      Frost's worst moment I think was realizing his entire offensive staff, which was the number 1 thing he bragged and boasted about would be the thing that most helped out to make Nebraska great again, had to all be fired at the same time when he realized they of all units weren't the answer. That was a great move that needed to be made, but an ultimate low, and the worst moment of his tenure so far. And to have to make that move after year 4 just really made the blow that much more impactful.

      @@zachwhitten5043 I swear he was trying to find new ways to disappoint. Losing after that onside kick was amazing.
      But breaking that 214-0 record was insane. I don't really even like Nebraska, but I was disgusted when I saw that Stat. I'd have been so livid, so I can imagine how easily it would have been for a rich booster to say, "I DONT WANT TO SEE HIS ASS ON THE SIDELINE AGAIN!"

    Watching this video today gives new meaning to all of these moments. It actually reminds me of other reasons he didn’t workout besides the obvious. The roster management was terrible. We were always paper thin at one or a few positions. I actually put the Minnesota loss as the biggest one. But not because of what it meant at the time but that it’s a microcosm of Frosts tenure. It’s the same thing that happened to last night. Opposing coach’s find a weakness in our team or our scheme and he in unable to adapt. It’s happened so many times

Too many! Not to mention the off-field like the weird Moos exit, Mo Washington, rumors about trying to cancel the Oklahoma game and Joe Burrow’s smile when asked about getting recruited to Nebraska in the 2018 offseason. I'm 51 and remember when Nebraska was unbeatable. As a kid I was a Gopher fan, I used to hate Nebraska, I went to the 1983 game where they thumped Mn 84-13. Later I ended up becoming a fan, watching Nebraska during the 90's was awesome, just loaded with talent year in and year out. Be tough to get back to the Tom Osborne days but I'm hoping to at least see respectable football with some 8-10 win seasons going forward!

    As a Spartan fan from Nebraska, it was that game when I knew the Spartans were going to have a year to remember...and they did.
    It was also the night before my running my first ever Marathon. Yes, I mean a 26.2 mile run. I was invited to 3 different parties that same night & unfortunately I wasn't able to go to any of them. 1 understood, another one was too far west, & 1 was trying to change my mind & I was tempted big time. Sadly, a voice told me "What's more important, your one thing on your bucketlist or a party that you can go to every 3 years?" My car was in the shop & given the fact I could have used my mom's car, but God forbid if her car gets wrecked or goes kaput. Not only she would kill me, but there goes my marathon race as well. I chose to stay at my mom's and listen to the game & then head to bed. That game lasted longer than expected.
    I did troll the Huskers because my wonderful MSU Spartans finally beat the Huskers for the 3rd time ever & I was waiting for Husker Fucker fans to troll me while I was trying to sleep. Luckily the complete opposite happened & I trolled them to thy kingdom come & they got butthurt. Nebraska Nice my Ass. 😅
    Don't get me wrong. I predicted a tight race & I thought it could go either way. Luckily after trolling them with a 7 minute video, I finally went to bed smiling like the meme when it's gonna be a good week after MSU wins a d-rided fanbase hence Frosterbater fans.
    The next day (morning), I did run the 2021 Heartland Marathon (My First Ever Marathon) in Omaha, NE. Before the gun went off, many people were trying to cope after the loss while I am walking on sunshine enjoying the moment despite me being nervous before starting "The Race Of My Lifetime" THE Heartland Marathon.
    In the end, I finished my first ever Marathon with a time of 5:29:44. I did not qualify for Boston but after only 10 weeks of training, 3 days rest, & a big game before my big race, I finished my race & I was not last in any category (age/sex/overall). Beginners Luck? I guess you can say that.
    Husker Fucker fans. You need to do better. You people are boring. You only care about Husker Football 24/7/365. You golf thinking that's the only thing you can do. You smoke alot of shit & bitch and complain alot. You have too much sinful pride. Your fanbase is NOT NICE especially when you don't get what you want. You have no cultural diversity in your state. Not to mention you lack the education on people with disabilities. You people are triggered on facts. Sorry Nebraska, you are NOT NICE. You are Nebraska Fake Nice. Finally, you have no direction, no excitement, & Omaha & Lincoln is NOT a sports city. Kansas City is a sports city. Remember, the college world series is your high school reunion & you people in Nebraska hate baseball because you think it's boring. Don't even think you are a true fan of baseball, basketball, or volleyball, or whatever other Pro sport or Husker Sports. You only follow them if there are good or if their is a former Husker on that pro sports team (Ndumbukong Suh, Alex Gordon, Alec Bohm, Joba Chamberlain, Lavonte David, list goes on). I see too many people like you. Wannabe fanboys of pro sports. You DGAF about pro sports unless their is a former Husker or even a Creighton player in that pro sport & you become a fan because of that player. Bandwagoner Alert.
    That's The Husker Fucker Way.
    I Love You When You Lose.

