This is he realest pantry tour I’ve seen!! It Wasn’t staged or over the top it’s like unorganized and how most of us are. I like how casual this is I’m definitely subscribing
I'm Swedish and I want to go vegan. It's hard bc when I try to explain that I don't want to eat animal products anymore to my parents they just babble about how animals here in Sweden have it good (they have it better than other parts of the world but it's still not good), I try to explain to them that as long as the animal doesn't want to be killed it can't be good but they just think I'm exaggerating. Plus when I try to bring the environment aspect in they just talk about how I should think about that when I forget to turn off the light when I leave a room or something minor. They are so hard to convince and idk what to do really.
I'm sorry you are dealing with this! It can be very hard when your family is not understanding :( maybe try asking them to sit down with you and watch a documentary together or something? if you tell them it is something that is very important to you and that you are serious about, they may be more likely to listen
one of my go-to responses to people who say the animals that they eat have a good life is that "humanely raised does not mean humanely killed." There is no humane killing of an animal in today's world (especially first world countries) where eating vegan is cheap, sustainable, and easy.
Don't think my parents understood why i went vegetarian, but I just picked out any meat/ stopped eating meat dishes and sticked to the sides. and my mom slowly adjusted to it and started prepping the meat separately and actually tried some mock meats as well. If they dont want to understand why that is okay, but they should respect your choice. Also not switching cold turkey helps them to adjust to the new situation
I love your videos. I'm not 100% vegan yet, but your videos help me a lot and give me a lot of ideas to make delicious vegan recipes. Keep on the good work! 👏🏼👏🏼
Girl don't ever apologize for kitchen mess we cooks who the deal 💁👍 awesome pantry 😀 I am the same way about expensive stuff like clothes but will spend $130 on groceries 👀 LOL I love your videos. I watch them cause sometimes I feel like an outsider due to my eating habits. Most family and friends laugh at me 😳 but I try to surround myself with positive and u girl sure are 🌍🌸🌺🌻🐦😊👍😀
It´s so refreshing to see a pantry video where everything isn´t like super tidy and clean! Thanks for the video! Got so inspired to try out new groceries.
Well, watched your previous pantry tour just yesterday:) so interesting! I'm at the beginning of my vegan journey and your vids are soooo inspiring!:) love your UA-cam channel so much! Hugs from Russia 💕❤️💕❤️
Before reading: please be prepared for unsolicited advice on organizing your stuff. I have a thing for organizing. >< sorry. You could put all your baking goods to the very top shelf of that cabinet and move the grains and legumes to the lower level of the tower in front of the tea or next to the tomatoes; all of your oats could go in the lower cabinet along with your potatoes (maybe put them in a bin that you can slide in and out of the cabinet for easy access). Then put all your teas on the lowest level of the tower. Second shelf up should be the tomatoes, like you have, as well as the pasta sauce and other pasta/asian items. Keep all of the cooking sauces/vinegars on that top shelf as well as the larger spice containers. Last step: sort out the non-dried fruits from that bin to their designated spots! The big bags of powders can go right next to the tower on the ground. That should declutter your space up a bit if you were interested in that!
Caitlin! I love your videos and your energy 😊 I work at a tea company that works with matcha a lot. We always store our matcha in the fridge since it preserves the freshness most optimally!! It extends the shelf life and keeps the nutritional benefits way longer if you move your matcha to the fridge 😁😁
Looks like you have a lot of amazing food. You should invest in one or two of those industrial bakers racks. You have so much vertical space that you're not using. All those amazing foods should be displayed. Love your channel!
Caitlin Shoemaker also IKEA shelves work great! Like you I have a ton of mason jars and pantry items compared to most and the IKEA shelves work perfectly I have the 2 x 4 lack shelves in white.
My mom turned me on to mung bean sprouts. I make them at home. They're super easy to sprout and tasty to eat. I recommend trying them! Also, in Florida heat, I would put my walnuts and sunflower seeds in the fridge or freezer to keep them from going rancid if I were you.
It's kind of shocking how similar the items we have are! Since I live in a non vegan house hold I struggle in some ways with my diet but after watching this I'm kind of stunned because I didn't think of some of those as vegan! (I was vegetarian for three years but have been vegan for a month or so) Thank you so much for these videos!! 💗
Thank you soooo much for uploading this! ❤️ I got back to college next week and I was kinda stressed about what I needed to buy since I'm planning on cooking my own food.
i've been binge watching your videos for the past week and i think im in lovvveeee! you are such a down to earth person and i feel like my goals and morals in life are similar to yours, so i can definitely relate. so, i just want to thank you for being such a real, amazing and absolutely adorable role model for your subscribers and young vegans like myself.
