The New Testament, like any ancient text, is subject to scrutiny and analysis, leading to the identification of various contradictions. These can be categorized broadly into theological, narrative, and historical inconsistencies.
Here is a list of some commonly cited contradictions along with their references:
    ### Theological Contradictions
    1. **Faith vs. Works**
    - **James 2:24**: "You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone."
    - **Ephesians 2:8-9**: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast."
    2. **Jesus’ Last Words**
    - **Matthew 27:46, 50**: "About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?' (which means 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?') ... And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit."
    - **Luke 23:46**: "Jesus called out with a loud voice, 'Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.' When he had said this, he breathed his last."
    - **John 19:30**: "When he had received the drink, Jesus said, 'It is finished.' With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit."
    ### Narrative Contradictions
    1. **Jesus’ Genealogy**
    - **Matthew 1:1-16**: Traces Jesus’ lineage through David’s son Solomon.
    - **Luke 3:23-38**: Traces Jesus’ lineage through David’s son Nathan.
    2. **The Death of Judas**
    - **Matthew 27:5**: "So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself."
    - **Acts 1:18**: "With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out."
    ### Historical Contradictions
    1. **The Date of Jesus’ Birth**
    - **Matthew 2:1**: "After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod..."
    - **Luke 2:1-2**: "In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)"
Herod died in 4 BCE, while Quirinius' governorship and the associated census occurred around 6 CE, a decade later.
    2. **The Women at the Tomb**
    - **Matthew 28:1**: "After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb."
    - **Mark 16:1**: "When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body."
    - **Luke 24:10**: "It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles."
    - **John 20:1**: "Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance."
    ### Additional Examples
    1. **Jesus' Appearance to the Disciples**
    - **Matthew 28:16-17**: The disciples went to Galilee to meet the risen Jesus.
    - **Luke 24:33-37**: Jesus appeared to the disciples in Jerusalem on the same day of his resurrection.
    2. **Peter’s Denial**
    - **Matthew 26:34**: Jesus predicts Peter will deny him three times before the rooster crows.
    - **Mark 14:30**: Jesus predicts Peter will deny him three times before the rooster crows twice.
    ### Considerations
Contradictions in the New Testament are often discussed in scholarly and theological circles. Some argue that these discrepancies are due to different sources, authors, and traditions, while others attempt to harmonize them through various interpretative methods.
For further reading and detailed analysis, you can refer to:
    1. **"The Bible Unearthed" by Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman**: This book provides an archaeological perspective on the historical inconsistencies.
    2. **"Misquoting Jesus" by Bart D. Ehrman**: Discusses textual variations and contradictions within the New Testament.
    3. **"The Historical Jesus: The Life of a Mediterranean Jewish Peasant" by John Dominic Crossan**: Explores the historical context of Jesus’ life and the New Testament narratives.
These works delve deeper into the reasons behind the contradictions and offer different perspectives on how to understand them.
    Happy digesting the details above.

*AN INTERVIEW BETWEEN THE BIBLE AND THE QUR'ĀN (Koran)*
    *What is your name?
    - Bible: I don't know
    - Qur'ān: my name is Qur'ān, (sura 36: 2)
    *Where do you come from?
    Bible: I don't know
    Qur'ān: from Allah. (Sura 39: 1)
    * What is your religion? *
    Bible : I don't know
    Qur'ān: Islam (Sura 3:19)
*Who gave Christians the name "Christian"?
    Bible: the pagans (Acts 11:26)
Qur'ān: it was Allah who named Muslims ''Muslims'' (Sura 22:78).
*Do you tell Christians to go to church on Sundays?
Bible: NO, they chose that day themselves
Qur'ān: yes, I order Muslims to go to the mosque on Fridays. (Sura 62: 9)
*Why aren't you in your original language?
Bible: because people have made many changes in me.
Qur'ān: I am in my original Arabic and not corrupted (Sura 12: 2).
*Why do you have so many contradictions?
Bible: because I am written by unknown people (Jeremiah 8: 8).
Qur'ān: I have no contradictions because I am from God (Sura 4:82).
*Why do you have so many scientific errors?
Bible: because I've made a lot of mistakes. I said that "the serpent" feeds only on dust throughout its life (Genesis 3:14, Isaiah 65:25).and in the first book of Genesis, I said that there was light and darkness, day and night even though the sun, moon and stars had not yet been created.( Gn 1:3-5, 8-13) and (Gn 1: 14-19).
Qur'ān: I don't have a single scientific error. I said that "moonlight is light reflected or borrowed from the sun" so I am as compatible as modern science (Sura 25:61).
*You are accused of not coming from God. You are written by impostors and liars*.
    - Bible: Yes, it's true, here are the proofs.

