Yeah and the "almost 2x" crazy performance jump remains with the 1.55L 4090 to make it seem like the best value for the money. 1.16L 4080 16gb is barely at best 25-30% faster than the 3090, and fake 87k 4080 12gb is literally on par or sometimes even slower in rasterisation.
Crazy I was even able to buy a 62k 3080 fe last year with the so-called "gpu shortages".
4080 12g would be atleast 3090 ti level there isnt a 2x gap between a tier cuz usually

Performance graphs are already out for these new gpus officially by Nvidia, and the 4090 performance charts before review embargoes was spot on - 70% faster than the 3090 Ti. 4080 12gb is 30% slower than 4080 16gb which manages to beat the regular 3090 by 27%.
I never expected a 2x performance jump for every tier anyway.
My point is Jensen clearly took advantage of how people were readily paying over $1200/>1L for 3080s, and 3090s which were also crazy expensive for a mere 10-15% jump. RTX 40 series performance is definitely great especially with DLSS 3.0, but apart from the 4090 it's *terribly priced*.

But again this is what Jensen wants. For everyone to fall for the marketing and make the 4090 look like it's only the card to get, amazing value for the performance, DLSS 3.0, etc.
And when it comes to perf per dollar/rupee how about we compare it to the 3080FE which had an msrp of 62k in India, its even worse than the US. It's 2.5x more money in our country for 2x performance and DLSS 3.0. For comparison the 1080 ti ($700) was ~70% faster than the 980 ti ($649) and it was just $50 more.
Of course not everyone was able to buy them easily as either FEs were coming in with limited supply and AIB versions weren't cheaper than 1L because of 'shortages' and 'mining'. But fortunately I was able to snag an FE card last year.
6900xt/6950xt/3090/3090ti are all halo products that were crazy expensive for small performance gains (10-15%). Plus those overpriced 3080/6800xt's, yeah no shit perf/dollar is going to look much better compared to them.
By the way look at what just happened, Nvidia is apparently "unlaunching" the *fake* RTX 4080 12GB after receiving backlash. Looks like their scummy tactics aren't working anymore 😂

@@sumitmajumderags2251 it never tbh 6950Xt is equal to 3080 ti and gets beaten by a 3080 ti in many games 6750xt is 3070 level which should be 3070 ti level and 6700xt is slightly abovr 3060 ti level they are usually 1-2 tiers below
6400xt is gtx 1650 and add 10$ u can get 1650 super instead of 1650 is 6500xt which should be 3050(1660ti) u can say

i think nvidia did such a big leap coz amd has cpus and gpu and offers about 15% boost if paired and similarly intel launched gpu too so in near future it might as well offer some performance boost when paired with intel's own cpu and if that happens nvidia will be thrown out of the market
