If it makes you feel better, I'm not "a real fan" but I still know tons of her unreleased tracks and appreciate them a lot. Some of them, like this one, even way more than the released ones.
I’m a new fan of Britney Spears and I just realized that people really tried to make her seem like some manufactured bubble gum pop star. She’s wayyyy more than that! Love this song and love her as well. Pharrell + Britney is the best! #FreeBritney
Sugarfall could’ve been like a B-Side to Gimme More but it would be splendid if it was a standard or bonus track because this song deserved to be on the album.
Haven’t heard this since around 2008 because it was listed as “Toy Soldier” in……the files I had…..but my cousin heard it and was like, “This isn’t Toy Soldier. Toy Soldier starts like, ‘smash on the radio bet I penned it’…” and I just stared at her because what does that even mean?? I had literally never heard it before. Anyway, years passed and I could never find THIS SONG again because, as my cousin pointed out…this was in fact, NOT Toy Soldier. 2022 and the mystery is finally solved! Had to google the 5 lyrics I remembered. (“Could you pass my shorts?” for those who are curious.)
“Hear a smash on the radio, bet I penned it” is Sean Garrett’s tag (what producers or song writers say at the beginning or ending of a song, it’s like their catchphrase). He is a song writer and he also sings, but has had made a lot of hits for many other artists.
Omg same!!!! My cousin downloaded this on my iPod for me wayyyy back and it was also listed as Toy Soldier. I remember looking it up and sounding completely different and being so confused and upset! We must have downloaded the same link😂
The fact there were even this many good songs available for the album... Its a shame the conservatorship never let us see where she could have went. This Britney would never release a "Britney Jean"
This song is awesome. I wish we had a mastered version to listen to. who decides which tracks make it onto an album anyway? Whoever it was was stupid not to push for this song to be included on there. At least make it a bonus track or b-side! Geez
supafli142 I wanna hear the mastered version of all these phenomenal unreleased songs because I’m 100% sure they would be hella bops that I would be jammin to everyday! Maybe one there will be a compilation album of these leaked tracks.
I love this song so much and I wish that it was released on the official Blackout album! 💿 I remember when my parents made a homemade mix CD of the songs from the album and this song was on it! One of my all-time favorites!
Damn was this song about JT? Cuz she said I heard it in the streets you gotta another girl. Yes it did sting but it didn't shatter my world. He was dating Jessica biel in 2007. I wonder if she was singing about JT? Hmmm
@@palomaarbn6687 This is hardly about JT, it has Pharrell voice in it, so probably this is from the Blackout recording sessions. Britney wasn't desperate for attention so she didn't need to be releasing songs about him five years later.
ROD Val ?? So? mmm I know, that Britney has never had a need for attention, I never said that, and if I know that it is for JT it is because I have seen many times people who have concluded that it may be for him I did not invent it , and if it is for him what ? she can make songs for him if she wants, like in glory I also know she did
it's like when you're crashing down off sugar or anything that makes you feel good and then bad.. in this song, both of them are hooked to each other because the sex it's good, but the guy it's already with another girl and that makes him a cheater.
@@mannyjohnson4539I doubt it. The lyrics sounds like it’s about an ex-bf - “said if he’s gonna go, then let him go away” and also the line “I was your freak” with emphasis on *was*. With Kevin, they had a whirlwind romance and got married 2 months later. He wasn’t an ex until when they got divorced 2 years later in late 2006. Also, quite telling that she did this demo with Pharrell, who is mostly Justin’s friend and collaborator. Even ‘Slave 4 U’ and ‘Boys’ were made because Justin asked Pharrell for a favour (to collab with his girlfriend).

Cannot *believe* this wasn't released. This song is fantastic - Summer-Jam worthy, for sure.
Undoubtedly! 😊☺️ Couldn't agree more. ☺️ It could've been another instant timeless Britney classic..

true. I also really like Pharrell.
EXACTLY her music had soul.
God her unreleased tracks are sooooo good.
I’m sad this wasn’t on Blackout it should’ve been on the standard track list and it’s so freaking funky that makes me wanna dance!
Still thinking that this should be at least as B-Side of some single or Bonus Track of Blackout! Can't believe that is an unreleased!
It is on a unreleased B-side that has 21 tracks on it and has demos. I own it and bought it from ebay. By the way... I like your username!
