@@edwardgaines6561 I say it's my favorite because it's easily the one game I played the most of as a kid. Easily cleared this game a few hundred times.
I didn't get into Metroidvanias and RPGs until I was almost out of high school.

Well he did compose the OST for _Super Adventure Island_ for the SNES. It's not hard to imagine. ☺

I'm curious to how remixes/covers of "Down and Out," "Explosive Situation," "Heavy Hitters," "Smeared Grafitti," "Straight To the Top," and "Sunny Skies" would sound in the YM2612 style from you, if not the CPS2 style, in the near future. I mean, Mega Man 7 and X3 could've used the ol' hint line back in the day too.
X3 opening stage theme is the best
You know about the MSU 1 hacks? They made Mega Man X-X3 with Genesis style soundtracks that you can play on a real SNES with a SD2SNES flash cart or you can use an emulator too
The Mega Man X one uses the Savaged Regime aka Gecko Yamori Genesis style remixes too

If it is a Real Emulation of this Music for the Genesis System, then the Super Nintendo Sound is much better. As almost always, the Genesis Sound sounds like a Bad Pipe Noise.
