Al Di Meloa is the whole thing. He's very modest.
Old school metal head here, just now starting to develope a deeper understanding and interest in this genre. This cat is a beast. His musical i.q. is so high.
Saw Al with RTF as a young rocker and had my mind expanded.
Years later in a smaller venue he signed my campfire guitar which was promptly retired.
Two decades later I got to see him again at a very classy place and surprise, soon after my son's High School jazz band got to play the same stage.
I told my son he can never understand how cool this is for me.
Living legend
Can't stop tapping my foot now....bless him..The ageless mystro
Maestro
Who give the gift for Al Dimeola ?
God give hin this guitar play hands!!!! All pray and glory ti o the crucifide
Jimi Hendrics is only human ... no God... Jeesus was God my Lord... i play guitar because i want play praise the Lord my King... Amen 6:23 😊
God bless the jazz improvising mentor who helped one of the greatest technicians of our time master his art.
Probably the most complete guitar player ever.
His emphasis on time and rhythm in his philosophy of playing music is spot on.
Using a Pick disqualifies him. But cool stuff
@@rumsbums3113 every guitar player uses some kind of pick, plastic or finger it makes no difference. Music is all about melody and Al is a melodic genius. then again only azzholes play lead guitar with their fingers
I'm convinced Al is the most complete guitar player of all time.
His leads are perfect, and his rhythm is beyond ridiculous. Al is the man.
True Genius
My cousin turned me on to Al in the early 90’s when I was big into Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. I’m so glad to have these great musicians in my ear bring happiness into my musical life.
I guess Im randomly asking but does someone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@David Ryder instablaster ;)
@Marlon Tristen i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now.
I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Marlon Tristen It worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much, you really help me out!
@David Ryder happy to help :D

the inner clock, latino blood ....fantastic!!!!!! i can t believe Al he s almost 65 years old ...difficult to really believe that !!!great sense of humour also !!
Love this guy
We don't have Best Guitarist in the world", but I must nevertheles admit that Al Di Meola is the "Best Guitarist" ever! :)
I mean the compbination of his technique, sound and writing (which has covered almost all of the genre of music) and off course he is a great human.
Wow. That friend of Di Meola who facilitated the connection to Chick is like the Ivan Vaughn of jazz fusion.
thank you for this. sincerely.
Hey AL , thanks for your generosity and your fire 🔥
alto nivellllllll ❤❤❤❤🍺🍻🍺👍✌
Amazing man, top master
Exceptional musician, composer and guitarist his talent is matched only by his humility
His humor is exceptional as well
His humility 😂😂😂😂

Pure genius
hahahaha Al D telling the guy dont worry very quick.. thanks for posting this lost touch with Al awhile this is great thanks for posting this...
You are one of the few who are left pls keep healthy as we cannot lose another chick gone now God bless
It’s “Berklee “ College of Music
Not Berkeley which is in California.
I went there with Al..
Egberto Gismonti is from my country. Just to say... Lol
He's got an octave pedal going on there too. really cool.
Really helps give that percussive sound he’s known for. With that slight echo it really accentuates his attack. Def gonna try this on acoustic.
What’s that guitar he’s playing? I remember the Ovations from the 80s
@@gitarman666 . . . Still playing those unique Ovations. Has had his own version of the ' Custom Legend ' for at least four decades . Unmatched .
When was this clinic? I went to see him at Hermes in about 2000? I got to jam with him that night at a gig we were playing and he showed up there. He autographed my guitar.
Sick guitarist!!! I thought about playing and when I hear guys like him paco etc, I just say ahhhhh forget it!!
Go for it
You would think that whoever produced this video should know the difference between Berklee and Berkeley.
What's interesting is that another guitar player I really like, who comes from a totally different genre of music, is Neil Geraldo from Pat Bennatar. He says the exact same thing about timing. I've heard him say it in several interviews the most important skill to develop is timing.
Neil is a great player, but often overlooked.
Here's the gold: 12:08
hell yeah!
01:37 He went to Berklee not Berkeley (totally different places)
Does this guy ever age? He's like Dorian Grey.
Expensive hair transplants tend to keep you well preserved.
@@lwmson Well Said, Lol.
He has been 40 for almost 50 years now.
23:27: 'Modes? Learn 'em.........then forget 'em.'
Me: Yep!
👍👍
Part about Latin blood making it easier to find your internal timing: 20:38
💯
What's the song name at 18:00 ?
Anyone know the name of the song @ 17:08?
is he playing with octave plug in??
What type of strings doi al use?
He can do that.... 8:47
Roland Vg 88 guitar
"The melody is not the most important part". Listen to Pat Metheny.
What is the name of the first tune he played?
if you`re asking about melody resincopated by Al,well, this is Astor Piazzolla`s "Cafe 1930"
@@ashotvoskan9260 thanks a lot my friend! What a melody! I didn t hear this before. You opened to me a new world . I love the way Al plays it
Berklee, not Berkeley. ;)
2005......15 years ago. No wonder he doesn’t look 65 yo🤣
He will. :)
Berklee , not Berkley :)))))
Al says people with “Latino blood” have a better sense of pulse than people from Asia. Yeah there’s very few masters of rhythm from Asia. Except for the hundreds of millions of Indians and Pakistanis and Bengalis and Tamil and.......
I understood him to mean East Asians.
