I beg to differ... there IS interest in how H was allowed to live in the US. He and his wife are in politics! Do we now condone a British prince and his wife to interfere with our politics? The USA has not royalty - it is a Republic, not a monarchy!
How could he have a Diplomat Visa when he left the duties of the Royal family? He is no longer a Diplomat.
In 2020 he was still technically a working royal on his year long sabbatical to decide if he wanted to leave for good so he would have kept his diplomatic priviledges and status. I think this kind of visa is only for five years so if it was how he got in, it’s almost due renewal.
Harry was not nor will ever be a diplomat! Give us a damn break. Bottom line, Americans **will not** be paying any portion of this fool's security costs...not one bloody penny!@!!

The A1 visa is a short term visa. Harry has been in the USA since Jan. 2020. I don't understand why he would be on an A1 visa.
As far as I know , you cannot earn money when on a visiting visa . And he has earnt money from book and netflix . He has never been a diplomat , and working royal ceased when the Queen said No .

PH may have an A1 visa as a result of him being a member of the royal family and the visa cannot be converted to US citizenship. This is described as a “blow” to PH even though there is no evidence that he is seeking US citizenship. I suppose at least they got an immigration specialist on the show to explain about the A1 visa which makes a change from the usual navel gazing from various royal “experts”

I don't think she is correct. Harry does not have any experience or ambassadorial status. He is working and should be paying taxes somewhere. It is unprecedented for someone to claim priviliges in one country whilst not being taxed. I was eligible for US citizenship, but had to apply for a Green Card in order to work and of course, would have had to sign up to the fact that if I did so my primary responsibility was to the US Internal Revenue system.
Seems pretty obvious a UK royal can't be a dual US citizen, unless he/ she gives up his/ her UK citizenship.
And if s/he gives up his/her citizenship, s/he is not a dual citizen! So there!
He can have dual citizenship, but would have to give up his allegiance to the Crown, come out of the line of succession, and lose all titles and privileges associated with the monarchy.
In which case, he would no longer have "DUAL CITIZENSHIP".

His A1 head of state passport should have been removed at Megxeit when he stepped down as a working royal so they can't abuse it, like arranging meetings with public officials and a school in NYC, meetings with high officials at the International UN building in NYC, and a faux royal tour to foreign countries etc. He is a private citizen not a VIP. I’m not a fan of Prince Harry but it always seemed strange that the US was going to publicize anyone’s visa application. It always seemed a breach of privacy. Good job! Although the title is clickbait. Path to citizenship for anyone is an additional application.

The Duke and Duchess have chosen a different life, that’s their right. They’re making a living, financially independent, raising their children and supporting charities that are important.
