Die Hard: McClane is utterly desperate to save Ellis’s life from Gruber. Ellis, a man he doesn’t like and thinks very little of. He is visibly shaken when he hears Ellis killed over the radio. Die Hard 5: McClane, after running over civilians and wildly shooting bazookas in the street: “I’m on vacation!”

Very good analysis. This review reminds me very much of the Plinkett reviews of the Star Wars prequels, not only in it's style, but how well it's able to analyze point-by-point what the movie is missing, what it did wrong, and why this movie doesn't live up to it's franchise. Good job!
I didn't even finish Die Hard 5. The first half of the movie was too painful for me to even finish the film. It is no doubt the worst film of the franchise & it was a disgrace how they butchered the character of John McClane.
I only watched it once and was done with it and have seen the first 3 many times as my favorites especially the first and second Die Hard. Die Hard 4 was not terrible was not one of the best but seemed Willis still was in it and not phoning it in like his most recent movies.
One day I decided to go on UA-cam to see a review for a movie that was coming out, your video was at the top of the list, I don't think I have ever laughed so hard at your videos, the hilarioucity reviews are gold. You have inspired me to post videos about things I am passionate about as well. Thank you,
8:35 Thank God somebody has finally said this, a hero is not interesting unless we can believe he can get his ass kicked at some point. The Bride in Kill Bill almost got killed several times and she only defeated her oponents after they had given their fucking best and Ash Williams, as badass as he is, spends a huge chunk of the Evil Dead movies running away from something before he gets to shoot some deadite in the face which adds tension to every scene they're in.
***** The really injured part is always up for debate (See John McClane literally being nearly unable to stand at the end of the movie or Ash Williams cutting his hand) and I agree we deep down know the hero won't be killed, not only in most movies but also in most novels, but good action movies can make you let go a bit off this fact and make you feel tension and root for your guy to win.
+Arturo Casab Ash Williams gets beaten, tortured, his wife turns into a deadite & he have to kill her, then dismember her later, his hand gets possessed ,then he to have to lop it off, even himself gets possessed & entire movie he gets tormented. But the scene where he gets his chainsaw hand, whole build up to it , its music & that one-liner "Groovy" ,IMO it's the most badass scene in any horror movie. As a kid, i was used to watching protagonists in horror movie gets tormented , scared to death, always running away & it made sense since you can't punch ghosts or demons but it was first time i saw a guy fight back; it was just refreshing & incredibly awesome to see a horror movie guy turn into an action hero & kick some demon ass.
Rotten Tomatoes ratings: Die Hard: 92% Die Hard 2: 66% Die Hard 3: With a Vengeance: 51% Live Free or Die Hard: 82% A Good Day to Die Hard: 14% Need I say more?
That's any path of Hollywood action sequels. The first one being the best (Die Hard), the second one not as good (Die Hard 2), the third one being not too bad (Die Hard 3: With a Vengeance), a completely unexpected comeback good film (Live Free or Die Hard), and then a piece of dried up dog shit typically found under a couch (A Good Day to Die Hard).
That is so bizarre because Die Hard 3 is one of the best in the series, in my opinion even better than Live Free or Die Hard. I think it is the second best one.
Now years later It's sad to remember die hard series didn't end on a high note but hey on the good side people started to appreciate die hard 2 & 3 more
The problem with Die hard 5 was the over top action and misinterpretation of John Mcclane. John Mcclane isn't some superhero with powers. He is a regular guy, a man with a family, a retired cop. He is now getting old. So this is the perfect oppurtunity to show his vulnerability. Show us his struggles, his injuries, he gets shot, he limps, he uses bandages to heal his injuries. He intimidates the bad guys, he makes them angry, annoyed and wish that they die. He is ahead of them. He doesn't get time to rest. Show the vulnerability of the hero. The action must be grounded. Not some kind of over the top truck chase, but a car chase. He doesn't know he is followed, but when he does, make him feel the tension. He is afraid that others may die because of him. That keeps a good die hard movie, a die hard movie. A great plot must be there. I don't know why, but studios today don't emphasize on the fact of having a great action screeplay at their hands. For die hard 6, have david leitch direct it, and have a great writer attached to it. No shaky cams, No quick cuts. Good ol' wide shots, and time for film to breathe. Then only will it work.
