I got this for my birthday.. It feels small coz Ive been using a big Gshock GA200SH watch for like 7 years now. I dont know if I should do the brushed metal thing. It'll surely sctrach though. Maybe I'll order a metal strap when its available. I dont know how to change the straps. I like the watch but it'll take some time for me to get used to it. I'm a 6'2 ft tall skinny guy.. this watch looks good on my wrist.
As a person who is not a fan of blingy-ness. I would be tempted to brush that high polish side as well. I would do some research on the technique/tool needed for hand applied satin finishing, rather than scotch brite. Good luck, I look forward to the final result
Scotch Brite is a technique used to create brushed finishing by some on their Vostok Amphibia watches 😊. There are several "tutorials” on UA-cam. I normally use Scotch Brite to removed the appearance on brushed watch clasp. That's what tempted me to use a Scotch Brite 😅
Relatively small G-Shock. Does it come with a positive display? Fraid negative display are bit hard on the eyes for me. The polish shine looks ok to me. If you like to have a more matt finish, you could try popping over to a car paint shop and see if they are willing to sand blast the watch for you on low pressure. You have to tape up the glass dial first but it should work. However, I have to say that I've never personally tried this method before.

Like it but would look better brushed. Try a fine emery paper and a straight edge.

buy a small polisher from ebay,you usally get scotch wheels with them.there nearly always yellow,i have had one for years.good value
Thanks for the suggestion but i want to create a vertically bushed finishing. I guess using a polisher would create circularly brushed finishing.

Can i replace the straps ?
Yes if you can find a strap the fits the lug width and flares out to match the case width.

I have one. love the size. just hate the long strap. if there was a shorter aftermarket piece would love ot get one.

There are some some variants with positive display but they come in lighter coloured bands and some with gold bezel.
@@GFWatch does the regular dw5600 fit on your wrist perfectly too?
@@alyx_4114 The regular DW-5600 is on the bigger side. The G-5600E that is a tad smaller than the regular DW-5600 wears better on my wrist.
