Ive always wanted to float the 11 point from Missouri into Arkansas. It flows about 35 minutes from where i live near Hardy, Arkansas. I'm glad i found your guys' channel. Those poor dogs. I would of had to take them on the raft and home. Poor dogs. Great video fellas.
I’m interested in how you put your trailer together. I’m also running a utility trailer for my raft. Currently I’m running 2x4 across the rails. I’d like to keep my raft needs removable to keep it as a utility trailer when I need it. Your rail system looked nice
Yea, that’s what I was after too. Wanted to be able to use as a utility trailer when needed. My dad custom welded me a a custom easy removable frame for the raft. It’s 1in square tubing that slides on to the rails of the trailer and is tied to trailer with 4 bolts or pins. It’s pretty simple design and has worked out great so far! Here pretty soon, I will try and make a video showing the setup so you can get a better idea of the setup.
Nice! New subscriber....acquired some property on the Spring River near Hardy, AR to base out of for fishing and this float/fish trip is on my bucket list.
Thanks! I downloaded the music from Epidemic Sound. Here are the links to songs in video. www.epidemicsound.com/track/ubffyyU6PM/ www.epidemicsound.com/track/WfinHazBHk/ www.epidemicsound.com/track/MqLLs1gt44/
Dogs run loose on these rivers all the time and are not lost, had one hang out with us for awhile and move along he was actually on a hunt and treed some animal down stream.
Great video! I will be heading there in two weeks with my raft. Who did you used for the shuttle, Richard’s Canoe? What was the CFS those two days? Thanks 🤙🏽
Thanks! We used Richard’s Canoe. I put a flow chart at minute 1:10 in the video. Should give you a good idea of what the flows were for the whole month! Have a great trip!
Great video man .! I love the eleven point, I regular camp in the river and spend 3 nights camping different places every day, how much they charge you every day for the shuttle, I regularly pat them like $90 but the take out is way far
Thanks Steve! 60 dollars for the shuttle. We were originally going to do an overnighter, but we decided to be lazy and have a nice permanent camp, lol! Good to hear from you man! Hope all is well!
@@OutdoorHighlife yeah definitely when I saw the you had a permanent camp I was like , yeah , that sounds great. You pay $60 per day every time you got shuttle? Or just one fee for both days?
I love fishing, but there is no way I would have left Mark and Twain behind. Either they would have been in the boat, or I wouldn't go fishing. I hope they find a good home. We don't deserve dogs that good.
It was hard to leave Mark and Twain behind and we planned on taking them back home with us if they were at camp when we got back. But here is the reality. We don't know where these dogs came from. Did they run away and there owner was looking for them or did someone drop them off Our truck was already 6 miles down river, so not going down river was not an option.(and no cell service). We wanted to put them in the raft, but we were in the national forest, and if they decided to chase a squirrel, deer, etc(which they had already did that morning) while we were halfway down the river, they would have definitely been in real trouble. Host of other factors that not necessary to explain. But, we wont forget Mark and Twain!
The current, jacks fork, and eleven point all have river dogs that all have great homes. I’ve encountered many pets without owners on all 3. As well as many hunting dogs at not so nice hours to have them come thru camp chasing deer fawns but every local I’ve came across seems to know almost every traveling dog in the area by name. Great vid guys. Just did the jacks fork 2 weeks back.
@ArkanSauced Thanks! Appreciate you sharing that info! Makes me feel a little better about letting them be. I’m hoping to make it out to the Jacks Fork soon!
Would you all mind dropping me a pin as to your drop in and pull out locations for your raft, going to try ang float this in the fall with my dad. Thanks in advance.
@@OutdoorHighlife Thank you, that helps. Let me know when you are ready to upgrade from that Orvis. That is a good rod, but someday you will want nicer, and I will cut you a heck of a deal on a custom rod.
great video! headed there next week for 5 days of camping and fishing on the river from greer to whitten.
One of the better fly fishing float trips on the Point. Well done.
Thanks! It was a lot of fun!

It’s a great float for sure!

It’s a great place! Worth the trip!
Are they still catching Chain Pickerel on the river? I caught a nice one there when I was a kid! 😀 Great video
Thanks! We didn’t catch any pickerel, but I believe they are still in there.
What music did you use in this I love it. So far great video.

Good to hear! Thanks!
The dogs were probably lost and hungry. Jeez
What kind of drone do yall use? Thats amazing footage
Thank you! We use a DJI magic mini

Who made that boat? I am currently in the market looking at various rafts for fishing the Missouri rivers?
It’s a Bris raft with a NRS frame
@@OutdoorHighlife What do you think of this raft rig thus far? It looks safe, dry and capable. Man this would would work for 3 day or longer floats!
@billquantrill4960 I love it so far! It would work great for multi day floats, with a couple of people.
Damn, how long was that backhand water load cast 15 seconds in? I want to be able to do that!
Jake’s a pretty good fly caster! Lots of time out in the water swinging a fly around in different situations!

They're living a better life than any town dog.
Those dogs were probably dumped out there
Franks Hot Sauce to marinate catfish, what a great idea!
It’s hard to beat!
Best wing sauce ever
Sorry about the dog comment. We just lost a dog so it all hit me hard and I was wrong to dis y'all my fellow fly geeks!
Thanks and no worries. Sorry to hear about your loss.

We floated Greer Springs to Turner Mill. Nice ramps at both.