Caitin you are looking sooooooo well :) Have been loving all your videos and instagrams recently, I didn't think you could get any more smiley and glowing and passionate and inspiring to watch but you are totally glowing at the moment! Since starting watching you last August I have been gradually transitioning to veganism for the last 12 months, sending you much love! 💕❤️
With your rice and mung beans you should make some kitchari. I'm relieved to see you also keep your vinegars in the pantry. In fridge tours I always see it kept in the fridge and I thought I've been doing it wrong all these years. But I do refrigerate Sriracha and other hot sauces. Who knows?
This was really helpful for me because I've run out of a lot of my staples recently and my pantry is nearly empty! Going shopping tomorrow, thanks for the inspo :)
Ooooo you can always drink tea, even in warm weather ;) What I've been doing is make ice tea! : - make regular tea, put it in a bigger bottle (that can take the heat) - add a little bit of sugar if you want - put it in the refrigerator overnight - have delicious ice tea in the morning :) For me it's a hit or miss if the tea i pick is bitter and needs a little sugar after tasting. I've been trying it with the Yogi tea's and their "green energy" tea is so yummy as an iced tea :D
Just use the mesquite powder the same way you have your maca. Same with the lucuma. Throw them both in a smoothie. I'm an organizational nut. I hate all the room those tea bag boxes take up. I take out my tea bags and put them in a tea bag container I got from The Container Store and it saved so much room in my pantry.
My mentality has almost always been if you can't eat it, it ain't worth it 😂. I hope when your lease ends you're able to find a place with a big kitchen to help meet your foodie needs. 😊
You can add the mesquite powder to oatmeal or overnight oats along with maca! It makes the oatmeal taste very caramel-ly! Or it's great in smoothies, also giving a caramel flavour :)
Lucuma powder is really good with smoothie bowls that have denser vegetables/less sweet fruit. It's very sweet and tastes fruity. Mixed in with oatmeal is really good too! :)
Lucuma is my favorite fruit! very delicious with anything that has milk, milkshakes, yogurts, ice cream. To be honest I feel like the lucuma powder is not nearly as delicious as the fruit itself but I enjoy it in a shake with almond milk and banana
I live in Florida too, and one thing you have to be aware of is that most water districts have gone from chlorine, to chloramines... Chloramines can only be removed by reverse osmosis water filters... You don't want to drink that toxic stuff... I can't afford a reverse osmosis system, so I buy reverse osmosis filtered water from the health food store, or I buy distilled water...
I've seen the lucuma & mesquite powders used in smoothies. I've also seen them in baked goods. I know I've seen Jason Wrobel & Julie Morris feature these superfoods.
OMG!! Im from Peru and Lucuma is soo good!! Just put the powder in a banana smoothie (maybe a tbsp) or make some nicecream. I have only used the real fruit before, not the powder, but lucuma tastes amazing! (Try it :D)
Hi - quick side note - I used to keep my soy sauce in the pantry but learned that it should be stored in the refrigerator. Anyway - thanks for the pantry tour!
This video is old now but i wanted to say that nuts and seeds should be keep in fridge to keep all the vitamins and nutrients, minerals... and all the good stuff ☺❤
pantry goals; having so many vegan staples that you forget whats in the back of your pantry lol (referring to when you found that random jar of tahini behind the nut butters)
Pro Tip: Buy an air popper to make some oil-free pop corn with the kernels you have in your pantry! The machines are super inexpensive and last for a good while, and the popcorn is delicious :-)
Whenever I watch Caitlin's videos, I want to be vegan or at least vegetarian LIKE LOOK AT ALL THOSE WHOLESOME FOOD THEY LOOK DELICIOUS (and I love going to vegan restaurants so I am half-way there already LOL)
What kitchen appliances do you suggest buying for a first time apartment? I'm thinking definitely a blender and food processor, but didn't know if you had any other ideas. Thanks 😊
Caitlin, Thank you for your pantry tour!!!! I love hearing your updates! Your videography and edits are incredible. Legumes* 😂 I am totally buying through your links. Thank you! Do you find that apples are best kept in the refrigerator and never get along with any other fruit and veggies?! Ethylene agh I bought goji berries yesterday ✅ have not tried cacao nibs yet. Hu Kitchen chocolate and Taza chocolate ✅ Bless the mess. Your pantry is awesome and that water filter WOW 👏 Love your outro, your Live Below the Line wrap up video three months ago speaks loud to me all the same.
