Mr Jamie, our son,,, my wife and I,, son passed about 4 years ago now, about the same age,, we found him dead on our couch in the morning. How I wish I could sit and talk to you. When one knows themselves to be under surveillance (whether one is guilty or not), the desire to protect one’s privacy from disrespecting, condescending eyes becomes part of the human condition. It is more respectful to allow that person to answer questions and thus clarify any suggestions of suspicion.
Then why don't they release all of the video? Why won't Nancy Pelosi's office release all of the documents pertaining the January 6th and the decisions that led up to it? Why was Donald Trump's request for the National Guard turn down by Nancy Pelosi's office? Why didn't Nancy Pelosi allow any member of the Republican party that was chosen by Republican leadership? I so admire Congressman Jamie Raskin. I first became aware of him during the impeachment of Donald Trump. I understand grief having lost my husband 9 years ago and my partner 7 months ago. I cannot imagine losing a child AND functioning through the grief he and his family were enduring. Good luck to you Congressman as you continue to fight for our democracy.
His eyes are uncompromising. He and many more like him will not back down. Existential threats are not new, and direct confrontation is sometimes necessary. Those who would sacrificed freedom for security will have neither.
