@@patsanoob Actually while looking into it I discovered that Voidness is a near total clone of Scanner Sombre... I mean how they didn't get sued for copyright infringement is beyond me... Probably because they're both small indie studios who don't have legal departments.
I wasn't aware of that, but I don't believe that is the only reason, I think it might be due to the fact that you can't really "own" a gameplay mechanic. For example, Battle bit Remastered is almost identical in mechanics to classic Battlefield, but I don't believe they have been in any legal trouble. (Note: I am not an expert in legal matters at all xD)
@@patsanoob It really depends on how much money you have to throw around, you can throw out a Cease & Desist and so long as the recipient can't afford to fight it, you win. Even if you don't have a case. I mean that's kinda Nintendo's bag. And Bethesda, come to think of it. There was a total not-for-profit Doom demake where they were basically taking the 2016 Doom and demaking it in GZDoom with sprites, etc. Even though it was a labor of love and they weren't charging a dime, Bethesda basically destroyed them. Just because they can.
Do you think it is possible to create a tutorials video about the building system by enshrouded or even better, this voxel based world like in this game, because this is really interesting, and I think you would be the only person on youtube who could create such a cool thing, thanks for your tutorials by the way :)
So it’s not a pre-existing system in UE5. It’s just based on the look of the mechanic it scans the environment like a Lidar would. I will be making a tutorial if you want to know more.
This would be outstanding in VR, since the stereoscopic vision would be extra useful.
I never actually thought about it being VR, but it would be insane, you're right!

I'm glad you think of me that way! I have the enshrouded building system in my list.
@@patsanoob thank you very much and yes it is because of your amazing Systems, like this one, this is such a cool thing!
How does Lidar working in UE5?