When diehard 4 came out I questioned the rating. I mean it's John McClane. At first I thought the PG-13 rating took away from his character. After I watched it my opinion changed. Live free or die hard was awesome. That's why I agree that ratings don't mean anything
I remember going to see this opening day with my friend, and she came out really liking it whilst I was livid. And after I talked about what had happened and why I hated it, she wound up agreeing with me and turning against what she had seen as just a film she enjoyed seeing things blow up in but couldn't really follow the plot. One of my biggest peeves about what they didn't get about McClane is how it's a constant running theme of this film how he isn't affectionate, and "not a hugging family" and all this machismo b.s. ...pretty sure one of the first things he does the second he gets a chance in the first two films was running into the arms of his wife and smother her with kisses and just holds her because it's what he needs right now... yeah that sounds like a man who hates affection.. Also followed up by his constant shouting of "I'm on vacation!" ..no you're not! You're there to watch your son's trial! If it was on vacation then you'd have just gone there and decided watching your son get the death penalty would be the best start to a nice week off!
Bruce Willis is a total sellout. He willingly embarked on a doomed venture with two hacks, and took his awesome Die Hard series to the grave. Shame on him!
I agreed with everything you said Stuckmann! I said basically the same in my review a while back. Didn't even know about your reviews until yesterday. Binge watching now!
Some ideas to potentially fix Die Hard 6: -Bring the setting back to Nakatomi Plaza -Make the villain a Gruber (Hans's son played by Daniel Radcliffe?) -Bring back John McClane's "every-man" status by making his age a factor -Go the "Last Cruade" route and cast Clint Eastwood as John McClane's father. -Recast John McClane's son (maybe with Channing Tatum?)
well, like I said, DH1 was a bank, DH2 was an airport, DH3 was a whole city, DH4 was the whole country, so DH5 should have been atleast a whole continent or the whole world IN DANGER
Not Daniel Radcliffe? How about Benedict Cumberbatch? He is way more sinister. Just look at Star Trek Into Darkness and his performance as Smaug in the Hobbit movies. Now he would make a great Gruber. And, he could have a kick-ass henchman, perhaps played by the Rock maybe, kinda like Karl was to Hans.
TheKersey475 That does sound good, but something tells me that if they did do that, critics would play the 'rehash' card. Don't get me wrong, making the villain a Gruber in Die hard 3 did work amazingly well, but maybe bringing it back to Nakatomi Plaza would make it seem like a rehash, unless the terrorists were intending to commit a completely different crime, or in a different way. Maybe Hugo Weaving as the villain? He would be a great one, he scares the living daylights out of me in every movie I've seen him in - and that's including Proof!
Yeah what is up with that movie? A shitty writer and Owen Wilson as an actually believable dramatic action hero? Geeze, the guy's 'comedy' sucks balls but apparently he can pull off the dramatic action hero schlickt pretty well.
Bro I’ve been following you for almost your entire UA-cam career and I’ve been binging your reviews recently....and I’ve come to realize that you haven’t reviewed Live Free or Die hard? Maybe I’m blind but I went through your die hard reviews. If you haven’t I’d love to see you do one. Awesome job as always!
Can I just say that while I can see why 1, 3 and 4 get a lot of respect ( and rightly so ), I honestly don't see why 2 is ranked so low. I really like it. Nothing was ever going to beat the first but considering how bad sequels to great action films can be ( I'm looking at you, Speed 2 ), Die Harder is actually pretty damn entertaining. And for the record, I want the sixth and final film to be about McClane taking on a gang of terrorist nuns and to be called Old Habits Die Hard.
For some reason these in depth analysis videos are the most interesting movie reviews to me, but few people seem to do them often. Obviously they take more effort to make and I don't want an analysis of Piranha 3DD, but on major film releases, I wish you would do this more often, it was the Prometheus and Drive video that got me to subscribe
My favorite Die Hard Movies are 1, 4, 3, 2....... and 5 is a distant last place. If you hadn't shown a still of the villain, I never would have known it. I guess that's the definition of "forgettable."
As you said, the hero needs to have vulnerable moments. Even Superman (though I'm not a big fan) has had these in his many incarnations. Invincible heroes are boring. Hollywood needs to remember this.