Romans, 3:7 - And if by my lying God's truth shines forth the more for his glory, why am I myself still judged as a sinner?
1 Corinthians, 7:25 - As for the virgins, I have no command from the Lord; but I give advice, as having received mercy from the Lord to be faithful.
2 Corinthians, 11:17 - What I say, with the assurance of having cause to glory, I say not according to the Lord, but as by FOLIOUSNESS.
Qur'ān: I am the authentic word of GOD. Here are the proofs:
Sura 17:88-"Say, even if men and jinns joined together to produce a few things like this Qur'ān, they would not have produced anything like it, even if they supported each other."
Sura 10:[37] "This Qur'an is by no means to be forged apart from Allah, but it is the confirmation of what existed before it, and the detailed exposition of the Book in which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the Universe".
[38] "Or do they say, "Did he (Muhammad) invent it?" Say: "So compose a surah similar to this, and call to your aid anyone you can, besides Allah, if you are truthful."
[39] "On the contrary: they have called false that which they cannot embrace with their knowledge, and whose interpretation has not yet reached them. So those who lived before them called (their messengers) impostors. See how was the end of the unjust!".
"And say: 'The Truth (Islam) has come and the Error has disappeared. For Error is destined to disappear"." Sura 17 verse 81
"Those who disbelieve in the Reminder [the Qur'an] when it comes to them... yet it is a mighty [unassailable] Book; Falsehood reaches it [from no quarter], neither from the front nor from the back: it is a revelation from a Wise One, Worthy of praise." Sura 41 verses 41-42

Mark, Luke, Matthew, John, Jesus, Peter and Paul are Western names. Nobody discusse what was their real original names were. All of them were Jews and their languages would have been Hebrew or Aramaic. Just like the modern days Jews and Arab names. This is how hashim can misinterpret Bible verses by saying repented meaning God made a mistake, this is not the case,God is love and even if God has to judge mankind it's out of love and the fact that they have free will so hashim wants God ti feel good about judging mankind, not at all!!

American Christian priest, biblical scholar, theologian and exegete Raymond E. Brown [1928-1998 G] said:
"Approximately three thousand manuscripts of the Greek New Testament, copied between the 2nd and 17th centuries, have been preserved (in whole or in part), to which must be added more than two thousand handwritten lectionaries containing sections (pericopes) of the New Testament arranged for liturgical reading since the 7th century. These witnesses to the NT text do not agree with each other on many points, but few of these differences are significant. No autograph or original manuscript of a New Testament book has been preserved; the differences occurred during the copying of the original. *Not all are the result of copyists' errors; some are the result of deliberate changes.* Copyists sometimes felt obliged to *improve* the Greek of the received text, to *modernize* spelling, *add* explanatory phrases, *harmonize* the Gospels, and even *omit* a point they considered doubtful. One might think that the oldest preserved copies (in whole or in part) of the Greek NT are the best guide back to the originals; but this is not necessarily so."

A key idea of Wright’s is that the authority of the Bible is not about repeating previous scenes of acts in entirety but rather to see the Bible as:
“… an as yet unfinished drama, which contained its own impetus, its own forward movement, which demanded to be concluded in the proper manner but which required of the actors a responsible entering in to the story as it stood, in order first to understand how the threads could appropriately be drawn together, and then to put that understanding into effect by speaking and acting with both innovation and consistency.”

