Wonderful tribute! I admit, the mention of Lawrence Norrington in the comments made me think this was about James's relationship with his father, and I cried. He hated pirates with an all consuming passion. The line "He lives in you" makes me think of Lawrence's campaign to rid the seas of all pirates living on in dear James. I imagine James's dedication to it is born partially of a wish to win his father's approval, which, based on the books, was very hard to do when he was growing up. But I like to imagine Lawrence, though often treating his son more like one of his sailors than anything, had good reason for his almost crazed hatred of pirates, like James's mother dying at their hands, and tried his best to be a good father, taking his son to sea with him not only to teach him a trade that would support him well later in life but also to keep him close. As he got older, James grew to understand his father better, even if he never felt that his father approved of him.
It's such a perfect song, too. I mean like personally--"He lives in you", you being all of us viewers and Norry fans, etc, who cried when he died. Thanks.
This video is the best I've seen so far! It seriously made me cry.Have been listening to the song over the whole summer since I found it. He lives in me He's watching over everything we see Well.. It did affect me,I suppose
Amazing, truly Amazing! BUT if this decated to James I just want to let you know that the dude on 1:30 is NOT James Norrington. That's his father Lawrence Norrington.

You'll probably never get this! But what books have all this information about his father?? The movies didn't mention this did they!?

He has a cousin named Fitzwilliam.
Actually, that is James. Lawrence Norrington never appeared in the movies.
