- Commuters from both Malaysia and Singapore share the same frustration over the overcrowded bus service 856.
856 plies between Woodlands Temporary Interchange and Yishun Interchange via Woodlands Train Checkpoint, which is also known as the Woodlands Causeway.
Many Malaysian workers from Singapore will rely on Bus services 856, 950 or TS1 from Marsiling. However, 950 will usually be packed to the door and is therefore unable to stop at the bus stop and TS1 is a privately-operated service, which charges a higher fare.

Rear door boarding is allowed as long as bc enables that setting in card reader
Pretty sure 856A will be discontinued or extended to Woodlands North MRT when the RTS link opens

People will hate E6 MAN A95 because E6 A95 is on service 856
trust me lah SG will increase in population and in the future we might produce triple deck buses to meet the needs i guess if we go at this rate!

triple deck buses is impossible cos the centre of gravity too high
in other words if it is too heavy on upper deck and the bus makes a sharp turn, it will flip
LTA will be ready for that also, they want "Drastic Changes" if you know what i mean
TIB3106U i think the situation might improve with the new train line to Msia in the future lol. But focusing on short term, SBST and SMRT shd consider adding Short Working Trips to Wdl Train chkpt or smth

It's true that the population will increase, eventually causing demand on most svc to gradually rise, unless critical improvements are done, many might expect this to happen on more bus services across SG.
Double decker is useless but sometimes is not useless is the best if they use bendy
Solution would be to have shortworking trips from Marsiling to the checkpoint and back with bendies

170 has 170A. Settled. For 160 nobody cares man just take the mrt all the way to kranji. As for 950 there are alternatives like 903 911 912 913
Maybe should put new BSEP SWT 856A from WDL-checkpoint put who knows when LTA agrees if they don't than its a fact that LTA dosen't care for passengers.

Reviving Bus 190:Mission Impossible again. While the 190 situation is much better these days buses going to Causeway / Train Checkpoints now face their own nightmare (although one could board 903/911/13 from Woodlands)
Yea but it charges more cause you need to go MSL-WDL than go take 903 not 903P/911/913/912 not 912M p.s 911 more faster
+Spongycakes 24 problem is this. woodlands area does not have proper alighting areas for shuttle buses from the industrial areas of Woodlands/Kranji and Kranji station is packed like hell therefore most buses drop these malaysians at Marsilling stn which therefore causes this kind of things
I understand, but thing is 911/12/13 does not call at Marsiling Station b/s at all. The fact that 856 is always packed means that boarding 903/11/13 is worth the extra $ and time

I think there are some ways to solve this.
1. Add a bus service for all these people. Double Deckers. 2-3 come at a time.
2. Train. Yes ik coming soon, but I realise it will be jam packed cuz of peeps.

take a trip to bus stops with the names
Opp Marsilling Stn (Observe 950 and 856)
Kranji Stn (Observe 170 160 950) and you will be able to see how damn overcrowded these services are.

911/912 very bad in the morning peak
Wonder why they could not take bus 856 or other bus services going to Woodlands Checkpoint from Woodlands Interchange instead of opp Marsiling MRT
950, TS1 170 and 160 is not in any better than 856 at that time of the day either
they should experiment all-door boarding

856 goes from Woodlands Yishun and also because Malaysians working in SG want go back to Msia and 856 passes through Woodlands Train Checkpoint (Woodlands Causeway). 856 is also used by ppl who live along the route and also squeeze with the Malaysians.

i doubt anyone will actually bother going to woodlands just to take those few services. Besides, its not only these Malaysians who are going to use these services. Residents will also use these services.

? It's not that straightforward. There are too many buses in less demanded routes and too little buses on more demanded routes