I have tons of stuff too, glad i'm not the only one ;) Especially in the winter up here in NY, i get paranoid i'll be snow buried and have to live off pantry items haha PS keep your hot sauces in the fridge--it's last longer and taste better than on the counter. but your fridge may be too full idk ;)
Could you do a video on what needs to be refrigerated? I transitioned to veganism and I wasn't storing hemp seeds and flax seeds in the fridge but I was told to?!
Hey Caitlin! Do you think it's better to eat natural peanut butter or powdered peanut butter? I know powdered peanut butter has a lot less fat, but isn't it a lot more processed?
Same happens to me... I prefer to buy something like for example a bag of whole almonds( it's expensive in my country ) rather than buying new fast fashion clothes.
Hello! I love your videos and I have been inspired to be vegan when I gain more freedom.. (University!). This video was relaxing to watch and informative, however I was wondering if you could pick a few of your favourite essentials and tell us what kind of things you use them for- not necessarily single recipes. Thanks, sorry if you have this kind of thing already..
I LOVE videos like this and your What I Eat in a Days because I get SO much inspo! Thanks to you I have not only gone vegan but stayed vegan since the beginning of this year ✌🏽❤️ #VeganForLife
I recently went vegan! It’s easier than I thought it would be, but I’m not sure how this school year (I’m a high schooler) will go, as far as time and holidays.
No judging. But I keep all my nuts, seeds, and nut butters in the fridge. They go stale fast if I don't. I like that your kitchen looks real, so don't worry about onion skins, etc.
Hi c: do you have any tips to a vegeterian who try to cut down on dairy and eggs? I want to try to make more vegan meals, both for me and the animals, but i am really picky about my food Any tips would be helpful, food and other
Lucuma is a fruit that Peruvians often eat as an ice cream flavor! When I went vegan I missed that ice cream so much especially since brands don't exactly make a replacement for that flavor lol. I blended up some lucuma powder with frozen bananas and I was sooo happy with the results! You might have to add a bunch like to the point where the nice cream itself is a bit powdery which is normal in the dairy form as well. Honestly lucuma was my favorite ice cream growing up so finding an alternative that really did it justice made me soooo happy :)
CAITLIN! I use the exact same brand of ashwagandha and I'm having the hardest time finding ways to 'hide' it into my morning meal. It's fine in smoothies, but on days that I'd like something different, what would you recommend? I love taking it and have absolutely noticed a positive change in my stress reactions, but it's awful pungent and I find it similar to tobacco in smell and taste 😂
Is it hard to live with a non vegan? I know some people hate living with someone who isn't vegan and some don't really care as long as the person stays clean and doesn't cross-contaminate
Jessica Braunscheidel my BF isn't vegan and the only part that is hard is making sure his raw meat isn't near my food. Sometimes his raw chicken will leak, and it stinks, but it's not the end of the world. Just make sure they are sanitizing properly after they prepare/store raw meat.
I live with a non vegan and it's actually kind of nice because they will never eat your food. When someone has cheese and chicken and mayo and all that stuff to eat, nobody considers taking your apples or tempeh :P
Girl with ur help ive been vegan this whole summer ❤️🙏
ah that is so awesome!
This is he realest pantry tour I’ve seen!! It Wasn’t staged or over the top it’s like unorganized and how most of us are. I like how casual this is I’m definitely subscribing
Would you possibly consider doing a video of like your tip 10 go to vegan meals? Looking for some new inspiration 😊
that's a great idea!
Caitlin Shoemaker yes! I'm trying to find easy staple vegan meals to cook for my family :)
Caitlin Shoemaker yes, please do!!!

I am finally able to be vegeterian bc I earn money, buy food and always prepare it by myself. But my grandparents I live with eat meat.

How old are you?
pantry organization goals right here!
At first I read VEGAN PARTY and was really excited. :D
🎈🎈🎉🎉🎶🎶👏👏
haha love it!
MsSadisah same!!!👌😂
Haha so fun. Would totally attend! ;D
MsSadisah lol same
I love your videos. I'm not 100% vegan yet, but your videos help me a lot and give me a lot of ideas to make delicious vegan recipes. Keep on the good work! 👏🏼👏🏼
that's awesome! Thank you for watching :)
Girl don't ever apologize for kitchen mess we cooks who the deal 💁👍 awesome pantry 😀 I am the same way about expensive stuff like clothes but will spend $130 on groceries 👀 LOL I love your videos. aw thank you Rach! :)
It´s so refreshing to see a pantry video where everything isn´t like super tidy and clean! Thanks for the video! Got so inspired to try out new groceries.
