  • Let's see how we can take a flat vector shape layer in Photoshop and create a rendered 3D object in today’s Abstract 3D Shapes tutorial.
Sounds pretty cool right? Check out Martin's process and explore the possibilities of 3D shapes in Photoshop CC 2018, including how to add shine and reflection to your object.
We are seeing loads of 3D shapes cropping up in illustrative projects this year and the trend looks like it is here to stay!

Hello. This is great. Unfortunately, I don't appear to have colour fill options in my 3d Window and when I hit diffuse, it won't allow me to pick a color? Any ideas on how to overcome this? Many thanks!

Bandar AL-Attas you can do simple Extrude and Revolve in Ai but not complex distortions like these. Also the rendering in Photoshop is much more advanced. Of course Ps is still far from the things you can achieve in a dedicated 3D modelling application like Cinema 4D.
