Melody, I don't know who you are, obviously, but I know exactly what you're going through. My father is not American, he is a very old and old-fashioned Eastern European person and thus, was very abusive to my family and I, both physically and emotionally, growing up. But I can't blame him--that is what he was taught and where he came from--I am the beautiful person I believe I am because of how he raised me and what that experience has made me. I am older now and looking for my way, but am poor and have no support structure at all after graduating from college (owe A LOT of money now). I don't know where to turn and can't go back home to him and my mom because like you, it would be imprisoning myself, even though they've offered and it'd be "easier", but I could lose my only home soon. But just like you I feel I need to follow my Path and that it is somewhere else. I've been hoping and praying for years and months (during different spiritual evolutions) and am in a sense or get the feeling, that I can manifest or we should be able to, whatever I/we need. It hasn't and isn't happening. . . I keep waiting, but maybe the Universe is telling us we need to learn something else before we can go or be set free. Maybe WE need to realize something else that we don't about Our Path that people like us usually don't or have a hard time doing? Melody, I don't know who you are, obviously, but I know exactly what you're going through. My father is not American, he is a very old and old-fashioned Eastern European person and thus, was very abusive to my family and I, both physically and emotionally, growing up. But I can't blame him--that is what he was taught and where he came from--I am the beautiful person I believe I am because of how he raised me and what that experience has made me. I am older now and looking for my way, but am poor and have no support structure at all after graduating from college (owe A LOT of money now). I don't know where to turn and can't go back home to him and my mom because like you, it would be imprisoning myself, even though they've offered and it'd be "easier", but I could lose my only home soon. But just like you I feel I need to follow my Path and that it is somewhere else. I've been hoping and praying for years and months (during different spiritual evolutions) and am in a sense or get the feeling, that I can manifest or we should be able to, whatever I/we need. It hasn't and isn't happening. . . I keep waiting, but maybe the Universe is telling us we need to learn something else before we can go or be set free. Maybe WE need to realize something else that we don't about Our Path that people like us usually don't or have a hard time doing? I don't know if my comment worked or not but... I chose 2B. Very true with my life. Amazing. 1 thing that is very true also is the depression. The depression is because I quite simply get to see so many people around me who have these relationships where they get to share their life with someone else and I almost get the feeling of "I get all these great things that help so many people & I'm grateful for that, but when do I get the chance to be in love & to know the love of another or am I just a joke"?
