    What a great way to present different rubs to your subscribers, very informative and helpful and you even got me wanting to order 4 other rubs to try them out, although I have my own private stash of rubs that I love using!
    Took me a while to get on UA-cam to watch some videos. Been helping my paralyzed sis, even today, I was in Baytown all day teaching her boys how to cook after delivering them some groceries.
    Loved the video and thank you very much for the shout out of HMP! I absolutely love your honesty and sincerness! I introduced a new customer to your channel today.
    Love you brother!

    People seem to use way too much rub and gets too salty to eat.
    I make a no salt Cajun rub with added pepper and garlic.
    The last brisket came out perfect .

    The heaven made rib rub and hog Waller are my favorites. Thank you because if it wasn’t for you I would’ve never heard of either of em

    U sold me on heaven made products several years ago. So I always use “it’s incredible” and top that off with “texas best rib rub” on my ribs. All I add is coarse black pepper. Thanks for the inspiration and suggestions!

      That's actually a great combination. Others have said the same thing.

    Great information James. As a culinary school grad I prefer to create my own rubs. Toasting and combining spices allows me more control over flavor profiles. Using different types of salts greatly effects flavors.

    • @CentralTexasGrilling
      @CentralTexasGrilling  2 роки тому +1

      I definitely agree when it comes to different salts effecting the flavor for sure. I like mixing up my own rub from time to time but I mainly just buy them. The way I look at it is, these companies have already done the R&D on the rubs so I just buy them most of the time. It's also easier for me to just buy them because they usually have access to ingredients I don't so. I appreciate you stopping by.

    really love those heaven made rubs that I first learned about watching your videos, I've bought quite a few in the last couple of years. Going to try out some of these and looking forward to the next ones. could you mention which are really salt heavy in the upcoming ones?

    • @CentralTexasGrilling
      @CentralTexasGrilling  2 роки тому

      Glad you enjoy them Rob. I can definitely make mention of which rubs are heavier in salt content. These 5 rubs in this video I would aren't really heavy with salt in case you're wondering. Some of the rubs I will feature are so I'll make mention of that.

    You gotta try Ricky Bobby Seasoning and Rub!! James Crawford just won Grand Champion using it on all three meats at the Lineman's Rodeo in Seguin. 52 teams!! It's a game changer!!

    Thanks for the video. May need to try your recommendation for the Blues Hogs. Their website even suggested to use the rub on seafood. 🦐🐷🥦🐔

    I hate to say this James, but it's nearly too hot to bbq, here in Houston right now! Notice I said Nearly, Lol.

      I'm with ya. It's definitely hot as hell here in Texas, but that ain't going to stop us from BBQing right lol

    have you done a video on your favorite combos for ribs if you use more than one rub for the backyard?

    • @CentralTexasGrilling
      @CentralTexasGrilling  2 роки тому

      I don't believe so but I can try and do one after this series. I will say one of my favorite combos for backyard ribs is Lowry's Season Salt and Coarse Black Pepper.
