I live in Upstate New York and they're saying there has been no CWD tested positive sense 2005. And far as the botfly larvae I have found them in the flesh where they burrowed a hole into gray squirrels, and cottontail rabbit. Very interesting. Great video! 👍
As a Wisconsinite, I can say the state did not walk away from trying to fight against CWD...our officials just did it wrong from the start. We have numerous deer farm's that seem to have been a large part of the spread as their infected animals would escape. We currently also have no baiting regulations in place where CWD has been detected. Remember my fellow hunter's, every time you see a scrape....make sure to brake off that licking branch....those thing's are no different than that corn pile.
This year, after 61 years of deer hunting, I had to throw away my deer. It had something that none of the game commission guys had seen, even the one that specialized in diseases. I sent photos to a doctor friend who passed them on to one of the main vets in Texas, and the game comm guy sent them to a Department of Ag Epidemiologist and a CWD specialist. They determined it was some systemic sepsis with abscesses running along the spine inside the cavity caused by bacteria or fungus. It showed as open holes along the spine. The deer also had the hooves separating which could be caused by EHD or Blue Tongue but the vet said this about the hooves: The hooves are a form of Laminitis secondary to the systemic sepsis! All agreed to not eat the deer. It sure hurt to dispose of the whole deer.
It is the same as mad cow critzfeld Jacob, bovine spongiform encephalopathy. Prions from squirrel brains also killed a man in upstate New York who at them.
I heard of the New York guy getting some prion disease. And they found out he ate some squirrels and figured it was from them but could not actually prove it was from them. Just knew he ate squirrels. It is weird that out of everyone that eats squirrels he is the only one to get it from squirrels on record. But maybe he did. And who knows if what I heard was right or wrong...lol Who knows? :)
Great video. I sent it to my son. He’s a research scientist.

Here watching from Nebraska
Thank you for watching from Nebraska.
Put that bot fly larva on a hook...could've been your next video.
Similar to mad cow disease. Pryons
So the deer has to change into a hamster or elephant to get rid of CWD? CWD is rampant in deer farms so do not hunt on deer farms like this guy did.
