Fun stories, but none of this sounds like how the military would operate. As a veteran I guarantee we would have had more than one firearm with us. As well we would have shot to kill, once you open fire you only stop to reload, but you do not stop trying to kill it.

Pretty cool stories, but they wouldn't use regular shotguns. They'd use tactical semi-auto shotguns with drum mags , M4's 7.62mm 30 round magazines, each carrying 6 to 8 magazines.. Possibly even the 40mm M32 Milkor 6 shot grenade launche, and probably .45 cal pistols. Possibly a short .50 cal rifle. Not hunting shotguns. If you're going up against a dogman, Sasquatch, werewolf, Gugwé, crawler,etc. You want high-powered weapons of war. Why? Because you are going to war.
