I never understood the animal towels thing TBH. Dunno. Karaoke on this ship was so much fun. Glad you enjoyed the Lady Kyle. Virgin is trying to upset the industry - like Branson has done with his hotels, airline and record label. Finally - folks reading who want to jump on a sailing - get involved w/the crew - they are treated fairly w/pay and benefits WITH NO TIPPING. Best in the industry. That matters to me - and hope it matters to others.

Instead of a cruise director, VV has The Happenings Crew. Think mini cruise directors that set the vibe for all of the activities. If you like to have your day/night all laid out in front of year, scheduled, VV is likely not going to work for you. A loose sense of things, w/changes you an make on the fly? Yer gonna love this model. Finally - it's not all party party party. There are so many quiet areas to hang and do get your relax on. The Dock - the area on the back of the ship by the wake - is exactly this vibe. Fell asleep a lot there. Been on 4 sailings w/2 more booked.

The netting at the rear of the ship is for you to lay on not walk on. They do have the option to have your luggage brought off the ship for you. We had no issue booking the wake steakhouse for both dinner and a breakfast.
The galley food is fast if you go during nonPeak times.
We booked and saw every show, including one where we sat in front of you, and we also did the high tea option in the bar. The bars have some of the highest end liquor offerings of any cruise ship.
I’m new to your channel and I love it! My favorite is your cruise reviews and taking us along on each day of your cruises. But what I really want to say is how much appreciate no swearing, no using the lord’s name in vain, clean and great content. So glad I found you!
This was super helpful Kyle! We had been on the fence in deciding whether to try Virgin or not, especially because it is a bit on the pricier side. I always value your input and appreciate your honesty! I’m a foodie myself and if you say it’s as good as it is, I’m sold! Heading to Miami in July for our first virgin Voyages cruise! I think it would be a great addition to do videos like this because it’s simple, clear-cut synopsis of your experience… I mean it helped give us that extra confidence and excitement to book! The food is incredible! We really want to go back on another Virgin Voyage again! We were on a 5 night voyage and didn’t get to try it all but what we had was delicious and high quality. Our experience in the galley was definitely better than Kyle’s though, we didn’t have issues with the app, and we went to a few shows and loved them all. We did book with a travel agent which I highly recommend based on things I’ve heard about difficulty getting through on customer service in general, and travel agents will do that for you.
Everything except booze is included! They usually incl a bar tab! Cheaper than a lot of cruise ships…

The only thing that I did miss that I do appreciate is when you review the ship deck by deck… kind of giving us a layout and what to expect.

Virgin is really easy to find your way around and from what I’ve seen of the deck plans all of their ships are identical layouts so far. But we managed to find our way around with no problem within less than a day. Things are very well marked and if you do happen to get turned around there’s usually a crew member close by who’s happy to help.

I fly from the UK, this time next week (April '24); I'm doing the same cruise (solo traveller) as you and Casey - I'm on deck 14, right at the front, in an XL Sea Terrace & can't wait to try out the hammock. I love that I've already pre-booked Pink Agave, Razzle Dazzle, Extra Virgin and the Wake for dinners over the 4 nights, especially after your reviews on the food!
You should really try cruising as a Mega Rockstar on Virgin....it's the best! Butler service, bottomless minibar in your suite, and drinks up to $25 are free for you and your friends!!! Sad that you missed a lot of things in your cruise review like the spa and half the restaurants
I believe they may have viewed your video. Just got off of Scarlet Lady for their New Years cruise and they offered luggage service for the last night. Bags had to be out in front of your door by 10pm. And there was no waiter service in the Galle. I loved it for my first cruise.
You're suppose to lay in the net, not stand on it. You can find them at many treetop walking areas, they are pretty popular.