    What i heard most of all on this episode was how all Nebraska had to do to win this or that game was not kick the ball in the wrong direction or just make a simple field goal not allow a 96 yard flea flicker in the forth quarter and many more lost opportunities for this team to pull out some victories yes ultimately the coach takes the heat. The coach can only draw out the plays that puts the team in position to score but its the players on the feild who must execute these plays not just pee themselves in the worst possible time at some point in competitive competition you must tell yourself i will not let this guy beat me i will give everything I have to help my team to be victorious or maybe if things don't go your way you can just stomp your feet and hit the portal and hook up with a team that is having success

    Nothing was worse than the 2019 loss to Colorado. People forget how much excitement there was for the team coming into the season after the way they turned it around to end 2018. The CU meltdown was more than just a tough loss to a rival. It was evidence that this would not be the year we hoped it would be. Colorado fans celebrating on the field after starting a profane chant towards Husker fans before the game was the icing on the cake.

  • @Levi-tm4gl
    @Levi-tm4gl 2 роки тому +1

    The in-state recruiting situation is weird. Frost started off hot on the first two classes. But in the last two classes the top talent that left was all from Omaha.
    Kaden Helm told reporters that he was looking to move out of state for college (he wanted to experience the world outside NE) so he didn’t consider NU.
    Devon Jackson and Woods also seemed to not really consider NU at all.
    Dickerson thought about it but ended up in Oregon
    Micah Riley’s brother, Jayvon Ducker wasn’t offered by NU so maybe Micah was turned off by that.
    K Johnson basically told reporters that Iowa gives him a better chance to get to the league and that NU sucks, so he didn’t consider NU much.
    I have found that lots of kids under 20 in NE are fans of Oregon. I personally know about 6 Oregon fans that went to my highschool and what do you know Oregon has signed the best player in NE, 2 years in a row.
    It also seems that Omaha kids just aren’t big fans of NU.

    We’ll be fine. High will be 10-2, low will be 7-5 for this year. Here is my prediction for years to come though. After we have a good season this year. Frost will continue to attack the portal and will neglect on recruiting a little bit. All is good though, after players nation wide see how much NIL money Nebraska can produce for them. My only worry with this is prediction is it could turn into a Dallas Cowboys situation real quick if the culture isn’t solid in our program. Great video Connor!

    I still believe that the worst part of his career was letting Martinez play in games hurt last year and not letting Smoothers take the game, when we basically saw in Iowa game that Smoothers was better than a hurt Martinez.
    I also think holding onto the QB coach and the offensive coaches for as long as they did, was also a top 10 reason for his failure. Rule #1 as a HC, you dont hire friends.

Was at the game and there were Iowa fans in club level seats sitting with the home fans and it felt like they thought it was a guaranteed win coming in our house. To lose it after dominating the whole game just killed the spirit.

    • @CornCrazed
      @CornCrazed  2 роки тому +1

      No betrayal, he needed to leave because whole new staff came in and it was clear they were moving offense in a diff direction. Him leaving was good for him and for Neb. He got fucked at Nebraska with what I think was bad QB coaching and bad play calling. (Relied on him too much to make big plays because we never had a great RB)

    I lived in Alabama for a number of years. After Bear retired (and subsequently died a month later) everybody that was brought in had an "Alabama connection". Then Mal Moore stepped up and hired Nick Saban. Nebraska is in the same spot as Alabama was. Go hire the absolute best coach - Nebraska ties or not - and let's get on with it all ready. Forget Matt Campbell. How about Lane Kiffin? The guy at K-State would be good as well. A year or two ago I would've also said Steve Sarkisiian. Maybe Jimbo Fisher is ready to jump ship at A&M. Chris Petersen would also be a name coach I would look at. I would NOT go the Urban Meyer route as he has pretty much left the program in an almost shambles or under investigation. Need I also bring up his off field problems in Jacksonville as well?.There are other BETTER coaches to be had other than Meyer.

    The worst moment was probably when Frost said that they were surprised by the Illinois gameplan and were unable to adjust.
    Or maybe it was when Frost was caught cheating with the ST analyst and the ST still ranked 126th.
    It could have also been “The BIG 10 is going to have to change their defenses to match our offense”
    Or “you think he is better than what we got”
    Or “we just had our best practice that I have ever seen” and then proceeds to lose to Minnesota with only half its roster.
    Or “he is not a part of this football team right now” X 3

  • @cornfednebraskaneer
    @cornfednebraskaneer 2 роки тому

    The biggest thing is Frost waltzing into Lincoln thinking it would be UCF 2.0. Not in the B1G, buddy. You can't expect to win in this league with a playbook and fancy mottos. If you wanna hang with the likes of Michigan, Ohio State, and Wisconsin, you gotta out-physical and out-fundamental them. There is no fooling them with some new formation or play. It's pretty simple. From tackle to tackle, can your guys move their guys around? For the most part, the answer has been no. Many times not even close.
    Frost seems to have this idea that Osborne's 3 yards and a cloud of dust is trite and a bygone era. What he needs to understand is we aren't getting anywhere CLOSE to being 'back' until he gets off his high horse, stops trying to gimmick his way down the field, and gets laser focused on recreating a semblance of the running game that literally built the stadium they're playing in. We will never win consistently trying to throw the ball. Ever. We only gain back respect and wins like we always have. Run the ball, Scott, for heaven's sake!
