Eh, maybe with the old White valuation. Now he's listed at around 100M, and Leicester would probably ask for more. It would require a lot of money in instalments to make it happen, if they even would consider that kind of deal, and White would probably ask for at least 70-75k p/w to a club already over the wage limit. To be clear, I think he's overpaying for these strikers, but let's be realistic, the White deal would be very difficult to land.
This is THE best way to start the day. Working as a nightwatch, waking up at 1pm, making some breakfast, having WTS on my TV while playing FM on the PC. Life is worth it :)
Jack, whenever you get into Europe, would you consider doing sporadic Away Days for some of the lesser-known European sides? It would be nice to add that imo, mostly for fear of us missing out on some quaint little stadium
One is the backup for the other; Meredith proved he could work in my system last year on loan and is a known quantity; given I play with 3 strikers, I don't think certain players having an overlap in the archetype is an issue.
The mortgage loan is for the stadium. It's a bug. I'm pretty sure it always mentions the loan you took when you upgrade facilities until the stadium work is finished.
Jack, you're great and I appreciate the transfers are hard with English only but debating 45 million for a winger who could just about play striker in Pearson when you don't play wingers was ludicrous😅
Hey Jack, I find personally that transfer listing, offering out and then a few days later asking agent about market interest (or intermediaries) if no bids were forthcoming is far more effective for gathering interest from other clubs. Youll usually then get more info on what other clubs are actually willing to pay to make a decision too.
Day 1 of praying that another Andy White will rise and shine in England , that he’s English again, and for Jack to sign him again (and not be sold like the first Andy White that came through the academy)
Once i have a staff member with 19 or 20 negotiating, they get to do it all and i just finalize the transfer at the end. It's anecdotal evidence, but ive found that they can get you just as good (if not better) prices without all the hassle. Once had a player in the prem that got 80mil over value to one of the saudi clubs without any extra involvement on my end. My DoF completely scammed them lol
Feels a bit mad that you feel Burgess isn't good enough to even be a backup CB when you've just spent a fortune on a CB with 11 tackling. Burgess has low heading but other than that, his attributes aren't terrible for a backup.
He has below average pace, questionable aerial ability and when given a chance didn't perform. Henderson is a much more complete player with vastly superior mentals and physicals with room to grow
@@WorkTheSpace I think I perhaps value technical attributes a little more than you do and obviously haven't seen him perform game to game so haven't developed any real idea of what he was other than attributes. Was just surprised that there wasn't any real debate over the cost when the upgrade seems minimal.
Hihi! Another Banger of an episode! Wanted to say you should have signed Jordan Ritson. With his potencial, and the challenge you have in finding good english players, you'll have to overspend quite a lot of the times, meaning you should take the deals that are somewhat good! 22,5 M£ for an english centerback, that can play leftback with 5 star potencial is a steal in my opinion. Keep up the good work! Can't wait for the new season to begin :D
Maybe offer player out for loan with mandatory fee's or even optional ones if they are going to be first team players. Worth a punt and would lower the wages at least and let you bring another body in
Also I complain every year but as a Dundee United fan I hate us being called Dundee... As an Everton fan yourself jack I could only imagine how annoying it is when you get mixed up
Glad you made the sensible signing. I know your wing back system is all about success going forward, but wouldn’t some better defensive stats help protect from opposition wingers running it down the line and putting it in the box? Are the players with enough going forward but decent marking, tackling, positioning etc, just not out there or too expensive?
Sadly those players don't exist in my budget and with interest to join me. Its really one or the other of techncials vs physicals and within my system physicals will always be my priority
Day 369 of praying that another Super Mario will rise and shine in England , that he’s actually english and for Jack to actually sign him this time (and not be sold like the Mario that came through the academy)
Meredith 30m + U21 striker 45m + other sales = White deal

@@jacopomangini3036 Yeah, looks like the moment has gone. Hopefully White stays at Leicester and that release clause comes in effect :)
I did not have "Jack will make the sensible transfer choice" on my bingo card today.
There's a first time for everything!
I was so nervous until he stopped it!
New striker - * train at right wing back *
New physio - * train at right wing back *
New kitchen staff - * train at right wing back *
new right wing back = train at tea lady

Signing Meredith when you had a carbon copy in Brennan seems like a waste of money

Poor Edmundson, I bet he cried on the inside after that talk

The 17 year old is so much better than the wolves player
Pearson is insane for 18, you will regret not buying him in 3 years when he’s one of the best you can buy but he’s 200 mil
Have you noticed the dumb “controversy” on the FM subreddit? Love that there are people upset about something clearly addressed in episode one!
Pearson is not it. That 17 year old you created a note for is better IMO
Could have signed Andy White with all the money you've spent 😭

Ritson looked distinctly average. If he was playing for a mid-table side then he wouldn’t be capped by England
If Ritson played for any team other than Liverpool, you wouldn't have even offered a contract.
I certainly wasn't expecting to hear Hartford Athletic mentioned today
Great episode, fun watching you piece the team together, especially with the limitations

Seconded, we need our Mega Andrew

I enjoyed this episode, love the squad building with the imposed limitations. Kind of like Athletic Bilbao does.

Money for loan fee alone should be considered instead of just playing time, we're getting almost a million a year for alozie
McHugh and Hatswell leadership courses? 19 plenty of time to get that Leadership number up.
Maybe offer player out for loan with mandatory fee's or even optional ones if they are going to be first team players. Worth a punt and would lower the wages at least and let you bring another body in
It doesn't matter who he is or where he plays, he will be trained as a right wing-back.
Also I complain every year but as a Dundee United fan I hate us being called Dundee...

Is there no decent youth contract players you can sign for the future on cheap compensation?
what newgan player faces do you use????
Pearson genuinely looks average. Can't believe you even considered signing him for that much.
Reckon you should send another striker out on loan to develop
Jack predicted my comment on yesterday's video
When will the new stadium be completed?
2032 😭
May played in america he better represent
Why don’t you transfer list the players that you want to sale?
I use the unwanted list for low value youth players with no potential its good.
Barcelona just run crying to Mom and Dad and then get their way. Just like always
Defo the best type of episodes
28:10 Yeah, that was unnecessary :)
Nice one Jack, as always
I liked the boring transfer. My kind of transfer.
White or Villa Kid
That’s what tends to happen when you rig the youth academy to be brilliant just once, or something… 😅