Actually, writer Skip Woods is Bruce Willis' personal writer/assistent. In 'A three evening with Kevin Smith' Smith talks about his time on the DH4 set, including a quote by Woods that there are 20 writers on the movie. So this should clarify why Woods got to (co-?)write DH5; he's been a personal friend and collegue of BW for years. You should go and check Smith's skit out, Chris, because it's a really funny anekdote. Hope this helped.
Great analysis Chris. I felt something ( or everything) is lost when i saw this movie, and you can describe them well. Just an idea but I hope you can make an analysis video about comparison between Guardians of Galaxy and Jupiter Ascending. Both are space operas and filled with over the top ideas, but you can see how different the audiences responded to those movies.
This movie was horrible, and I mean horrible, I'm a huge fan of Die Hard, but as big of a fan as I am, I cannot forgive this hunk of garbage. John McClane is no longer a guy concerned with protecting the innocent, now he's a guy who punches someone because of a language barrier? I couldn't believe that scene, because it goes against everything that John McClane as a character is. Killing bad guys, and being a smart ass to them sure, but hurting civilians? come on! This is a bad film in every sense of the word, nothing redeemable about it, the plot is dull, the action is clunky, and the characters including John McClane are atrocious.
Believe it or not, I think I'd actually like to see a Die Hard 6, with John just being a retired cop trying to live out the rest of his life. Maybe he runs into some trouble at a local bank while trying to resolve an issue with his social secuirty deposit or his pension or something. Maybe Sam Jackson's character from 3 makes a cameo, or Reginald VelJohnson shows up again. John gets into fights. Things explode I'd like to say that 5 ruined this franchise and that we'll never see another one of these movies ever again, but we all know Hollywood is retarded and they're going to regurgitate this kind of pointless drivel at us until Bruce Willis is dead (and then they'll just CG him into the next one,) but oh well. I can dream. Fun fact: My Father actually met William Sadler (Col. Stuart from DH 2/Death from Bogus Journey/A great actor from a ton of other pretty great movies and TV) one afternoon at an utterly massive swapmeet/yardsale-thing in New England, many, many years ago. He walked up to him and said, "I loved you in Lethal Weapon." Mr. Sadler was quite polite about the whole thing, but damn, we've never let him live that down ever since. The funny thing was, my Father was totally thinking Die Hard 2 at the time and that other film just came out instead. The poor guy. :p
Apple TV offer a deal on all 5 Die Hard movies, but the fact that I remembered nothing about Die Hard 5 dissuaded me from going for it. There were a lot of very unnatural action scenes where John McClane’s mouth or face were not visible and yet we heard him shouting and cursing. I did wonder whether some of the loss of John McClane’s personality might have been due to early signs of Bruce Willis’ cognitive problems as well as poor screenwriting, direction and production. After all, when Willis’ early retirement was announced due to aphasia, it was also revealed that work colleagues had been concerned about his decline for years.
While I watched this movie, in the scene where they drive from Moscow to Ukraine (I think it was), I had to check how long that way was. It's quite a long time since I saw it and don't remember that much, but from Moscow to that place in Ukraine would take half a day to drive. It seemed like they drove for like 2 hours, and I don't think the car they drove was full of gas.
YokonAA Exactly. And yes - Chernobyl is in Ukraine, and I'm not even sure if creators of the movie were aware of that. Those two would have to cross the border for that trip.
Great review Chris, and I totally agree with your points here, especially the fact that McClane now seems to have zero fucks now when it comes to protecting civilians and how the Die Hard 5 villain was beyond abysmal. But curious, in your other video detailing how well done the villains of the first 4 Die Hard movies, why do you feel the Die Hard 2 villain of Colonel Stewart to be only” acceptable,” compared to the villains of - DH 1, 3, and 4? I mean, personally, I felt the DH-2 villain of Colonel Stewart, a former US Special Forces military officer gone traitor to be a pretty bad ass villain. Colonel Stewart of Die Hard 2 was a cold, ruthless, and scary psychopath willing to do just about anything to reach his goal. Stewart even coldly and purposely directed a 747 of civilizations into the concrete, killing them, without batting an eye, and smiled, sadistically enjoying himself while doing so. Also Stewart is the one villain of the Die Hard franchise who’s plan came closest to working. If McClane hadn’t lit that fuel trail on Stewart’s escape plane at the last second, Stewart’s entire plan would’ve succeeded, as he and his mercenaries would’ve escaped to freedom. So while not as awesome as Hans Gruber, Colonel Stewart of Die Hard 2 I thought made a very effective villain, equally good as Simon Gruber of DH-3 and Thomas Gabriel of DH-4.
