    I used to have 100 plants. We had a sun room in that house. Long story short, we adopted our son, he was high needs, and I totally neglected my plants. The ones that survived, I rehomed. But because of Jodi, I now have 7 plants 😂! Time will tell. P.S. my son is 33.😊

    You should have the tree guy cut the tree in your front flower bed and plant a new tree in the spring. Redbud trees are beautiful!

    Back in the spring we got too much rain then it turned dry then really hot really early. I just want normal weather. Yesterday October 1 it was in the 70’s but the humidity was so high it wasn’t enjoyable. I got a load of wood chips yesterday. I’m so excited. Not from chip drop but my electric company was trimming on my road and my husband asked if we could have some. You need a helmet to garden in 🌰 lol.

    I do hope you can save the diffenbaccia. The other plants are doing so nice. Full and pretty. I have a few I'm struggling with. We don't have a lot of sunlight in our house. So I have moved a few around to play with spots that do get a little more light. I think I am going to have to get a few grow lights to help some out. We luckily got spared the hurricane that was coming for us in GA. But it hit my family and friends in SC and NC instead. It has been awful for them. Everyone I know if safe but have so much damage and tons of trees fell.

    Hi, Jodi! I had a friend that had a pothos plant and kept it in her living room in the big window (an East window) and it trailed all around the curtain rods and window sill like crazy. They love sunlight. Beautiful plants. You are doing great considering you don’t know what you’re doing.😂😂😂 Hugs to all! Love Flash!🐈‍⬛👍💜🍁🍁🍁

    Hi Jodi 👋 yes. We have oaks. During acorn drop days i use an old hard hat. 😂
    It's been raining here most of the time since before Helene made landfall. So im really tired. PT is helping. I can now straighten my arm out a lot more.
    2 daughters, a son-in-law & a granddaughter are in NC in the Asheville/shelby areas. They're ok. My grandson is in Brooksville Florida which was East of Helene's landfall.
    It's been tiring dealing with the air pressure systems.
    Im excited for all the plant pluses and totally understand all the "plant bummers" happening.
    Anywho, im going to sleep, now. Catch you next time.

    Have you considered your bee bonnet for the acorns, typically you can seperate the top part from the suit, and at least back in the day there was a hardish hat holding the top part out from your face and neck.

    I also did plant chores today. I have I think 55 plants. Proping in water is not nessary you can root in soil most of the time. Water roots and soil roots are diffrent that's why your water props die. As far as trips use a systemic it will stop them before they get going.

    Thanks for the advice on your plants I was checking mine as you were talking and I found some similar damage your advice has helped me so many thanks , plus your enthusiasm is catching 👍😁. Great video this week as always , can we see your family room Fall decoration next week please .

    Hi Jodi, I know here on the tube, that systemic pesticide is controversial, but that’s what I use to keep the pests away. I also make my own soil mix. I use a good potting soil base, I add worm and guano castings, horticulture charcoal, orchid bark and perlite. I don’t have measurements, I just measure with the heart 😊 I have close to 200 plants, and this mix works really well with all of them. My plants are all thriving. Also dieffenbachia are notorious for getting thrips. Again I use systematic granules. Please feel free to reach out to me if you want to chat about planty things!

      @jodidunnmymessylife1847  10 годин тому +1

      Debbie I did not realize diffenbachia were thrips magnets 🤦‍♀️ it’s one plant I very rarely see in any plant videos. I used the systemic last time and I’m using it again. It did seem to get rid of them last time so hopefully they are gone again. I really should make my own soil. Thanks for sharing what you use ❤️

    Hi Jodi! I was wondering if you were going to upload your video today! I watch your weekly videos as a fold laundry on Tuesday mornings! 😂 I improvised with one of your older ones. But I got to show my husband sweetie and cutie! When we were getting ready for my stockpile sale last week my husband got distracted by our neighborhood squirrel and was trying to coax it to come over with chips so he could pet it 🙄😂 I told him you use peanuts and it seems to work lol!

    Was it just my phone or was there something weird about the video? when you put the still picture of the manjula pothos up it stayed up for the rest of the video and covered up the other things you were showing.

    I would think outside of water plants once they start sprouting that first root it would need air. Or am I just not thinking about that right? Im not a houseplant person.... my son kept them alive for years and has me in training I think, for when he moves out. 😂

    My yes is a mess as I’ve been decluttering inside the house in September. It’s been too hot to do yard work. But I do have a video coming out Friday of the start of my Fall yard cleanup.

    • @GoingGreenMom
      @GoingGreenMom 13 годин тому

      Lol, your yard cleanup over winter is still interesting to me. Have you started replanting your garden yet? Not sure how hot is hot, but you might want to get tomatoes and peppers planted inside to plant out unless stores have starts this time of year down there.

    My household plants are not doing good 😢 I’m having depression and since then they are not doing good. I wonder if they sense my feelings, should I rehome them? I also wonder if the depression will get worse if I will feel like I was not a good mom for my plants, kind of an emotional cycle

    I like where you put your Hucherella, Astillbe and Sun King. I know from my own experience that they actually like and do better with some sun and not total shade (like dappled sun) so that may be okay to leave them where you planted them. Makes the beds look fuller and more finished. I think I would work on the beds around the house before doing the woods anyway. You can see them from the house and enjoy them more 😊 So related to you saying you have no one to talk to about plants except for us!