I'm so glad you liked the cruise! I went on Virgin for my first cruise ever in February and I was hooked. I knew you would love the food! I'm going on a back to back, 14 days on the new Virgin ship out of Greece this summer and am pumped! I just got off my very first Disney cruise and the food paled in comparison to Virgins.
For the luggage, there is assistance. You have to have it out by 10:00 pm the night before debarkation. The notice was on the homepage of the app. It showed up about mid-day the day before we got off.

Well, you sold me. Just booked my first cruise ever for my b-day in 2024, and went with Virgin Voyages. I am a big foodie, and you just pushed me over the line. Hopefully I'll see you when you sail in 2024! Thank you for all the amazing information. Going to steal your notes on when to go to the hot tubs when everyone eats. Question though; when did you get your boarding time? I want to be on early, but so far haven't seen a way to pick my boarding time.

I just returned from a cruise on the SL yesterday. I couldn't believe how smooth the ship moved. I never felt like I was on a cruise.
Looked like y’all were having a blast on that cruise so i just booked one for June 14 😂, one thing i was just seeing they don’t have a lot of excursions like royal does
How was Scarlet night?! Since we missed that on your vlog I’m curious what it all entails. I’ll be sailing on Scarlet Lady this October for 1st time. Wondering what to expect.
Scarlet night is an experience. It’s seriously so hard to summarize it. There’s kind of a central “plot” that runs through the night but there’s tons of different entertainment happening all over the ship all night, culminating in what I’d describe as a giant dance/pool party at the main pool with people jumping in fully clothed. The whole experience is pretty much what you make of it, if that makes sense.

To be fair virgin doesn’t have any specialty restaurants! Everything is included as far as food
Just got back from our 1st Scarlett Lady today….everything you complained about didn’t matter to my wife and I. Went on Royal Caribbean last year…that’s a dump compared to Virgin. This was our 2nd cruise.

I'm with you! Carnval Mardi Gras has some of the most AMAZING food at sea! But, Virgin Voyages hands down has all cruise lines beat! There is really NO comparison. If you are a "foodie" this cruise line is for YOU!

Before the Vrgin series you did a vlog (i think it was at Springs) and saw a gold license plate holder. Did you buy it and does it fit on your car? I bought one last fall and the holes dont line up with the holes on the car and the plates are the wrong shape. Almost as if they were designed for use outside the US.
I do have hit, haven’t put on car yet might just keep it off

I'm glad you covered this ship. Now I know for sure I would not want to go on it, just not the partying type. But I do like that the crew there was enthusiastic. That always makes the vacation more fun. Even though it was 18 and up, I don't think I would want my just turned 18 year old son to be exposed to all the sexual references. Trying to decide between the Royal Carribean and Disney as my kids range in ages between 12 to 21. I would like to go as a family. But thanks again! This was very informative.
Having gone to an all girls catholic convent school in ireland from 4 to 18 - i loved Virgin voyages with my mom. In ireland we thank Richard Branson for bring contraception to Ireland as he illegally sold condoms in his Virgin megastore record shop in Dublin in the 1990s. BONO from U2 paid for his bail. Without Richard branson ireland wouldnt have been able to have 53% of our population with a university degree. We spent 4 weeks on it last year and have 5 weeks booked on it this year. We do the daily sunrise yoga.
Go on a Disney cruise it's the best for families and it's really fun lots of stuff to do and great for kids

Kyle, Virgin curbed capacity to 1.800 because of COVId-19. So, to allow it to be maskless reasonably; lowering the COVId safety risk. Virgin cited being short staffed on these cruise offerings. I like the boat. Just the cruise destinations aren’t very good.
I’m going on mermaiden voyage for Resilient lady, and according to sailor services, they’re back at full capacity allowing 2700 guest….
Hi Kyle, great summary & review. The series was great. The ship was very nice - I liked the modern feel & that show was amazing. Not sure if it vibes with my personality but definitely worth a try. Not refilling water glasses regularly would be a big no-no for me 😅
We didnt have an issue with water on valiant lady. Been several times with my mom and loved the morning yoga and zumba class
