Aty: A little boy otter who came to our house at the age of 9 months.
At first he couldn't even swim in the river, but now he loves the river more than anything else and swims in it all year round.
Whenever we go out, he always walks ahead of everyone, so he has come to be called “Captain Aty”.
Ui: A tomboy with comical movements.
Because of her ferocious nature, she had to go from one owner to another.
At first, she was so ferocious that Aty was too frightened to even touch her.
But Ui opened up to us and now she and Aty make out every day.
Aty and Ui have been issued a certificate of registration as an internationally rare wild animal and plant species.
Although Ui may appear calm today, she used to be so ferocious that people could not approach her.
After more than a year of being bitten, she finally came to live with us.
Otters are very intelligent and watch the people around them very carefully.
They will never open their hearts to you if you only have a superficial relationship with them.
They are also very active animals and require several hours of exercise per day.
They need to be walked outside or swam in the river for two to three hours every day.
The amount of exercise they get inside the house will never be enough to satisfy their needs.
Please do your research on otters before you think that “I want to keep one."
You need to think carefully about whether you can face them with your life.

Sea lions, and otters are all very similar, just different sizes. Maybe they look like friends to Aty and Ui.

🍃 Aty is always so friendly with other animals no fear just a friendly hello and Lady Ui-chan is right by his side getting in on the action. That one Sea Lion made an amazing jump to see our two fur-babies it was impressive. The aquarium facility sure needed some TLC though it looks like its pretty run down. ❤🍃
Otters and sea lions are both predators (plus sometimes prey), but otters seem to be more intelligent. Captain Aty's ability to remember anywhere he's been even if it's been a year or more is impressive, and he's not the only otter we've seen do it. Ui's mortal enemy Odashi has been shown to remember people she hasn't seen in months. Not sure about Ui's memory… she's a very living-in-the-moment kind of girl 😅 But that is one of her charms 🥰

This is why I love dogs, they have more variety than Feliforms. So weird that seals/sea lions (also known as earless seals), weasels/otters are all related to dogs. Mind you on the Bear side of the Infra Order.
Yep. Otters (like Mustelids in general) are Caniformes. Small-Clawed Otters like Aty have needs that are a mix of cat + dog + human toddler -- strict carnivores like cats (dogs are carnivores but not hyper-carnivores); similar ocular biology to dogs; Aty's species especially, like the related Smooth-Coated Otter, have dog-like social structure (most otter species don't)… and they need CONSTANT ATTENTION & MENTAL STIMULATION OR THEY GO CRAZY. 😅

Elles sont impressionnantes et aboyent comme des chiens😄. Je préfère les petites loutres Ui et Aty, elles sont tellement belles, migonnes, gentilles, on peut les prendre dans les bras, ce sont deux amours. @@AsYouuuWiiish .., I agree with you. I used to volunteer at the Zoo, here in Knoxville Tennessee USA. The Marine exhibit looked better than the one in the video. I used to go in the cooler and weigh the food for the Sea lions and Seals. Then, in the afternoon I fed them.
I completely agree I was absolutely disgusted and appalled at their conditions it was way too small full of mold and it was absolutely filthy and run down I'm completely shocked it's very cruel something seriously needs to be done to help those poor sea lions

I totally agree that aquarium is a disgrace for those poor sea lions and penguins, but if you take OP's comment plus your assertion to its logical conclusion, it applies to Aty & Ui too. But then Otterman isn't a sh!t aquarium.
