- Travel to National Park with Stefan Baumann host of the PBS television show The Grand View Plein Air oil Painting Inspiring Millions to paint outdoors This video is about Touch Move and Inspire. The paintings of Stefan Baumann reveal the true spirit of nature by transporting the viewer to distant lands that have gone unseen and undisturbed. With the huge success of Baumann’s weekly PBS television series “The Grand View: America’s National Parks through the Eyes of an Artist,” millions of people witness for themselves the magic Stefan portrays on canvas, his passion for nature and the American landscape. By distilling his love of nature into a luminous painting of brilliant, saturated color that transcends conventional landscape and wildlife art, Baumann has captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation. Each painting becomes an experience rather than merely a picture - a vivid manifestation of his special and personal union with nature and the outdoor world. Through his mastery of light, color and artful composition, Baumann invites you to experience nature in its purity. It is no wonder that for many years distinguished American collectors, including former presidents and financial icons, have sought out his work.
I lose myself watching Stefan paint. Whenever I start watching him I end up late for appointments. ..hypnotic.
Wonderful! Thank you so much for explaining the techniques you employed in this amazing painting.
Always a pleasure to learn from you. National Park emphasis I enjoy immensely. Grace & Peace
Really nice!
+DONNA SMITH Thanks
Thank you Stefan for a wonderful video. I watched it twice. The second time I forward to the painting. I enjoyed how you placed your brushstrokes and explained what you were doing. I've never done plein air nor painted alla prima before. I would love to take one of your workshops but I have to fit it into my work schedule. The workshop that is close to me is Vermont but October is tough for me. Keep traveling all the way to NJ and I can call it a professional development workshop. Then I can take time off and it's ok. Keep the videos coming.
+Maribel Jusino-Iturralde I would love to see you at one of my workshops Vermont will be fantastic
I guess Im randomly asking but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any help you can give me.
@Julian Oscar Instablaster ;)
@Jase Lucian thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Jase Lucian it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much you really help me out !
Hi Stefan. Would you share how you're mixing that vibrant mossy green? I am trying for a color just like that in a painting of Kauai. Are you using cobalt and cad yellow only, and what ratio? Thank you. Gary Green
With your last name being Green I would not think you would have an issue. Cobalt has red in it... use Veridian with Lemon Yellow
Ah, if it were only that easy. I would change my last name to "Master Painter" and the word "garage" to "professional artist's studio." Thanks so much for the reply. I'll be painting within the hour and will give it a go. I absolutely love watching you paint. - Gary
