I toured the Viking factory in southern NJ in college. It was an incredible day. They have a CNC machine the size of a building to cut "plugs" of the hulls out of solid foam. We saw the entire process from design to the final assembly in their dry dock. I asked if I could take photos (it was for a school project, and I was worried about confidential info) and the gentleman who was touring us around said "sure, if someone can build a boat as good as ours from your photos, they deserve commendation"
Doug Awesome video with great information and details about the boat. Interior is amazing as is the exterior and features. The engine room is a work or art and beautiful with plenty of room. Thanks for not having LOUD music playing during your narration as it makes it difficult to catch some of the details.
They look so boring on the outside, but get inside and it's like a hotel, amazing. Has to be the most open plan engine bay ive ever seen, no guard rails or anything getting in your way. Very impressive all round

Rivera’s are good boats my uncle had one spewing I didn’t get to drive it tho I don’t think Rivera do a fishing rig anymore I looked at buying one last year when I got my licence

Before purchasing they already know what its going to be used for and how bloody and smelly everything will get, is the last thing they're worried about. I would bet that these rich people have personal detailers that make sure everything is in pristine condition before and after each trip out!
it can be out on sea with usually supplies for a month. a lot of people use these for cruising. they aren't going to cross the atlantic but they will go out deep.
@@shnobi24 a month depending upon how you can pack it effectively plus what as well as how many people there are and if you are using what you catch. it all depends hence why a few of these are outfitted to have a crane and small tender on the bow to get supplies and fuel, haul off waste etc if they don't want to head back to the dock. these are often just a very comfortable two or three day excursion for fishing and family fun. not serious yachting or houseboat living but somepeople do it on these if they know how to do it.
It's so disappointing that a beautiful yacht like this with an amazing interior space design one doesn't have a wide opening screen or a sun bathing in front of the deck.. However : i wad really impressed by the engine room, how big is it, which makes it soo easy to maintain the engines and other systems
I feel the same! But, did you also see how SMALL the opening was to the engine room where he went inside from?? I saw there was another access door, but...wow... the one from the bridge was so small on an 80’ boat!
People who own these are obviously rich, but also more than likely own an even bigger pleasure yacht to take the whole family / friends out cruising around in as well. This here is more of a "spend the weekend out fishing with the guys while the Ladies are all having a Ladies night at the Mansion" type of Yacht! I guess Michael Jordan owns this same yacht as well, he probably takes Charles Barkley out and makes him sleep on the top bunk and tells him "Only Champions get to sleep in the grown up beds Charles!" Lol
$7 million? Another what? $250K/year to run it? $150K for crew? Not too bad. Gonna check between the cushions on the couch and see what I come up with.
The exterior design is simple and elegant, but without any hull windows except the master stateroom it leaves all of the other staterooms feel claustrophobic and basement-like.

You must’ve never seen the interior of one of their older boats, and I can tell you from experience the inside on this one is overwhelming. Just to quell my curiosity, what isn’t there that you were expecting?
Does American people have longer arms then other people? Why are the steering wheel so far away from the captain’s chair in American boats. The ergonomics of the captain’s workstation is ridiculous. The only thing you can do sitting down is watching the autopilot. Take a look at the Marell 900 CC. I know this is a completely different type of boat, but it is like driving a car.
VIKING... I love nearly everything however.. Please hire a better interior design/decor person.. brown, brown, brown, tan beige.. tan...How about looking at European design for color palates.