Die Hard 1- classic Christmas movie Die Hard 2- a good sequel Die Hard 3- the best one Die Hard 4- okay, I guess And that's it. They stopped making after the 4th one.
All these days I thought I was the only guy who analyzed Die Hard 5 so much - about it being a crappy sequel to such a classic.. You - Chris - literally stole the words out of my mouth.. This is an awesome critique of Die Hard franchise.. and I so completely empathize with your depressed feelings about this shhhhhithole of a movie..
Timothy Olyphant's character was memorable? Really? I would have used a pic of William Sadler instead. You could even make an argument that he did the most fucked up thing out of all the villains in the franchise (crashing that plane).
twmcgraw303 I don't even remember half the time that he played a Die Hard villain and have to be reminded of it. Shit, I don't even remember his plan outside of involving hacking. The one thing I do remember is that he just felt like a very weak villain to me. McClain just had such an easy time getting under his skin, even his daughter was not scared to talk shit to his face. You just never felt any level of threat with this guy.
Yeah, it's true that he was easily irritated and didn't seem imposing, but he wasn't afraid to put his threats into action. He was not the villain who only threatens to pull the trigger, he actually did pull the trigger. But yeah, he was a different type of villain and that's why he worked for me. Him being a cyber terrorist and very familiar with technology while John McClane pretty much hates anything more complex than a toaster created a very interesting dynamic for me.
I like that Olyphant's character was more hands off. He wasn't a military type so he had to rely on his goons his smok'n hot girlfriend and his tech support to get by. He had to connive in a way that was different from previous villains and he was no less effective or menacing. The biggest problem with DH4 is the scenario. A compelling one at that especially given how real it is but it's like they tried to wrap a die hard movie around it and the two just aren't exactly chocolate and peanutbutter if you catch my drift.
Jaros Bodytko But wouldn't Colonel Stuart (William Sadler) rank higher in that respect (about going through with his threats?)? He killed a bunch of people (what's the capacity on a 747?). I mean, he killed a little girl if you think about it. He might be the most despicable of all the Die Hard villains, including the Gruber brothers.
Really good video, hope to see more of these type of analysed review videos. After watching what Kevin Smith said about Bruce I lost allot of respect for Bruce Willis

Seeing how they did so well with LFODH i really went in to the theater so excited to see Die hard 5 and thinking I was going to be telling all my friends how great it was. I left the theater let down feeling let down and never talked about the movie with anyone.
Has Jai Courtney ever been in a good movie or delivered a good performance? This was terrible. The Terminator he was in was terrible. The Divergent movies are garbage. I, Frankenstein is a mediocre action movie at best. Same for jack Reacher. Yet he keeps getting work. Now he's in Suicide Squad and that is by far the biggest worry I have about that movie.
Jai Courtney was actually okay in this movie, There are a few scenes where your actually can buy that it's his son. Just the whole "he's a spy" back story is bs and over the top. Example is when they figure out how to get into a building their dialogue back and forth where great. Everything else about this movie was fucking terrible, I am a huge Die Hard fan I grew up on them and I own 1-4 on bluray. Fucking pissed me off that they might of killed a franchise with this movie I am in hopes we get another Die Hard With A better director I don't know what the fuck the studio was thinking.
In Skip Woods defence Swordfish is a pretty good film. Well thats what I thought anyway it has problems but still pretty enjoyable. Im not defending Die Hard 5 just saying that Swordfish isnt that bad.
This is such an awful film, aside from all the technical flaws and terrible edits, there's no heart. It's hard to enjoy a film when even the actors look bored beyond belief. Id really like to see a well written sequel to put the series to rest, but it really doesn't seem like Bruce Willis has any interest in revisiting the role (or really any others, he's looked so bored for awhile) so even if it was an impressive film, I wouldn't want to see another performance like this. It feels so phoned in. Oh well, they were fun while they lasted and we got some really good films.