Can you please do a fridge tour? :)
I like that ur pantry doesn’t look like an Instagram pantry which is hard to live up to. This actually looks relatable.
I adore your pantry and admire your place!! There's a blessing in being healthy and there's no shame in being real.
YAY this gave me so much inspo on what to buy next !! Veganism is magic. X
tilly x adina Are u guys vegan?? Just subscribed to you
Hanna Dylan YES we are! Thanks sweetie, we appreciate you
Well, watched your previous pantry tour just yesterday:) so interesting! I'm at the beginning of my vegan journey and your vids are soooo inspiring!:) love your UA-cam channel so much! Hugs from Russia 💕❤️💕❤️
Thank you so much, Nadin!
О, здравствуйте :) Мне ещё нравится Ellen Fisher, она продвигает хорошие идеи, и Sarah Lemkus
Same girl same. Especially as a student, if it's a tshirt or whatever vs better food. BETTER FOOD because duh its food.
Before reading: please be prepared for unsolicited advice on organizing your stuff. I have a thing for organizing. >< sorry.

please spend a day in my kitchen and organise my things :)
Omg girl I was just watching one of your old pantry tours when I got this notification!
that's so funny!
the first few weeks as a vegan are difficult but it gets better after a while!

or a lazy susan..i need one of those soon for my kitchen
Caitlin Shoemaker also IKEA shelves work great! Like you I have a ton of mason jars and pantry items compared to most and the IKEA shelves work perfectly I have the 2 x 4 lack shelves in white.
I was like hmm do I watch this tonight or save it for the walk to work in the morning🤔I CAVED. Another amazing video Caitlin 👏🏻
aw, thank you Amy!
i'm so happy you did this pantry tour!!
yay! hope you found it helpful!
Caitlin Shoemaker it was super helpful and so are the rest of your videos! you have inspired me to be a vegan as well as do yoga every morning!
My mom turned me on to mung bean sprouts. I make them at home. They're super easy to sprout and tasty to eat. I recommend trying them! Also, in Florida heat, I would put my walnuts and sunflower seeds in the fridge or freezer to keep them from going rancid if I were you.

Use the avocado oil to moisturize your skin. Spray on your legs when you get out of the shower and they are warm and damp.
Hu bars are my absolute favorite. I love their cashew butter and vanilla bean bar.
You KNOW Caitlin is keeping is real when she shows the floor food 😂 love it!
Mung beans are also good to sprout and I use it in spring rolls. Like your videos btw😀
This is the most satisfying video on UA-cam.
I recommend refrigerating nuts and seeds to prevent them from turning rancid.
Ooooo you can always drink tea, even in warm weather ;)
What I've been doing is make ice tea! :
- make regular tea, put it in a bigger bottle (that can take the heat)
- add a little bit of sugar if you want
- put it in the refrigerator overnight
- have delicious ice tea in the morning :)
For me it's a hit or miss if the tea i pick is bitter and needs a little sugar after tasting. I've been trying it with the Yogi tea's and their "green energy" tea is so yummy as an iced tea :D
This is so helpful, since i'm moving out next year! also this is so fun to watch 😊
Mung beans are really easy to sprout and they are so yummy on salads!
You should do a house tour 😊 or room tour if you still live at home
Just use the mesquite powder the same way you have your maca. Same with the lucuma. Throw them both in a smoothie. I'm an organizational nut. I hate all the room those tea bag boxes take up. I take out my tea bags and put them in a tea bag container I got from The Container Store and it saved so much room in my pantry.
Maybe make a meal video with all the food u haven't used in a few weeks! That would be fun! Love your vids C!
It makes my day to get on and see a video from you! Love it 💕
aw, thank you babe!
My mentality has almost always been if you can't eat it, it ain't worth it 😂. I hope when your lease ends you're able to find a place with a big kitchen to help meet your foodie needs. 😊

Chloramines can only be removed by reverse osmosis water filters... You don't want to drink that toxic stuff... I can't afford a reverse osmosis system, so I buy reverse osmosis filtered water from the health food store, or I buy distilled water...
One tip on spices: try to buy them whole, not ground. They'll last longer and have a stronger taste.
I've seen the lucuma & mesquite powders used in smoothies. I've also seen them in baked goods. I know I've seen Jason Wrobel & Julie Morris feature these superfoods.
Glad to see another cupboard like mine with a buttload of nuts and nut butters!
OMG!! Im from Peru and Lucuma is soo good!! Just put the powder in a banana smoothie (maybe a tbsp) or make some nicecream. I have only used the real fruit before, not the powder, but lucuma tastes amazing! (Try it :D)
Mesquite and lucuma are great to use for low glycemic baking recipes 😎
Hi - quick side note - I used to keep my soy sauce in the pantry but learned that it should be stored in the refrigerator. Anyway - thanks for the pantry tour!