“All four of the canonical gospels were originally anonymous. It was only in the second century CE, when the four gospels were published a a collection that the superscriptions were added to the gospels, attributing authorship to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John respectively. This is also the time that traditions begin to appear about the authors, claiming that they were either original apostles of Jesus or close acquaintances of other well-known apostles. in spite of these attributions, most scholars do not think any of these men were the original gospel writers. None of the gospels is written in a style that suggests the authors was present at the events being narrated. Nor is it likely that the disciples of Jesus were able to write in Greek, the language in which the gospels were written. So we are left with the reality that the gospels were written by anonymous Christians decades after the events that they relate.” (1)

And Allah adds: "Woe, then, to those who with their own hands compose a book and then present it as coming from Allah in order to make a vile profit out of it! Juwairiyah (radhi Allaahu anha) reported that one day the Prophet, peace be upon him, left her apartment in the morning as she was busy observing her dawn prayer in her place of worship. He came back in the forenoon and she was still sitting there. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said to her, “You have been in the same place since I left you?” She said, “Yes.” Thereupon the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “I recited four words three times after I left you and if these were to be weighed against what you have recited since morning these would outweigh them, and these words are:
      سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْـقِه ، وَرِضـا نَفْسِـه ، وَزِنَـةَ عَـرْشِـه ، وَمِـدادَ كَلِمـاتِـه
Subhaanallaahi wa bihamdihi: ‘Adada khalqihi wa ridhaa nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi wa midaada kalimaatihi.
Glory is to Allaah and praise is to Him, by the multitude of his creation, by His Pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of His Words (Recite 3 times in Arabic)

You Christians say that God gave His only son (even though He has several, according to the Bible) to save you. On the other hand, you say that God and Jesus are one and the same, according to your false understanding of John 10:30, so normally there's only one will, a common purpose...
Amos 3:7: For the Lord, the LORD, does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.
Jesus p.s.l.'s mission is to die, and he normally knows this, so he accepts God's decision, his plan... fully subject to His will. He dies a martyr's death, a sacrifice... A suicide...
But strangely enough, on the cross, we sense that he dies reluctantly, that he doesn't want to die... according to a series of events and words
    Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice: Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Did God/Jesus agree to die for you, or was he forced to?
Why does he ask forgiveness of his persecutors, and resent Judas, etc., given that they are part of God's plan?
Why does he ask God to keep him away from this trial that awaits him (God's plan)?
    Matthew 26:42
He went away a second time, and prayed thus: My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to pass away without my drinking it, your will be done!
Why is he angry with those who seek his death?
    John 8:44
Your father is the devil, and you want to do what your father wants. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks lies, he speaks from his own fund; for he is a liar and the father of lies.
In the logic of things, the Jews are not doing the devil's will, but God's, according to you, since they are part of his plan: Jesus pbuh must die to save you lol.
How can something satanic (his death) according to Jesus pbuh himself be something salutary, according to you Christians?
Please answer my questions if what you say, affirm and believe in is true?