Totally agree with your opinions on this crappy sequel! I also felt the script lacked winks to previous films! For instance, McClane constantly mentions being on vacation, but misses an opportunity to say that "making fists with your toes" can relieve jetlag. It's minor, given the horrible filmmaking, but it shows even more that the studio just didn't care.
The great thing about John McClane was that he was the antidote to all those invincible 80s action heroes. He was human, vulnerable, and relatable. This McClane was one of those 80s action heroes he wasn't supposed to be.

I know your comment is 4 years old but I agree as I am big fan of the original Die Hard and the sequels Die Hard 2 and 3. I have seen them many times and I am only 34 years old. I have seen Die Hard 4 a number of times but own first 3 on dvd. I have only 5th one once and never again.
Well you can say John McClane is
UNBREAKABLE!!
I am so sorry.
Seventy Eight you remind me of when Bruce Willis actually cared.
No he’s Crazy Steve
Die Hard: McClane is utterly desperate to save Ellis’s life from Gruber. Ellis, a man he doesn’t like and thinks very little of. He is visibly shaken when he hears Ellis killed over the radio.
Die Hard 5: McClane, after running over civilians and wildly shooting bazookas in the street: “I’m on vacation!”
What
A Good Day to Die Hard the hugely highly terrible forgettable infamous unpopular uniconic unsuccessful action/adventure film sequel to the highly hugely beloved/popular famous/legendary iconic unforgettable timeless classic global cultural phenomenal blockbuster smash hit action/adventure film series Die Hard Film Tetralogy/Quadrilogy lost the highly hugely important good message from the main protagonist John McClane both caring about & protecting good people from bad people and in A Good Day to Die Hard John McClane the main protagonist does not care about or is protecting good people from bad people and John McClane was kind humble respectful polite in the first four films but in this one he is extremely selfish self-centered rude disrespectful mean impolite
It'll be funny if Chris presented this video while he was wasted.
This video still holds up after almost eight years.
Die Hard 5 great movie. I mean it was directed by John Moore that guy who made the great Max Payne movie. (everything in this comment was sarcasm).
But that would mean- but then you- *-head blows up-*
Very good analysis. This review reminds me very much of the Plinkett reviews of the Star Wars prequels, not only in it's style, but how well it's able to analyze point-by-point what the movie is missing, what it did wrong, and why this movie doesn't live up to it's franchise.
Good job!
"I'm not one of the people who debate about Die Hard 4 being ruined by its PG13 rating."
How I feel about Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
Man, I’m your analyzation videos really deserve more views. I love hearing your thought process on this. Thank you for these!
It's just like Rocky V, I hope they fix it on a Die Hard 6 like they did in Rocky Balboa
or they can cut their losses and not make another sequel
And then die hard 7, with Oscar nomination by Bruce Willis like creed for Stallone 😂
Or John Rambo after the awful Rambo III.

One day I decided to go on UA-cam to see a review for a movie that was coming out, your video was at the top of the list, I don't think I have ever laughed so hard at your videos, the hilarioucity reviews are gold. You have inspired me to post videos about things I am passionate about as well. Thank you,
Daemn. This would definitely go on a top ten movies that ruined the franchise list.
I try to forget this movie

Deadgod91 Never saw it that way, but it's quite true now that you mention it.
This guy... This guy gets it.
God I hate this movie.
Blame the director. He's the culprit. And Hollywood.
+Ivan Corredera Don't forget the writer.
Rotten Tomatoes ratings:
Die Hard: 92%
Die Hard 2: 66%
Die Hard 3: With a Vengeance: 51%
Live Free or Die Hard: 82%
A Good Day to Die Hard: 14%
Need I say more?
That's any path of Hollywood action sequels. The first one being the best (Die Hard), the second one not as good (Die Hard 2), the third one being not too bad (Die Hard 3: With a Vengeance), a completely unexpected comeback good film (Live Free or Die Hard), and then a piece of dried up dog shit typically found under a couch (A Good Day to Die Hard).
You think?
