I never expect that Luis’ death would be this emotional in the remake. I didn’t notice much at Luis in the original game, but he hits hard in the remake
Especially when it made no sense for Saddler to do it in Salazar's castle. Would have been better if Leon got the sample from Luis, then have Saddler force him to trade it for Luis life. Only to kill him anyway.
As cliche as Leon lighting his last cigarette before he died, to be fair, it goes back to when Leon said smoking would kill him when he asked if he had one. But then, when Luis is dying and has trouble lighting it, he helps him; it really shows Leon's character.

Og characters had so much charisma by just simply walking during a cutscene, they showed a lot of character by just moving without talking, they were also much more expressive when they should. For example, Krauser in the original was much more serious and COLD, the new one is beta asf (i know alpha and beta is a ridiculous thing, but the word fits perfectly), he smiles too much, like a forcefully way of trying to look menacing, also talks too much a cartoonish acting, but for other characters that should be more expressive like Leon and Ada, they just look overly bland. I liked that they improved Luis death and importance, but other than that the characters are much worse and much less human like (because of the cartoon-but-serious-wanna-be acting style).

Luis's death in the remake is way better than the original. In the original, it's saddler who kills him, and it's barely emotional. In the remake, KRAUSER kills him, and you can see the emotion in his voice.
Louis' death in the remake is... very well done and much more heartwarming than in the base/original version. maybe because this time Ashley somehow reacts to Louis' death, or maybe because it's not a blow and it's over. the cigarette scene is beautiful.

The remake did such an wonderful job, made Luis more remarkable in both chapters he comes, and his death was so emotional and detailed. Ashley was so sensitive in remake than annoying one in Original, but problem is the gap between salazar and saddler is less in remake compared to original in conversing with Leon. Mike's death cinematic was so good in original, however in remake, Novistadors get more appearances than original.
Pretty make sense for Mike's Death in Remake. Saddler controls Novistadors to attack Mike's Chopper. How could be possible Mike dying easily by RPG while his maneuver in countering AA gun was great

Gotta say the fact he survived his encounter with Leon kinda makes me give a minus point for the OG. I'm so glad the remake fixed that.

The remake, on the other hand, is undoubtedly a copy of the original work, but in terms of the graphics, special effects, screenplay scenes, and many other aspects, they have been very well reworked. However, Ashley really doesn't look like a girl (not to say a woman); we can see that she looks a little more adult on this point, unlike the original where she is childlike and innocent. So here are some qualities and shortcomings from both. For me, there's no comparison because I like both works. I therefore congratulate the CAPCOM team for a great job. It was really worth it. ❤

I felt that Luis's death in the og was more emotional, it was so sudden and brutal that it was almost impossible to believe that such a likable character was killed in such a way. in the remake his death looks more "clean" it wasn't brutal like it was in the remake, and Leon wasn't as emotional.
The way of death is maybe better in OG. But the game never made Luis deep or especially likeable character. In remake they actually made him as character you really want to survive.
Do also try to remember the OG tried to make Leon a typical Hollywood protagonist. The Remake tried to make him realistic. after such a horrible thing he went through in RC its natural for a person to have PTSD. OG Leon was quippy to be "cool". Remake Leon is dealing with trauma with humor thus his quips. If you look at Leon's face in Remake he has what are called "trauma eyes". Smaller, bags under his eyes, tear troughs. He's had it rough. Watch his eyes in Luis' death scene. Leon's eyes speak his emotions in the Remake. He's genuinely sad over Luis' death.