The NT GOSPELS - Evidence of Author's & Dates Written
▪︎ Matthew - A tax collector who became Jesus' apostle and wrote about the life of Jesus as the Messiah for the Jewish community c. 60 AD.
▪︎ Mark - A Jew, and a companion of Peter and Paul, who wrote for both Jews and Gentiles about Christ's death and resurrection c. 60 AD.
▪︎ Luke - A Gentile doctor, and a companion of Peter and Paul who wrote for the Gentiles about Christ the saviour for humankind. c. 60 AD
▪︎ Luke - also wrote the Acts of the Apostles c. 60 AD.
▪︎ John - The 'beloved' apostle of Jesus, wrote in his later years about the Word who took on Flesh (John 1:1,14) c. 80-90 AD.
▪︎ John - also wrote 3 Letters and The Book of Revelations c. 80-90 AD.
    ▪︎ James - Jesus' step-brother, wrote 1 letter c. 35 AD.
    ▪︎ Paul - wrote 13 letters c.49 - 65 AD.
    ▪︎ Jude - wrote 1 letter c. 65 AD.
    ▪︎ Peter - wrote 2 letters c. 67 AD.
▪︎ The author of The Letter to Hebrews is unknown c. 65 AD.
    (Wikipedia).
    ▪︎ Jesus Christ's' ministry occurred between 27-30 A.D.
▪︎ Christianity began after the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ when thousands of Jews became followers of 'The Way' (Jesus).
▪︎ The New Testament scholar, F.F. Bruce, gives strong historical evidence that the New Testament was completed by A.D. 100.
▪︎ Most writings of the New Testament were completed twenty to forty years before 100 AD. (Wikipedia).
▪︎ The apostles and their companions wrote the New Testament from their first-hand experiences with Jesus.
New Testament integrity is supported by historians, biblical and textual scholars, along with thousands of early codices, manuscripts and the Dead Sea Scrolls, proving the validity and preservation of the Gospels written between c. 35-90 A.D
(Eusebius, Church History 111. 39 .15; Irenaeus Against Heresies, 111.1)
    INTERNAL Evidence:
▪︎ The internal evidence supports these early dates for several reasons. The first three Gospels prophesied the fall of the Jerusalem Temple which occurred in A.D. 70. However, the fulfillment is not mentioned. It is strange that these three Gospels predict this major event but do not record it happening. Why do they not mention such an important prophetic milestone? The most plausible explanation is that it had not yet occurred at the time Matthew, Mark, and Luke were written.
▪︎ In the book of Acts, the Temple plays a central role in the nation of Israel. Luke writes as if the Temple is an important part of Jewish life. He also ends Acts on a strange note: Paul living under house arrest.
It is strange that Luke does not record the death of his two chief characters, Peter and Paul. The most plausible reason for this is that Luke finished writing Acts before Peter and Paul's martyrdom in A.D. 64. A significant point to highlight is that the Gospel of Luke precedes Acts, further supporting the traditional dating of c. A.D. 60.
Most scholars agree Mark precedes Luke, making Mark's Gospel even earlier.
▪︎ Finally, the majority of New Testament scholars believe that Paul's epistles are written from A.D. 48-60. Paul's outline of the life of Jesus matches that of the Gospels.
1 Corinthians is one of the least disputed books regarding its dating and Pauline authorship.
In 1Corinthians chapter 15, Paul summarizes the gospel and reinforces the premise that this is the same gospel preached by the apostles.
Paul quotes from Luke's Gospel in 1 Timothy 5:18, showing us that Luke's Gospel was indeed completed in Paul's lifetime. This would move the time of the completion of Luke's Gospel along with Mark and Matthew.
This Internal Evidence presents a strong case for the early dating of the Gospels.
    EXTERNAL Evidence - Gospel Dates:
▪︎ Were the Gospels written by eyewitnesses of the events, or were they not recorded until centuries later? As with the internal evidence, the external evidence also supports a first century date.
▪︎ Fortunately, New Testament scholars have an enormous amount of ancient manuscript evidence. The documentary evidence for the New Testament far surpasses any other work of its time, with over 5000 manuscripts, and many are dated within a few years of their authors' lives.
    KEY documents:
▪︎ Chester Beatty Papyri contains most of the N.T. writings, and is dated around A.D. 250.
▪︎ The Bodmer Papyri contains most of John, and dates to A.D. 200.
▪︎ Rylands Papyri that was found in Egypt and contains large fragments of John, and dates to A.D. 130.
From this fragment we can conclude that John was completed well before A.D. 130 because, not only did the gospel have to be written, it had to be hand copied and make its way down from Greece to Egypt.