Mission: Impossible: 61%
Mission: Impossible 2: 57%
Mission: Impossible III: 70%
Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol: 93%
AdoreSinging394% Gotta agree that MI IV was much better than the original trilogy. Everything about that film was just fucking brilliant.
I've only seen a few scenes and it looks really kickass
That is so bizarre because Die Hard 3 is one of the best in the series, in my opinion even better than Live Free or Die Hard. I think it is the second best one.
This video used to be called “Everything wrong with Die Hard 5”
Now years later It's sad to remember die hard series didn't end on a high note but hey on the good side people started to appreciate die hard 2 & 3 more
Ha! Terrific comment.
...what?
I love hating this movie.
When diehard 4 came out I questioned the rating. I mean it's John McClane. At first I thought the PG-13 rating took away from his character. After I watched it my opinion changed. Live free or die hard was awesome. That's why I agree that ratings don't mean anything
+ActivistParrot Unless it's Deadpool Deapool really needed the R rating.
I liked how it let a younger audience know the charm of the die hard movies.
I really enjoy that you are so genuine. It is refreshing.
Am I the only one who who thinks that the writer, Skip Woods kind of looked like Mickey Rourke in that picture?
Same 👍
I remember going to see this opening day with my friend, and she came out really liking it whilst I was livid.
Agreed. What a tool
I'm sorry, but no matter who much money we make, if they offer ANY of us millions to do a shitty movie, we'll be accepting that offer. ANY OF US.
I dunno, Steve Carell turned down Get Smart 2 until the script was better
I agreed with everything you said Stuckmann! I said basically the same in my review a while back. Didn't even know about your reviews until yesterday. Binge watching now!
Some ideas to potentially fix Die Hard 6:
-Bring the setting back to Nakatomi Plaza
-Make the villain a Gruber (Hans's son played by Daniel Radcliffe?)
-Bring back John McClane's "every-man" status by making his age a factor
-Go the "Last Cruade" route and cast Clint Eastwood as John McClane's father.
And, he could have a kick-ass henchman, perhaps played by the Rock maybe, kinda like Karl was to Hans.
what about Kristen Stewart as a recast for his daughter?
TheKersey475 That does sound good, but something tells me that if they did do that, critics would play the 'rehash' card. Don't get me wrong, making the villain a Gruber in Die hard 3 did work amazingly well, but maybe bringing it back to Nakatomi Plaza would make it seem like a rehash, unless the terrorists were intending to commit a completely different crime, or in a different way. Maybe Hugo Weaving as the villain? He would be a great one, he scares the living daylights out of me in every movie I've seen him in - and that's including Proof!
I'll be looking forward to it
Absolutely love your analysis videos, subscribed.
Film was crap, tagline was genius. 'Yippee-ki-yay mother-Russia'.
The short answer to that question. Everything
Behind Enemy Lines was good though.
There are only 4 Die Hard movies.
100% accurate! This movie causes me physical and mental pain and was immensely disappointing.
Yeah I LOVE Die Hard 2!!!!!
So John Mclane became Bruce Willis in Die hard 5?
I am so happy that I'm not the only one who enjoys Live Free or Die Hard. You're the best, Chris Stuckmann.
Rian Johnson "Hold My Beer"
It was nice that they released an R rated version of Die Hard 4.0
Chris, you are brilliant, and because of that, you can do better than "nucular".
I was thinking the same thing. If you wanna sound dumb, say 'nucular' :D To be clear, in no way am I saying Chris is dumb.
Eqvil nucular is mostly how it's pronounced in the uk

Even if the whole world pronounced it like that, NUCLEAR CANNOT be pronounced NUCULAR and end up correct. :P
I was one of the concept designers of Live Free or Die Hard. Glad you liked it. Worked really hard on that one!

Same here bruh
"He may be an alien who came to study our reaction to ruined franchises."
Hahahahaha that was great!
They should have replaced the son with the daughter character from 4. Maybe she got involved with some bad ppl. Would’ve been much more interesting.
Hope this helped.
they need to just end the franchise already Willis has gotten too old anyway.
+Toby Royson that and he really just dosnt give a fuck anymore.
+Arbhall McDougall He probably should pair up with Danny Glover and spits out "We're too old for this shit" every now and then
+Arbhall McDougall I think Willis stopped caring after die hard 4 and looper... And some parts of 4 were questionable.
