain with them and you have multiple options there.
