It is nice seeing people play this game to this day. As a kid, this used to be the game I played day in day out on the PS2. I downloaded it on my PC to emulate it, and I am close to almost reaching 100%. I have had to play the game on lower settings due to my computer not being able to handle the better graphics, but still an enjoyable experience nonetheless.
I never played this game as a kid but I totally could see myself playing this game in my childhood if I got it. Since I never played this game before that one crash event in rank 4 and rank 10 almost destroyed me and my view point on this game
@@saltiestcrystallooking back on it, crash is an incredible fun mode (except for that specific crash mode). But as a kid I actually just preferred the races. It took me so long to do that specific crash one in lone peak, and i dont think my younger self could have even got bronze on it haha.
@@kuyanhits I think out of all burnout games were I play crash mode this game feels the most random because half or more gold medals you see me getting was pure luck and I was 1 to 2 seconds away from hitting the restart button. Actually there are some attempts you see in the video were I actually had a worse setup and got gold compare to better setups and it only got me silver at most. I like the race modes better because it was straightforward but I cannot say the same for crash mode. Rank 4 and rank 10 crash junctions was the most baffling and hardest crash event I have ever encountered the amount of fails I had to cut out from the video was 3 hours. I am just used to burnout’s 2 and 3 crash mode counter.
@@saltiestcrystal I think crash is a nice addition to the burnout series as a whole, purely because of the uniqueness of it, however I do agree that in Revenge, it wasn't really its strong suit. When I think about Revenge as a game, the races and the maps and the cars are what strike me, and the fact the game feels really replayable in those aspects is what makes this game stand out. Maybe crash is personal preference to some people which I get, but the racing and checking traffic is what really sells Revenge in my eyes.
@@kuyanhits as much I love that traffic check feature it can actually mess with someone’s muscle memory pretty because no other burnout games have this asides from burnout paradise but I heard its no where near as strong as burnout revenge is. When play burnout revenge then go to let’s say burnout 1, 2, 3 or dominator its going to cause you to crash a lot because you were trained and told its okay to hit traffic cars going in the same direction. I honestly wish they would introduce the feature much earlier because how you approach traffic with traffic check vs without traffic check is very different

Yeah I been playing a lot of burnout games recently I have not played dominator yet. Even I should I’ll get around to it at some point; I still have a few games I want to record before I go on another break from making videos
one thing i wish burnout series will release on personal computer (steam/epic/gog/windows) by the way here is the list. 1: Burnout 1 2: Burnout 2: Point Of Impact 3: Burnout 3: Takedown 4: Burnout 4: Revenge 5: Burnout: Dominator
This game is so much fun. I got perfect/gold in all events 2 times over. Took me 26 hours the second time around. Now I'm going after the Signature Takedowns (4 to go) and the few challenges I have left, so I can get 100%.
I could see my child version of myself playing this game a lot if I mentioned to my parents I wanted them to get the game for me. However I could see myself crying in pain because of crash event in rank 4 being stupidly strict on how you are supposed to get gold
@@saltiestcrystal to be honest, I'm not a fan of Crash mode. Wasn't a fan when I played Burnout 3 way back in the day, and still I'm not now. I enjoyed every other mode, but Crash always makes me go "aahh... this again?" Dominator gets criticized for not having it, but for me it was a only a positive.
I can get a feeling that this game gives you revenge racer pretty early when the game is not even close to be 100% done. Also I use the revenge racer. Pretty nice car for me.
I honestly think the last 3 burnout games burnout revenge's crash event car list and burnout dominator had more unique cars than the race car list in this game. Most cars you get is a upgraded version of the previous one. I am not a big fan is how in this game it doesn't inform on how you can unlock or what you did to unlock the burnout like in burnout 1-3 and dominator. There are a few cars in revenge where it tells you how you did unlock the car but why does it have to be certain cars and not all cars.
I remember dodging every traffic pn the first level of the game until my car exploded and what's even more funnier.... I thought if your car explodes it means you beat the level (Sorry for my bad english)
1:29:51 I remember this bug 😂 Always on the Eternal City course At least it’s not a game breaker, it’s over quick AND the game gives you “Awesome Air” for it 😂 So even Burnout’s bugs were great 👏
@saltiestcrystal EA never listen to their fans because the game should of been imported onto ps4/ps5 their's not very many games on the classic ps1, ps2 and psp the selection of them are terrible their's a lot of classic games that had potential to be imported onto ps4/ps5.
WTF. how does your car go perfectly straight in crash mode? mine swerves all over the place and doesn't shift up anywhere near as fast so rank 9 jump on the jam is impossible in my game. i have a video showing what i mean. same game, same emulator. wtf
Okay nvm I saw what was your problem on your video, you kept hitting the first green bar than missed it when it comes back down to the second part. Both parts have to be in the green zone to avoid car the car going all over the place
@@saltiestcrystal you have to hit the button twice? but as soon as i hit the green, or anywhere on the bar, the car just immediately starts going.and if i wait for the bar to go all the way down, it counts as a slow start and barely moves. wait, i see what you mean. alright, i need to go test this. annnnnnnnnnd. god fucking dammit. 13.6 mill on the first crash. wow. wowowowowow. this whole fucking time i've been getting golds while swerving all over the place. hhhhhhhhh
@Subreon yeah when I saw your video that issue you meant sticker out like a sore thumb it wasn't until the rank 4 crash event I understand why it has to be in the green
It won’t be anytime soon because one I don’t have a Xbox console, two I don’t have a capture card so I can’t record on the same quality like I do when I play pc games, three I just play this game recently and don’t want to upload a video of the same game without giving some type of explanation as to why the 360 version video is different from ps2 video. Four even though the Xbox 360 emulator exist its not in the most stable state at the moment; if there is any performance issues or other issues that is an emulator problem and does not exist in the original game I won’t play it for the channel because I don’t want my audience to watch or have to put up with a video that shows me playing the game but you can hear and see the game slowing down or not working the way it is supposed to.
this is the best playthrough of burnout revenge in my opinion.