Speaking of "Vegan Party" can you please make a video of Vegan Party Food ideas?:) to host a party?:)
can you please please make a video on how you make broccoli sprouts?
Omg that little Novo Amor outro remix tho. ♥️
Yeah nutritional yeast. Have you tried sprinkling it over freshly popped popped corn? It is pretty good actually.
ORGANISATION is what I am working on!
LUCUMA FRUIT POWDER! You can make nice cream, a smoothie, nut yogurt with it.... It is a special fruit we dont have in the US.
Great pantry staples I love it...can you do a video on how to do the broccoli sprouts, please?
What kitchen appliances do you suggest buying for a first time apartment? I'm thinking definitely a blender and food processor, but didn't know if you had any other ideas. Thanks 😊
Please show how you make your own Kombucha!!
I am obsessed with Kombucha 😍 It's so good!
Caitlin, Thank you for your pantry tour!!!! I love hearing your updates!
Your videography and edits are incredible. Legumes* 😂
I am totally buying through your links. Thank you!
Do you find that apples are best kept in the refrigerator and never get along with any other fruit and veggies?! Ethylene agh
I bought goji berries yesterday ✅ have not tried cacao nibs yet.
Hu Kitchen chocolate and Taza chocolate ✅
Bless the mess. Your pantry is awesome and that water filter WOW 👏
Love your outro, your Live Below the Line wrap up video three months ago speaks loud to me all the same.
Omg this makes it look so easy! Makes me feel better about my vegan food lol
Definitely pantry goals😍
I have tons of stuff too, glad i'm not the only one ;) Especially in the winter up here in NY, i get paranoid i'll be snow buried and have to live off pantry items haha PS keep your hot sauces in the fridge--it's last longer and taste better than on the counter. but your fridge may be too full idk ;)
Thank you, I really appreciate it! This video was very helpful. Have a wonderful day everyone :).
Could you do a video on what needs to be refrigerated? I transitioned to veganism and I wasn't storing hemp seeds and flax seeds in the fridge but I was told to?!
Hey Caitlin! Do you think it's better to eat natural peanut butter or powdered peanut butter? I know powdered peanut butter has a lot less fat, but isn't it a lot more processed?
recently found your channel, i love your content! keep up the fun videos :)
Same happens to me... I prefer to buy something like for example a bag of whole almonds( it's expensive in my country ) rather than buying new fast fashion clothes.
So glad your pantry is as chaotic as mine!
Try adding that can of coconut milk to your smoothies. It's good too.
Have you ever stored your sriracha in the fridge? If I am not mistaken I believe it keeps better that way.
I LOVE videos like this and your What I Eat in a Days because I get SO much inspo! Thanks to you I have not only gone vegan but stayed vegan since the beginning of this year ✌🏽❤️ #VeganForLife
Can you please make a video about the pictures on your wall behind? They're wonderful
I recently went vegan! It’s easier than I thought it would be, but I’m not sure how this school year (I’m a high schooler) will go, as far as time and holidays.
Thanks, I Am A Pescetarian Vegetarian.
Any reason you don't put molasses in your morning drink anymore? Love this video! :)
No judging. But I keep all my nuts, seeds, and nut butters in the fridge. They go stale fast if I don't. I like that your kitchen looks real, so don't worry about onion skins, etc.
Hi c: do you have any tips to a vegeterian who try to cut down on dairy and eggs? I want to try to make more vegan meals, both for me and the animals, but i am really picky about my food
Any tips would be helpful, food and other
How would you prepare broccoli sprouts?! With salads maybe?
I would keep the nuts in the fridge. It prevents rancidity and oxidation.
I loved it! I've never eaten tahini and I really want to try it 🤔
Lucuma is a fruit that Peruvians often eat as an ice cream flavor! When I went vegan I missed that ice cream so much especially since brands don't exactly make a replacement for that flavor lol. Is it hard to live with a non vegan? I know some people hate living with someone who isn't vegan and some don't really care as long as the person stays clean and doesn't cross-contaminate
I live with 4 meat eating guys. They eat their stuff. I eat mine.
Herb Derb same with my family of 5
No, I don't think so! I actually filmed a video about this on my channel previously :)

This is seriously so helpful!
You could do cold brew tea with all that tea ☕️
Can you make a kombucha video, like how you make it? because I want to start making my own!!! 💕 thanks so much
I already have one on my channel :)
