- A short film which premiered at The Little Cinema in the Roisin Dubh, Galway on the 22nd November 2021.
The short is centred around my curiosity of all the different people who use and love the prom, this somehow naturally turned into a poem which you can find below.
This was filmed entirely on an iPhone SE2 in November 2021 and edited with iMovie.

The Prom
What do you think about when you walk the prom?
Or do you think of nothing and just kick the wall
Do you think I should really take up running but it’s bad for my back, or fair play to the swimmers I couldn’t do that
Are you consumed with work or hiding your grief, are you walking off the stress of a busy week
The dogs, the divers, the joggers, new mams. The singles and couples and oh there’s the lads
Do you take unnecessary journeys or risk treacherous roads, are you thinking about what to eat when you get home
Does it help you to see the wood from the trees, to calm your mind and find some peace
Or is it simply a path between the sea and the road, somewhere to walk, somewhere to go
Were you lucky to spend your 2k days there, with the rain in you face and the wind in your hair
Does it make you think about the places you’ve been, all the good that you’ve done or all of your sins
Do you remember the time the car crashed down off that path, or the girls who went missing who were found at last
Do you walk, do you run, do you cycle or swim, would you rather just sit on the beach with a gin
Do you throw your head back way into the sea, because I hear that’s good for you cold water therapy
Do you stroll with a coffee, or talk to a friend, did you hear about your man over in the westend?
Whatever your reason, we are one of the same. Thinking of nothing or trying to stay sane
So think of the ones that have been and gone, for them for us let’s go walk the prom

I spent a cozy two weeks in rainy Galway, and don't regret one minute of it. Already booked time for the summer again.

You have captured my dad in his wheelchair on the prom, he loved sitting at Blackrock looking out. He recently passed away so this is very special to us, thank you.