Too old, as well as greedy and lazy!
Great analysis Chris. I felt something ( or everything) is lost when i saw this movie, and you can describe them well. Just an idea but I hope you can make an analysis video about comparison between Guardians of Galaxy and Jupiter Ascending. Both are space operas and filled with over the top ideas, but you can see how different the audiences responded to those movies.
if he would instead have made a video of "everything right with Die Hard 5" then this video would only be seconds long. would have saved some time
I like how you talk & explain. Your arguments are true. I agree.
Well done "ChrisStuckmann".

Let me know when you finally find out 😂😂
I remember watching this video shortly after it came out. Weird that I'm just now re-discovering your channel.
Hey Chris just found your channel and I love it! thanks for your reviewws
Things explode
I'd like to say that 5 ruined this franchise and that we'll never see another one of these movies ever again, but we all know Hollywood is retarded and they're going to regurgitate this kind of pointless drivel at us until Bruce Willis is dead (and then they'll just CG him into the next one,) but oh well.
He walked up to him and said, "I loved you in Lethal Weapon."
Mr. Sadler was quite polite about the whole thing, but damn, we've never let him live that down ever since. The funny thing was, my Father was totally thinking Die Hard 2 at the time and that other film just came out instead. The poor guy. :p
+Digishade

But the rest of the writer films

This isn't made by cinemasins *ding* but still great video.

16 blocks should've been the plot to Die hard 4!!
I think Timothy's character was pretty memorable. He was a different kind of villain for a Die Hard film and he had some pretty good one liners.
twmcgraw303 I don't even remember half the time that he played a Die Hard villain and have to be reminded of it.

Not sure I've actually ever seen the whole movie because I fell asleep in the theaters. It was so bad we couldn't be bothered to watch it
I agree, i LOVED the Die Hard movies, I thought Live Free or Die Hard was going to be a let down but that movie was awesome! Seeing how they did so well with LFODH i really went in to the theater so excited to see Die hard 5 and thinking I was going to be telling all my friends how great it was. I left the theater let down feeling let down and never talked about the movie with anyone.
As far as I’m concerned this movie never happened and doesn’t exist.
The first Die Hard that I slept watching it.
Shion Wataritsuki me too man the movie sucks :D
Has Jai Courtney ever been in a good movie or delivered a good performance? This was terrible. The Terminator he was in was terrible. The Divergent movies are garbage. I, Frankenstein is a mediocre action movie at best. Same for jack Reacher. Yet he keeps getting work. Now he's in Suicide Squad and that is by far the biggest worry I have about that movie.
+Zer0Hour17 Jack Reacher was great IMO.
Watch Spartacus, he was great in that series long before hollywood fucked him up.
Fucking pissed me off that they might of killed a franchise with this movie I am in hopes we get another Die Hard With A better director I don't know what the fuck the studio was thinking.
he wasnt bad in terminator, just... average
+Zer0Hour17 He was good in Jack Reacher. That's about it.
I like the format of this review more than his usual ones, where he just sits in front of a camera and talks to you.
In Skip Woods defence Swordfish is a pretty good film. Well thats what I thought anyway it has problems but still pretty enjoyable. Im not defending Die Hard 5 just saying that Swordfish isnt that bad.
I consider Swordfish as my favorite guilty pleasure movies of the summer.
The A Team was pretty good as well. Totally underrated
are we sure Skip Woods isn't actually Mickey Rourke writing under a pseudonym?
This is such an awful film, aside from all the technical flaws and terrible edits, there's no heart. It's hard to enjoy a film when even the actors look bored beyond belief.
Id really like to see a well written sequel to put the series to rest, but it really doesn't seem like Bruce Willis has any interest in revisiting the role
(or really any others, he's looked so bored for awhile) so even if it was an impressive film, I wouldn't want to see another performance like this. It feels so phoned in. Oh well, they were fun while they lasted and we got some really good films.
U are so on the ball with this video!! The 5th film has almost no connection with the previous ones.
Are we not going to mention that THEY WALKED INTO FUCKING CHERNOBYL WEARING ONLY LEATHER JACKETS!!
UA-camr steals other UA-camr's title
