The outer walls of Constantinople were 12 m high on average which honestly looks about right in this game compared to the size of units. The walls just look massive because all the other buildings are relatively small compared to people with the exception of landmarks.
Love to hear some arabic in the game as an arabian and the vill in 9:28 said that the building will still there even after he's death like he's going to build it in a good way

My biggest complaint about the game thus far is the whole map isn't revealed at the end of the match. Would've loved to see more of the opponents econ and production there :)

9:20 he said this better stand firm even after i die xD the voices for the abbassids are really lovely i like it so much, i think i heard that guy voice before he is known for dubbing few cartoon shows or movies to Arabic for channels like cartoon network and such
The walls are the only thing in consistent scale with the units, which I think is fitting as they interact with the units more directly than random houses, blacksmiths, etc.
I judge the quality of voice acting by how scouts scream when they find enemy units. So far my favourite is the female Chinese scout, but y'know what? That Abbasid male scout is pretty good too
The enemy made a huge mistake by building crossbows instead of archers. Crossbows only do extra damage against heavy units, which camels are not. He uneccessarily gold starved himself by building crossbows
@@NanoNaps you can definitely be gold starved with that landmark. Its happened to me in the lategame with a full cathedral. Just look at Drongo: he had upwards of 70 vills on food at some point and he was still floating around a couple hundred food around the end of the game. Its very easy to run out of resources in a late game attrition battle where you are constantly making units
Yea, this game would have been done halfway through if the dude decided to start making normal archers. He spammed gunpowder and crossbows which don't have any advantage whatsoever over the camels.
Crazy game. But i feel like the cannons need a bit longer unpacking time, this is far too fast to pack and unpack, especially when they are so effective against buildings. I don't mind the damage.

@@lucrichard9449 I think slower unpacking and slower turning, capped at maybe 65 degrees would be good. The cannon would fire within the arc it currently has, and could move that arc within 65 degrees infront of it before needing to unpack and rotate.

Instead of dropping each farm individually, select the farm and shift click right on the mill when you go to place it. it'll automatically place it around the grid how you want it. keep clicking for however many farms you want

In the first days, the game looked like a disappointment by looking at some other channels, but the more people showcase the new awesome features and get the grip of them, the more exciting and well thought-out this game looks like. I'm now very glad I pre-purchased the deluxe version.
I think you should have gotten a few villagers on stone for a forwards keep so that with the tech it would auto heal your units Edit: it also killed me to see you not get the seige upgrades for health
Nice fast imperial, your strategy worked; You could leverage more of the imperial tech if you go that route; The enemy was using wrong counter to your army; It needed skirmishers, pikemen, mangonels.

The building's grid size is way too big, you never seem to be able to place a building in those narrow passages because of gold piles or other obscurations
you could have easily ended the match at 25 mins, you had over 20 camel archers right in his eco, if you clapped all farmers and lumberjaks the match would have ended right then and there.
It's important to note that people don't really have a lot of information yet about what counters what, the most effective counter against Camel Archers surprisingly is the Springald + Normal Archers
@@adrianhirst484 No it's based in the Medieval to Early Modern Era (800-1600AD). Hence why the game already has Abbasaids, Chinese, Indians etc (not European). And why it's predecessor (AOE2) had Mesoamerican civs, and African civs

To be fair, it is really hard to be gold starved with the cathedral and 3 relics like this guy had.

That fast pack\unpack is a unique upgrade to that civ. I think it's called Springs.

Checking the Madrasah that late after hitting Imperial was insane. Incendiary Arrows would let your Camel Archers wipe buildings
Even if you wanted to only use camels, maybe a few camel riders would be useful to deal with the the enemy siege.
You can shift click fields on the mill to auto place them around it. Cheers.

Lands wield swords, Holy Roman Men-at-arms can wield 2H for +2 damage and swap to maces for armour pen
