You keep saying that the first job of any CPAP machine should be to maintain good oxygen saturation during sleep.The feature to monitor this would be a recordable oximeter incorporated into the machine. Why are they missing the one function we should all be interested in. O2 readings through the night.
I don't have the answer to that question unfortunately but it's a golden opportunity for one company to set a new industry standard.
I have a ResMed AirSense 11 using the heated Climate Air tubing. Was a P10 user for years, and sometimes my nostril openings would get a little sore. My mask leak was higher than I liked. I never seemed to be able to get it the leak rate lower no matter how much I adjusted the straps. Saw a video about the F&P Brevida and decided to give it a try. Wow! Game changer!! The pillow mask fits way more comfortably in my small nose openings than the P10! The Brevida pillow mask material is softer, yet snug. No nostril soreness at all. Leak rate is mostly nonexistent now. The only thing I don't like is the swivel section of the tubing where the filter is. If the filter is straight up, the mask fits better around my nose. When the filter section rotates sideways or downward, the mask position changes a little and hangs lower over my upper lip. I prefer the straight up filter with no swivel. Seems like the Solo mask has a nonrotating filter which might work better for me.
Versus P30i ?
The resmed P30 is terrible for me, I have a long nose, and no matter what, that hard plastic piece drove in to my nose. I wish it was 100% silicone or soft at least.
Hey buddy, it can be a challenge that's for sure. It must be very difficult designing masks that fit a wide variety of noses.
When will it be available in the US?

Hi, Nick - American here. I'm having issues with marks on my nose with all of the masks I use. I've tried ResMed nasal cushions but I still get red marks on my nose. I had rhinoplasty in my teens to reshape my nostrils, so nasal pillows irritate that area, so that's why I skip the pillows. The F&P Brevida also leaves marks. Any thoughts?
Can anyone compare the Solo with the Brevida? I went from the P10 to Brevida, and the fit and texture of the pillows are too satisfying to go back. But I am tempted by the fitting mechanism of the Solo. As always, big thanks to Nick!!!
I use the p10. I didn't even bother last night. I slept raw. Can you use yhe brevida with airsense 11 with heated tube?
@@techshabby0001 Probably? I used both with the dreamstation (heated hose), and now I use the F&P machine, which has a heated hose. I find the Brevida is a softer material. Best of luck 👍

Trying desperately to find a mask i go to sleep with. 10 so far, no luck sleeping more than 1/2 hour in 5 weeks.....
F&P seem the most comfortable to me in the limited use of theirs (2 of them). Really don't care for ResMed's headgear, more intrusive and triggers my claustrophobic response more. Every face is different I think.

I bought mine mid-late October….the first week of the pre-release…
It did take a few weeks to properly get the hang of it…because it IS different…but I’m very happy with it and well worth the money.
I have the type that has pillows that fit into the nares
It’s comfortable, noise is very low…I fact I don’t hear it and as I don’t have a partner, I don’t have anyone to complain about it
It stays in place all night
Leaks “normal” I have only had “High” leaks a few times, and that was in the early days when I was still getting used to fitting it properly.
With the P10, my leaks registered as high almost every night for years and was always tired and sleepy next day….with the SOLO, that issue is gone….
Would I recommend it? …absolutely….
Give it decent length trial….don’t abandon in the first week.
Hey Connie, thanks for sharing your feedback. Great to hear it's working well for you and yes i agree with you. You need to give it a little bit of time and perhaps some of the survey participants were too quick to judge
I just tried this mask and couldn't get 2 hours into the night before I ripped it off. Absolutely horrible for me. I am in the US and can only get the Cradle and it was quite loud, but that wasn't the issue. The headgear just didn't fit my face at all - it went above my cheeks and into my eyes where the straps touched my eyelashes. The moment I turned on my side, the mask leaked like crazy.
Same here. I tried it for 2 weeks and just horrible leaks throughout the night. I love how minimalist it is and felt really good on my head (coming from DreamWear Full Face Mask and then to DreamWear Nasal Mask.) I tried to Solo Medium which seemed to be the closest fit. The small just didn't let enough air in and the large was...well too large. Would really love to try the Nasal Pillows but like you, can't get them in the U.S.
I love my F&P Brevida nasal pillow mask, so quiet and easy to clean. Am looking forward to trying this mask when it's available in Canada.
I use the n30, its great, but sometimes feel like that if the hose gets a little bent coming out of the hard mask bit, it kinda limits the air flow. I prefer the cushion to the pillows though, and if another mask fixed this problem, id be straight onto it.
Some clever designing here but same old problem: does nothing for mouth leaks. I wonder if some CPAP supplier will design a nasal mask with a separate mouth cover that, unlike chin straps and mouth tape, don't misshape your head nor prove next to impossible to remove should you need to cough (mouth cover could have pressure relief accommodating a cough or gag while keeping air from escaping).
Make sure you you can breathe fully through your nose, ears nose throat doctor to check. Game changer 🙌
Try adjusting the humidity. I have bad sinus issues and have had 2 sinus surgeries. Sleep tech who did the cpap study on me adjusted the humidity up and I ended up not opening my mouth and breathing through my nose. Sometimes, when my allergies are bad or I get a bad cold, I have to switch to either a full face or hybrid mask

We need our sleep but unfortunately it isn’t happening for me
I have the Evora. I can't use it on my side as the pillow Will push the headgear which will push and break the seal giving a lot of leaks.
This only seems to deal with eliminating velcro straps
Does the design help with side sleeping where the face is pressed to the bed pillow? It also seems that one issue could be that if you accidentally move it in your sleep, it's going to lock in the new position and therefore could start leaking. At least with the velcro you're in a locked position.
I've been interested in using the version with nasal pillows as that's the one design I haven't used. Currently. I'm trying bleep but the tape eventually starts to leak on one side. I've gotten leaks down but don't know if it would ever hold 7 -8 hours on my skin.
The evora cushion does seem to also push against my nose in a way that irritates it at the bony parts.
The new solo mask is also very expensive. At first I thought this mask ticked all the boxes but I've definitely changed my mind. One of the things that really bothers me about this mask is that the pillow version and nasal version have to be purchased separately. Both inserts should be included in one package so users don't have to buy two masks in the event that one of the inserts is uncomfortable. In fact, I will never buy this mask unless both types of inserts are included or the cost of the mask is reduced by 50%.
Do videos on ear nose and throat Doctor to make sure people can breath through their nose a 100% game changer