The majority of scholars agree that John is the last gospel written, so we can affirm its first century date along with the other three with greater assurance.
    EARLY New Testament Papyrus Manuscripts:
▪︎ Dead Sea Scrolls, the Full Text of Isaiah 53 and a portion of every book, c. 250 BC.
▪︎ Old Testament Greek Septuagint c. 200 BC.
    ▪︎ P52 (John Rylands Fragment) - John 18:31-33; 37-38 c. 96 AD
    ▪︎ P90 (Oxyrhynchus) - John 18:36; 19:7 c. 96 AD
    ▪︎ P104 (Oxyrhynchus) - Matthew 21:34-37, 43, 45 c. 60-65 AD
    ▪︎ P46 (Chester Beatty Papyrus) - Romans 5:17-6; 5-14; 8:15-25; 27-35; 10:1-11, 22, 24-33, 35; 16:1-23; 25-27.
    And Hebrews; 1 & 2; Corinthians; Ephesians; Galatians; Philippians; Colossians; 1 Thessalonians 1:1, 9-10; 2:1-3; 5:5-9, 23-28 c. 50’s-70’s AD
    ▪︎ P98 (IFAO) - Revelation 1:13; 2:1 c. 90 AD
    ▪︎ P66 (Bodmer Papyrus) - John 1:1-6,11; 6:35; 14:26; fragment of 14:29; 21:9 c. 70’s AD
    ▪︎ P67 Matthew 3:9, 15; 5:20-22; 25-28 c. 60-65 AD
▪︎ Evidence also comes from the Dead Sea Scrolls Cave 7.
Jose Callahan discovered a large fragment of the Gospel of Mark and dated it to have been written in A.D. 50. Also large fragments of Acts and other epistles and dated them to have been written slightly after A.D. 50.4
Another line of evidence is the writings of the church fathers.
▪︎ CLEMENT of Rome sent a letter to the Corinthian church in A.D. 95. in which he quoted from the Gospels and other portions of the N.T.
▪︎ IGNATIUS, Bishop of Antioch, wrote a letter before his martyrdom in Rome in A.D. 115, quoting all the Gospels and other N.T. letters.
▪︎ POLYCARP wrote to the Philippians in A.D. 120 and quoted from the Gospels and N.T. letters.
▪︎ JUSTIN MARTYR, A.D. 150 quotes John 3. Church fathers of the early second century were familiar with the apostle's writings and quoted them as inspired Scripture.
▪︎ Early dating is important for two reasons. The closer a historical record is to the date of the event, the more likely the record is accurate. Early dating allows for eyewitnesses to still be alive when the Gospels were circulating to attest to their accuracy.
The apostles often appeal to the witness of the hostile crowd, pointing to their knowledge of the facts as well (Acts 2:22, 26:26).
Also, the time is too short for legends to develop.
Historians agree it takes about two generations, or eighty years, for legendary accounts to establish themselves.
From the evidence, we can conclude the Gospels were indeed written by the authors they are attributed to.
THE First Fully Bound Bible Books/Codices
    ▪︎ Codex Vaticanus: Origin 1st century M/S - first Codex, 280 - 330 AD
    ▪︎ Codex Siniaticus: Origin 1st century M/S - first Codex, 300 - 350 AD
    ▪︎ Codex Alexandrius: Origin 1st century M/S - first Codex, 350 - 400 AD
    ▪︎ Codex Vulgate: Origin 1st century M/S - first Codex, 380 - 400 AD
JESUS and the Jews were multilingual
▪︎ "Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross.
It read: 'JESUS Of NAZARETH, THE KING Of THE JEWS'.
Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin and Greek" (John 19:19-20)
▪︎ The Gospels were written in Koine Greek being the World's language in the 1st century
The Hebrew Bible was translated into Greek (Septuagint) c.200 BC for the many Greek speaking Jews
It is well known that first-century Jerusalem was inhabited by Greek speaking Jews who were at least bilingual. And Jesus most likely was trilingual apart from the ability to read minds.
So the original Gospels were written in Koine Greek and sent throughout the World..
▪︎ Jewish culture was heavily influenced by Hellenistic culture, and Koine Greek was used not only for international communication but also as the first language of many Jews. This development was furthered by the fact that the largest Jewish community in the world lived in Ptolemaic Alexandria. (Wikipedia)
    GOD Protects His Sacred Words:
▪︎ "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!
As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!" (Galatians 1:8-9).
▪︎ Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away" (Matt 24:35).
▪︎ God protects His Word & Gospels and warns of antichrists. (1John2:22).
▪︎ Christ's Good News of Salvation, His Birth, Crucifixion and Resurrection hasn't changed for 2000 years.
▪︎ The Gospels are evidenced by internal and external historical, archeological & literary facts.
▪︎ The Gospels are reliable and transparent with any variations transparently referenced in the footnotes.
▪︎ The Gospels have 1000 times more manuscripts than the most documented ancient literature by Greco-Roman historian, Suetonius.
▪︎ Bible is the most comprehensive and reliable source re. 1st century Jerusalem history & used by archaeologists supporting research today..
    Hallelujah..
