Why Jesus raised a boy from the dead?

I think as we unpack this story about Jesus and his interactions with the widow of Nain and her son, you will see something about Jesus that will make you love him even more!
Scripture - Luke 7:11-17
11 Afterward he was on his way to a town called Nain. His disciples and a large crowd were traveling with him. 12 Just as he neared the gate of the town, a dead man was being carried out. He was his mother’s only son, and she was a widow. A large crowd from the town was also with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said, “Don’t weep.” 14 Then he came up and touched the open coffin, and the pallbearers stopped. And he said, “Young man, I tell you, get up!”
15 The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. 16 Then fear came over everyone, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen among us,” and “God has visited his people.” 17 This report about him went throughout Judea and all the vicinity.

What does it mean to me that God is compassionate? He has helped me through mental illness, through failure and sin, through temptation. He has helped me be there for others and has answered not just my Prayers and fulfilled my needs, but those of the people around me too. He has shown me a new way of life that can bring me and others pure Joy. He loves not only ME, even when I don't love myself, but EVERYONE. The peak of all this compassion was dying on the cross to forgive our sins. Thats what God's compassion means to me!!!!

I'm naive and understand scripture incorrectly a lot and its great that you guys also show us ways we can apply what we've learned to our lives. I'm loving the editing style of the past 2 videos! It would mean everything to me to know that God feels the same compassion He felt for this woman for me also. Sometimes I feel someone else is worthy of that compassion but not me. But when I look to the cross, I can see that God had compassion on all of us. He does not want anyone to perish but that through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus we might have eternal life. Praise God for His great compassion!
Please pray for me. I keep fasting and praying still no break through. I feel like a failure. I lost my job for declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions (Lupus) and (heart disease) I’ve been struggling to pay bills and keep food on the table since. I’m so ashamed of my situation. I’ve been mocked and laughed at because of my circumstances. It hasn’t been easy especially as a single mother with two autistic sons both are non verbal. My husband passed away years ago. I’m all alone. I’m sick of struggling and feeling like a burden. I’m sick of crying out asking for help. My cries go on deaf ears. I want to give up on life. But my faith in God is too strong. I still have faith God will change my living situation. Even though I’m facing homelessness this month with two young children. I will continue to keep FAITH. FAITH OVER FEAR!
Father God I lift this sister to you you love her and want to help her, I pray that you keep her and her children safe ,I speak Jesus in her life ,bless her breakthrough in her life is coming in Jesus name, all the Glory honor and praise belongs to you Father in Jesus name I prayer Hallelujah and Amen.

Based of god’s compassion ,I relay on him , trust him knowing that he won’t let me down because I put my trust on him and not on the princes of the earth as the psalm says.I know he will treat me with respect and restore my dignity if I confessed my sins same like the sinning woman. He will fill my life with joy and fulfill all my needs like the Samaritan woman who was looking for love from 5 different partners but stopped looking after she found Jesus who gave her the living water to not to thirst anymore for anything earthly .Jesus compassion will open the bridal chamber so that my soul will partake in the heavenly mysteries to unit with its bridegroom Jesus . Love is stronger than fire . His love saved , saves and will save me and everyone who accepted Jesus and took refuge in the power of his blood.

What about San Filippo Neri, who was reported to had risen a boy from the dead? Was he also the "exact expression" of the Divine Force, as you suggested was the case with the Teacher in the verse you quoted? Can you attribute the "miracle" described in the aforementioned verse to the Disciples who were there and the Teacher collectively, as well as to the forces and entities unseen? 😊
Hebrews tells us that Jesus is the exact expression of God. So seeing Jesus is seeing God. When Jesus left he sent his Spirit to enable people to perform miracles and do his work. Those people may act in the power of God but they are not God and will not exactly represent God. Jesus, however, does exactly represent God.
@@BranchTogether Thank you. This would appear to be an ecclesiastical interpretation and stance. But, if we were to meet these beings today, how might we tell them apart? What would be their distinguishing characteristics? How might you be able to tell apart a "person enabled by the Spirit" from Jesus who has returned, today? 😊
He doesnt always heal btw. Ive been healed many times, so im not short of faith but He will not heal me from my disability. He revealed to me why, its a good reasoning and im not sharing it, its private. I noticed too, HE RARELY heals cancer. Ive seen many Christians die of cancer, i always wondered why He doesnt heal cancer as a norm.
I can't say that I know anything about the Lord of the Universe.
Pleasure to meet you Mark. In my experience, God responds and reveals himself to those who seek him. I'll take some time today to pray for you in your search. We're always here if we can help with anything.
But, HE knows you, Mark! One of my days as a wondering unbeliever, I said (I guess it was a prayer), "God, if you're real, make yourself real to me." And HE did. It was something supernatural and very personal and amazing. I have never doubted God's existence since, even though I still have so many questions and lack understanding of so many things. The Bible says that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us (James 4:8). Imagine that! The Lord of the Universe will reach out to you as you reach out to Him. Keep reaching out Mark!
I've been working my way through all of your videos, and I hate to say it, but this was one of my least favorite. I would be perfectly happy without the music, and without the camera cuts telling me to hold a though while you ask for emails on a "masterclass". Keep it simple.
