Growing up in Venice, FL, Dr. Paul Bearer’s ‘Creature Feature’, Fangoria Magazine and all the horror movie box art at the mom and pop video stores, started my obsession with horror at a very young age. Thanks for keeping his memory alive.

I met Dr. Paul Bearer at my kindergarten Halloween carnival in 1982 (83?) in St. Petersburg, FL. I won a autographed picture of him for my costume. He was there with his hearse. :) I watched him every Saturday growing up. I appreciate this tribute, Jay!

My husband grew up in Zephyrhills and he watched Paul Bearer every time he was on tv. We know a guy in z-hills named Roger Boyes who wrote a book about Dr. Paul Bearer.... if you are interested... Great video man!!

I remember watching Creature Feature often on Saturday afternoons, as a kid. I can also remember one Halloween season (maybe ‘79 or ‘80) there was a haunted house set up inside Tyrone Square Mall and he made an appearance there to sign autographs. He drove his hearse right down the inside of the mall, from where JC Penney’s is, down to the center of the mall, where the house was set up (in front of Maas Brothers department store-now Macy’s). That was also the first haunted house I ever visited. Good memories!

I remember the two pie plates together flying saucer over Tampa Bay saying today’s Creature Feature…. I couldn’t remember who it was. I remember my dad took me to meet him once at a special event. The more and more I see things like this, it just reminds me of how fast time goes. Just think, your anniversary video of the 20th anniversary is actually older than the 20th. The first time I was at WDW it was the 12th year, I don't remember that, but I was also at the 15th year anniversary of WDW which I remember quite well. They just celebrated 50 years, crazy.
