Chuck's Arduino Book:

Intro animation by Pablo Licari based on Filament Friday Logo by Brian Carter. - Навчання та стиль
Good way to use your old main board after upgrading to the silent one.
Great introduction to electronics by re-using components that 3D Printing hobbyists are likely to have taking up space in a drawer somewhere!
Keep up the good work! Please don’t entirely rule out 32 -bit boards as they are swapped out for more advanced boards.
Thanks for this Chep. It also be nice to make a tutorial on how we can control our old heatbead using old motherboard of ender3 so we can use it for filament drying.
Thanks Chuck! very useful videos!
Fantastic! Thanks, Chuck!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great idea! Thank you!
Thank you,very interesting
Your voice is soothing like Bob Ross's 😊
And his face is like Sylvester Stallone's.
Thanks CHEP.
Another great video using these old printer boards. Perhaps you could design a simple robot using one.
Time for a video about Klipper firmware.
Hi, nice video i really like the idea and i will make a project like this with my old ender 3 pro board. Just a quick question , i like to use the Z motor and use limit switches on the top and bottom to limit the range, like on a 3d printer. Do you have any idea on how to implemnt this? i'm not that good in programming arduino and similar :(
Hello Chuck. Will this work for a V1.1.4 board?
Yes, but you may have to install bootloader first.
Hello Chuck, What can be made with a 32bit MKS Robin nano v3.0 board? I have a brand new one that was supposed to be installed in a Tevoup Hydra 2 in 1 but I shipped the printer back (actually, the 2nd one I shipped back), got my money back but kept the board. Now it just sits there in the box that it came in. If you can use it, I'll trade you for 1 of your E-Leveler 2. lol
Anyone want to trade that board for a leveler? The board costs a lot more
I have a 32bit creality board collecting dust, any suggestion?
Yes, it can drive several steppers and fans, a display, read switches and thermistors. Already has motion control built in. Use g-codes in a text file to make a robot of your own choosing, eg bbq controller to roast your thanksgiving turkey. Total overkill for the job of controlling the temperature by adjusting the air baffle but might be just the first project.
Everything is allowed when you want to grill to perfection! Any project to link? Starting from marlin or from scratch?
Can it be used to control LED matrix's?
I’m sure it can.
hello sir i am student,i have one mks robin e3 v1.1 i want to use it as normal board to control three stepper on 20X4 lcd displays and with 8 switch i don't know where to start i have work on ardunio till now and i can't seem to find any solution can you nake video or suggest me some thanks
What?! What are you a student of…Literature? You just need to toggle the output for the motors on and off. If you’ve been working with an arduino you would know how this is done. Why is it that you don’t know where to start? You don’t have a difficult problem, work it out!
Why not just use g-codes for this? You already had a (sort of ) operating system for machine controls, just control it using a simple text file on the sd card. This way you can use any printer control board to drive 3 or 4 stepper motors in real units of your choosing (m or inches or rotations etc).
Going this basic Arduino way you should include acceleration and speed maximums or your stepper will miss steps. You have to add up your own distances. All these and many more are already done in the original code (eg marlin or grbl). Using grbl or marlin you can make tools like coil winders, positioners, blind openers, heck, I see no reason you can’t make a washing machine. You have analog outputs (PWM for the fans), analog inputs (thermistor inputs), digital inputs (endstops). You can even use the display, it just plugs in.
Going back to the bare Arduino code is fun and relatively easy but may be very much more unnecessary work.
The idea is to show you can program the board to do anything. Add sensors and components the GCode would have no knowledge how to handle them. Essentially demonstrating you can write your own control system.
I have the V1.1.4 Version. Will it work with this version too?
Yes. But CCW and CW might be reversed.
Thank you chep !
Can’t see spending $35 for an 8-bit board though.
For most hobbyist projects, Raspberry Pi and many 32-bit boards are overkill. If you can find a used one on eBay or even an old broken 3D printer, what I’m showing can breath new life into a pile of junk.
chep can you link a stl for that chep cube extruder konob that was spinning on the stepper i googled and none was found by me
It’s just a regular CHEP Cube taped to the top of the stepper. thangs.com/file/21739
