500% backlight strip failed, if there was a short it wouldn’t light at all, I predict middle strip
Yes, it was a backlight, already have replaced it and turned on. But, there's one more issue after powering up the TV. The display has a flickering issue. I gave a spare TV for this customer for now, and will have to wait on my COF bonding soldering iron to fix it. Looks like one COF is reacting weird when you tap it.
Might take a whole month before I'll fix it - if I'll fix it ;). And, not even 100% sure if that's the problem. But, worth a shot.

One apprentice is starting the next week on Thursday. He've got basics in electronics and will be here to learn to fix TVs. The main focus is on LVDS issues. So, we should have great content later this year :).
@@screen-protector does it flicker at set intervals like every 3 seconds so shakes then ok …….then shakes then ok …… and so on ?
