My favourite Milton Jones joke is probably "My grandfather was very ill so we put loads of butter on his back, after that he went downhill very quickly." 🤣🤣
He's one of those guys with a straight face in the pub who comes out with a one liner and there's a 3 or 4 second delay before you spit your beer out when you realize what he said.
"Pearl and Dean" are a famous cinema advertising agency founded in 1953. People of a certain age will instantly recognise their classic theme tune. "Pearl and Dean Classics" are available on UA-cam.
Milton is great. He's very good on Mock the week, he has some of the funniest lines on the scenes we like to see section. His Abba's greatest hits joke is well worth seeking out!
@@mrwomby5007 Have you seen the video about the most offensive jokes? I'm sure the lads don't give a stuff about that, They have a great sense of (British) humour, Don't always get the British references but if its crude, offensive and funny they love it and that's why i love watching their reactions.
I've seen Milton live a few times. You start off chuckling then, over the evening, it just builds and builds with a torrent of silly jokes and added variations on previous jokes. By the end you can't stop laughing. Great stuff!
Milton Jones is the king of one liners been a fan of his for quite a few years now I love your reactions it is nice to see how you both get our comedy so well! I'd love to see you both react to more of Milton Jones without a doubt! Sending my best wishes to you both! :)
"Pearl & Dean presents.... Pa-pa, pa-pa, pahhhh… pah !" I can already smell the popcorn, hear the ads for 'Kio-ora' and the local Indian restaurant just around the corner... Happy days - LOL 😁 👍 🇬🇧
You can see more and more that you are getting our humour, I've watched many of your videos, all great by the way, but as you move along, there's noticeably less ??? faces you pull and more throwing yourselves back on your chairs in a giggle fit! :D Keep it up, another year, and our Liz will have to Knight the pair of you! ;) hehehe
Congrats on 67k subscribers ETS. Pearl & Dean are cinema advertisers here and they have that distinctive music before ads/trailers etc. On the whole math/maths debate all I'll say is: mathematic/mathematics... 😉
Hes always been one of my favourites. Even though you know what you're going to get from, you sort of dont know what you're going to get from him. In his younger days he had this more unhinged look and way about him. It was great. Guys the more I watch your reactions the more I can se you're both top fellas and you both crack me up. Nice to see you enjoying us brits and out comedy
There were 3 distinct subjects when I was at school, Maths Arithmetic and Geometry. Mathematics is the full word so in the UK with the s on the end we struggle to shorten that to math, it has to be maths. Adding, minus, dividing and multiplying is known as arithmetic here whereas maths is more like algebra equations. Geometry was the mathematical relationship to shapes.
Don't know if he still does it, but Milton used to open any Saturday night sets with "So, it's Mother's Day tomorrow..." regardless of what time of year it was just because he liked to watch everyone briefly panic.
Milton has such a sharp comedic wit. You should check out his 'scenes we'd like to see' compilation from Mock the Week where he has been a regular. Milton's comedy can be so clever. Also, surely 'maths' (which is the correct form) is short for mathematics.
There's a great Simon Whistler (Inforgraphics/Today I Found Out/Megaprojects etc.) vid all about the "math/maths" thing, educated the fuck out of me...
My favourite comedian - and not a single swear word ever comes from this guy's mouth which for me is extremely rare in a comedian and is a big plus as far as I'm concerned!
Iv never really checked Milton out, hes appeared on would i lie to you and mock the week a good few times and i always got a good chuckle out of him on those. This was cool to see a bit of stand up from him
Milton is so funny. But l like the fact there's not one swear word said. So s really good family entertainer. Don't get me wrong guys, I still like listening to Micky Flannagen and co. Hope you keep in reacting. It's a joy to watch people genuinely enjoying themselves. 👍👍
Liverpool is on the Mersey (river). Math(s) comes from matematica (latin) but nobody knows if it is feminine singular or neuter plural, so take your pick.

Yes, the classic (tenuous) stories of teachers telling pupils, “You have to learn maths, you’ve never going to have a calculator with you all the time”. Edit: though I do remember being envious of people with calculator watches at that time.
He is so funny, well worth checking out more of his stand-up. As another suggestion try Jeremy Clarkson’s look at one of Britains Greatest Automotive shame, from Top Gear the “Reliant Robin”, AKA “The Plastic Pig”! A vehicle from the 70’s, so named as it was Pig ugly and made of Plastic, ( Glass Reinforced Plastic, GRP). A car with 3 wheels made of plastic, with an engine stolen from a lawn mower. Top speed 60mph, 65 mph down hill with a following wind! 0-60mph about 3 days. With all the passenger protection of a child’s lunch box! 🫣. A must watch for ALL Automotive fans. 👍
Can I recommend you check out a little known British Comic called Chris McCausland, specifically his 2018 Live at the Apollo skit. He's registered blind, which brings a different perspective in to his comedy. I find him hilarious & more people should discover him (although he's started to make more appearances on panel shows these days). Love the reactions, keep them coming!
I'm not a big one for comments as I tend to watch on a TV app. However definitely try Gary Delaney for a ruder Milton. I nearly wet myself seeing him Live.
For the math(s) conversation - both are abbreviations for mathematics - which is considered a plural noun, which baffled me as to why the US use math, but we know what you mean, and languages evolve.

Brilliant, and he has tons of stuff like that!! Saw him live.... an amazing 2 hour show!! Please react to more Milton Jones!!
I love Milton jones so much his level of silliness is only matched by James Acaster and his epic cabbage battle with a small child.
