You can’t argue that you haven’t shown some stunning scenery. Love this style of videoing with the tranquil music playing in the background. Port Stephens is a magical place to explore and you certainly have shown this in your video. Thankyou so much.
Your videos are documentary quality. Much better than many of those shows on TV as they really depict the van lifestyle, with you, living your life for real. They really inspire me to get out there. Thanks again Jason.
Vids getting better and better Jason- love the drone footage and underwater filming, plus the cruisy music. You are a natural narrator - speak from the heart and love your sense of humour. You’ve definitely sold Port Stephens - it’s on the List for my next camping trip !
Thanks 😁 I'm finding I can condense some of the footage now by adding music...less hearing me talk but I think that's a good thing. Getting a lot of positive comments about adding the music....kind of essential with the drone 😁👍
Another great one. Loving the drone footage & getting to see these beautiful places from the sky as well. Bagnalls beach is one of my favourite places to stop for a few hours too. My little dog loves that beach. The images at the end were beautiful too. Those mountains that come all the way out to the ocean in sections look so cool. I hadn’t ever noticed them before. Love that you always show us something interesting!
Super nice spots ... The music in the last few episodes has added a vibe & the vids are getting better & better... Thanks for sharing your adventures. Cheers Renee
Gorgeous shots of all the beaches. It could be a tourism video. The warm weather this past week has been amazing. It must make vanlife more pleasant ( apart from the follow up storms). Thanks again for an enjoyable early Saturday morning viewing.
Wow , the scenery in that area is incredible, and I’m loving the drone footage . I’m actually staying at mungo Brush and surrounds in a couple of weeks, so thanks for the sightseeing tour 😁gives me some ideas of where to go when there. Great video, looking forward to seeing the next one 😊
That sounds good, Jeanie. It's a beautiful and peaceful area at Mungo, though pretty busy. Dees Corner seemed a lot quieter. Make sure you take LOTS of Aeroguard....mozzies are terrible there!
Another great video ......your getting really good with the drone and the music you put with it .... enjoy your day and we look forward to your next one ....ps I'm always checking youtube to see who put up a new video I have about six people I follow three in Australia and three in America, hope your wrist gets better so you can enjoy your bike rides again .....
Who would ever know what a fantastic country we live in without folk like Jason putting in the effort in filming, editing and presenting us their journey. Thank you Jason for taking us along on your journey. Like SeanC just said they're like a documentary. I'm starting to get itchy feet and get back on the road. Thank you so much for your videos. I look forward to them each time. How many of the places you go to are dog friendly? My family consists of the whippet, the Sun Conure and myself. It too will be interesting. May God bless your journey. Keep safe
Thanks Jo!☺️ I think I'm just lucky that so many people enjoy watching what I do. Making the videos is a good hobby to fill in any spare time 😂 I'm afraid I don't pay a lot of attention to dog friendlyness, but I know they aren't allowed in most national parks....and they cover a LOT of the country. That doesn't mean it's impossible though. Heaps of people are out there with dogs.
Great video love the underwater shots back in my territory weather has been awesome except for that storm the other day I’m sure you’re headed back to Newcastle by now happy travels
Another good episode Jason. This morning (Sat 9 Nov) I'm heading to Stockton Beach to meet other people for a bit of 4WDing on the dunes. Then in the afternoon, I'm heading to Nelson Bay to my family home to visit the folks. If you're still in Port Stephens, and I see your van, I'll be sure to say hello.
Sunsets across the Myall lakes are magnificent, also if you keep driving around the lakes to Legges camp you can catch the Old car ferry across to the Bulahdelah side of the lake. My family have been camping in the area for around 40years. Enjoy.
Really loving the drone footage. Such a beautiful area. Water looked inviting, if still cold. Bit of wild weather there for a bit. Look after that wrist.
Thank you very much, again! If I don't blow it on physio, I'll at least have a few take away lunches so I don't need to try and wash up after cooking 😂
If you see a white Toyota Hiace Hitop around the bay say hi. It's my van but my daughter is living in it at the moment. She's always up for a chat and also is a keen fisherwoman 😊 always parked at the beach somewhere around with her little dog 👍
I love the banana cutting. But I was a bit disappointed I didn’t see you folding your underpants in this video. I would like to see more of that please😅
@@MakingStuffGoingPlaces Jason your wrist worries me. Do you think you should get it x-rayed to make sure nothing is broken??? Other than that, great videos and an awesome adventurous life. Good on you 😃
@dianebaker4784 yeah, I've thought about getting it x-rayed 😂 It is getting better every day hence why I haven't seen a doctor yet. If there is a break, it's only a small one but I will probably get it checked at some point before I do anything too crazy and make it worse.
I wonder if you could do a run down on all your video gear - drone, car, underwater etc. its all such good quality. Curious about your approach to the wrist injury. I would have seen a doc, had xrays etc. to see what the damage is then decide what course of action to take. You turned that on its head, just decided to rest and wait for something to improve. So curious why that approach. Really, none of my business, but curious - maybe there is something to learn about these kind of injuries - I've had my fair share!
Now I have 3 cameras, I could do an overview video at some point. It's just getting the time when I have places to see 😁 Don't follow my example on injury recovery 😂 I tried to go to the hospital, but couldn't park the van anywhere.... I've actually injured that wrist once before in a similar way...crashed my bike. It felt all the same, actually a lot worse, and there was nothing on the x-rays. Each day there is noticeable improvement with it, but I may drop in to a doctor this week to have a chat about it.
I love it! The picture quality isn't the best but for the price.... I love that it follows and you don't need to pull out controllers to make it so it. Need to try it with some bike riding 😁 it just got a max speed upgrade in follow mode too, so that will be awesome
It's not a free camp spot, just a dirt road along the beach. It's one of those use at your own risk spots and don't use it too much! Lots of locals walk there in the mornings so you need to be very careful not to annoy anyone. If you look along Shoal Bay Beach, you'll find it.
You could drop into North Arm Cove, south of Tea Gardens. It's a small village now but with extensive unsealed "streets" ( tracks) through the bush. It was designed to be our capital city but that never eventuated. Not much there but it's interesting from it's capital city near miss. Also, curious as to the economy you get in the transit and how many kms you've clicked up so far.
I remember see ads on tv for those blocks of land....in the hope that one day it would be rezoned and you could build a house. That would have been at least 40 years ago.
Yeah, capital gains tax plus some weird stuff from my redundancy and how that impacts superannuation. Tax office has just started sending me tax account statements, and they're all over the place!

10:22 what a beautiful sunrise
Not bad at all!😁

Hi Jason, i was up at Nelsons Bay this weekend and i think I saw your van near Fingal Bay 😊
😁 very likely! Went for a walk around the rocks.
There was never many vans around the bay 5 years ago as l lived in my van then now they are everywhere 🌸
Certainly ramping up in popularity...not helped by people like me 😂
