How long do they last for when you don’t work or anything like that and you just wear them for fashion
Thank you for the review! I live up north where it's raining a lot. Would you recommend them for scooter driving? I touch the ground pretty often and I'm worried about the rubber wearing off fast.
Hummmm You know that's a very good question. I think for scooter driving it would be perfect. The amount of rubber is about an inch and a half thick. Although I should say, like I said in the video, the waterproofing only goes up about 3 in. So when you've got rain hitting you from all over you might want some extra long thick pants, motorcycle riding pants. Depending on how wet it gets you might want some extra tall timberland boots which I know they make I'm just not so informed about them.
@@SeniorWhoopyIRL Thanks for the quick reply man, would you also recommend sizing up or down? From what I've heard they come big.
I wear an 11 US in most shoes like Adidas and Nikes running shoes. But when it comes to skate shoes which need to be a little tighter I can fit into a 10.5.
I got these boots in a size 11 and they actually fit perfectly true to size. So I would say stick to your size. timberland does offer a fantastic return program if you need to try on a pair and then return them, it shouldn't be a problem at all.
And yeah I'm kind of stuck awake watching this craziness of the US Trump fiasco unfold. It's like watching a train wreck, but it never ends. And honestly I'm way more happy to be talking about shoes than politics.
@@SeniorWhoopyIRL Hah thanks for the help man! Crazy times we live in, hopefully this madness will end soon, so stay safe!
I thought about getting the Premium but the Pro soft toe Timberlands seem to be more sturdy and better built also the Black leather looks more sleek, just the soles are thicker could work as casual boots you think ?
The steel toe after many wears is barely noticeable so I would definitely recommend that because safety over everything. Other than that unless you don't use them for hard work the leather will become distressed over time taking scuffs and cuts. For just walking around the streets of New York I'd say you could still enjoy a steel toe pro for your casual wear. If anything it'll make your legs stronger because they are heavier. I don't have any timberlands that are not pro to compare to so I wouldn't know whether one would be more durable than the other. I know I'm going on two years of wearing these and they're still great. They're on my feet right now lol
@@SeniorWhoopyIRL I have them too, & the wheat pro pair as well, nice boots
The PRO version is a LOT better!!!! I tried the yellow ones and ill never come back to Premium, unless there is a color i really want.
@salomonkane8359 good choice! I’m a little overdue on my three year update but they are still kicking strong
Black ice can seriously injure you because you can’t see it and even studded winter boots are of no help. You can’t gain any traction on it and I’m sure its not your footwear. Any other surface, you can confidently walk on.
So true, I do wonder what happened to those sci-fi, looking ice shoes that could walk up 45° sheets of ice. They were viral a few years ago and I haven’t seen anything else come out about them since. We could really use that technology this time of year.
@@SeniorWhoopyIRL There are Ice Bugs from Sweden. A cheaper alternative is to take a spare pair of winter boots and use hex screws from the local hardware store and put them in the sole of each boot. When they wear down, extract and replace them.
idk those look extra hardd worn in, thats worth jt for me, thx for the review 1st and second part
Visible tread over the entire surface? That looks like there was very little walking during that year.
You right, I did more miles driving too and from dangerous locations. So in my case the upper took more damage than the tread. Just don’t drag your feet and you’ll be good.
Have you tried the premium timbs if so how do they compare to these for work boots
I have not tried the premium timberlands. Just based off a quick Google search are they just more expensive, or do they come with more features like comfort and other things?
My boots were pretty good, best boots I’ve ever owned I don’t really know what would make them better other than more powerful insole, I replaced mine after a year.
Honestly these premium ones look like more hype than function. May be more authentic leathers on the upper but if you’re going to use it for work it’s going to get beat up.
I hope this helps. Definitely get yourself some Tim’s but spending $200 on Tim’s is kind of ridiculous. Get them discounts.
Yours look like THAT after a year of hard usage? Buddy... I work at a landfill. I run cover, roll offs, compactor, debris filtering/inspection, and a few other things on a daily. I’ve had mine for two months and they look like they were attacked by hungry hyenas. 😂 i have to buy new boots every 4-6 months but unfortunately there are only a couple boots that meet the requirements our company has for footwear certs.
Sounds like your job would tear up any boot but, may I ask what kind of boots were you wearing? Were they these?
Are those the 8” ones or 6”
Those right there are the 6inch the 8 inch are quite taller than the 6inch but the 6inch are just better in my opinion I've owned so many pairs of timbs and never have I been disappointed with em
Had 4 or 5 pairs of the 6 inch premiums they last for years but I recommend if yer in the market buy a pair of the butters or the blacks for everyday wear and another pair for special occasions I own 2 blacks and 2 butters very very impressed with them and are way worth the price especially for this amount of quality
you do not work in them no way ?
The pro models are the only ones they advertise as actual work boots. Regular and premium timberlands are fashion boots.
@Senior Whoopy IRL You misunderstood. Jesse was questioning you actually working in them because regular timberlands won't hold up to any real work. So I was pointing out that the pro models are indeed built for work. Nobody said anything about wearing steel toes for fashion.
Ah, I see. I get where you’re coming from now and yeah I guess we’re both on the same page nobody uses those for fashion.
Im your typical construction guy who works 8 to 10 hours labor, they last me 8 month's basically destroyed them but i put them through good abuse
@SeniorWhoopyIRL suede, the bottem came attached before anything else, if it wasn't for the bottom part falling off I could of still used the boots
@@ImThatGuyGoddi oh damn. I’ve got the leather and it’s starting to separate but I probably done 50% of the damage to my boots. That’s gotta be the weakest part of the shoe, the attachment for the upper and the soul. Sorry for your loss. What did you move onto?
Take a sneef 😂
I do it with everything! Smell is one of my strongest senses. I’m glad you got a kick out of I said that😂🤙
A year of hard usage doesn't consist of going to the supermarket. If I wore those for a year they'd be trash
ဘယ်မှာ ဝယ်ရမလဲခင်ဗျာ.
Timberland ဝက်ဘ်ဆိုက်။ သူတို့ကအချို့သောနိုင်ငံတကာနိုင်ငံများသို့တင်ပို့
Hopefully this answers your question. I bought mine on timberland.com. The United States also has timberland outlet stores. That's all that I know for sure of. They do ship to some international countries.
Curious on the fit is it true to size or do you recommend going a size bigger or smaller because my size for regular shoes are 9.5
I would say go true to size. You want these to fit just right when you're working. Timberland hazard a good return program. So you're in good hands. Just make sure you get a good deal because these can be very expensive. Timberland also has outlet locations in certain cities. Maybe one is near by you.
I wear a 9.5 in regular shoes. I always wear a 9 in boots.
When you say regular shoes do you mean Nike or Adidas?
@Senior Whoopy IRL yes. Nike addidas jordans I wear 9.5. But any kind of boots like timberland, polo or sketchers i wear 9
There’s a possibility you could be right in between a 9 1/2 and nine. I’m mostly size 11 and now in my 30s everything size 11 fits me whereas I used to wear vans at a 10 1/2 but now those barely fit. I like a boot to be the right size for me to put on thick socks just in case of cold weather
