I have a Sirui tripod with ballhead and a monopod. I think the quality is outstanding at very reasonable prices.

This is on my list, already have a smaller tripod and a monopod, both from Sirui and funnily enough I also have glass from them, a Nightwalker 35mm cine lens. All their gear has worked really well for me, zero complaints. And they have been less expensive than competing equivalents I've seen, by quite some margin.

I despise twist locks! I really, really, really don’t like them. I love my Flowtech75 with the Aktiv8. Only issue is that I have to break out one of my Manfrotto sets if I want to get higher than the limits of the Flowtech. Super fast to get the spreaders in and it has the handle too, which I haven’t ever used. The Flowtech gets low too. And I LOVE the shape of the Flowtech legs for folding up and carrying on my shoulder with the camera still on the head.
The price is amazing! But that is the only benefit to this compared to the Flowtech with the Aktiv8, as far as I can see. And when you’re buying gear that will far outlast many cameras and be with you for possibly decades, why cut any corners? Buy the best even if expensive.
    Thanks!!!

This doesn't seem to be cutting any corners, your only beef with it is not liking twist locks which is a matter of taste. They have upsides, you can't snag anything on a twist lock, you definitely can on the flappy handle things. For me there is also that I have only positive experiences with Sirui, Sachtler on the other hand not so much, seen plenty of bad stuff from them. Not entirely fair since the Sirui gear is stuff I own and bought new, the Sachtler stuff has been rental stuff and things people were selling that I ended up not buying because it was junk. I'd say if you have no experience with Sirui you're being a self justifying dork, just loudly claiming that since you dropped a bunch of cash on a competing product it has to be better.

@@noth606 Not sure why you felt you needed to take the tone you did. I never once suggested that because I spent a lot of cash on the competition that this therefore better. Where did you even come up with that? I clearly stated my personal thoughts. And you clearly overlooked the fact that the Flowtech doesn’t have latches along the leg so they are smooth throughout with no chance of catching on anything.

Pronounced sue-ray. And yes, the SVH15 video head is compatible with DJI RS2 / RS3 / RS3 Pro quick release plates. Is the Sachtler compatible with DJI plates?

Is the feet stay in place or move around very easily?
