I have no problem with how he's being integrated, for his first half a season in Europe it is going EXACTLY like it should. If this continues next season it will start to approach being a "situation". the remainder of the season is dead rubber with zero pressure on him

The comparison between Guiu and Roque is one played for under age team meanwhile other one play for his senior club team and made his debut for the national team if the first one done the same thing he would had starting for Barca considering his nationality

It has felt criminal the lack of start time for Roque. It may be worse that even when he plays he has to be out of position, and yet Lewy continues to start and dominate minutes. Of all the choices Xavi has made this season, Roques lack of minutes and position has been the most confusing to me

The way the season is going at the moment it only makes sense to give him game time. Lewy is getting older and integrating Roque little by little is our best option. His starts weren’t picture perfect but the movements and the way he was attacking the box was a joy to watch.
I am honestly scared for him knowing that Xavi is staying…

I have such little confidence in Xavi. Another year of an older, slower, misfiring Lewa. Lewa deserves some blame but so does Xavi. The tactics have been awful. You would think that given the players we have such as Yamal, Raphinha, Cancelo, Felix, Pedri, Gundo that we would want a more mobile CF that can pull defenders and open of areas in which these players could create. Roque's movement has been so good.

Vitor just happened to score his both of his goals when he was used as a centre forward, it's like Xavi is punishing him for something (or trying to learn him a lesson) with playing him at wide. Xavi gave chances to youngsters ONLY when he had no other options. Yamal came because Dembele left. Cubarsi came because Christensen and Kounde played in different positions. Fort came because Cancelo was suspended or needed rest. These guys succeeded and hence are in Xavi's plan. Roque will not get a look in till Lewandowski is in the club. He better go on loan or he will stagnate

8th in goals and 3rd in assists in La Liga.....yeah Lewy didn't do much lol......but yeah, I understand that he has played a lot less legendary this year than his standard, but I think Lewy is a better option than anyone else on the team, unless they bring on a world class striker to replace him, he should stay and they should change the gameplan instead of just crossing the ball to him with 3 people defending him. Yamal trained with the first team for 8 months before his debut, which lasted 7 minutes.
Balde was an understudy to Alba for the entire 2021 season.
Gavi went six months playing infrequently for Barca B before forcing his way into the team during the 2021 pre-season.
Patience. Even great young players usually need months training with the first team before they’re ready to start regularly. This very channel talked about how great it would be to get Roque in January so he’d have time to settle in without the pressure of being a starter. He’s shown positive signs, but it’s also clear he’s working on learning positional play and improving his technique in the build-up. Neither of these areas require intensive game time to develop.
Roque’s time will come. When it does, he’ll be an important player.
Same thing with Kessié, he could have been very useful this season as he could play the DM role better than anyone we have right now but Xavi chose to sell him and bring in useless Romeu. I honestly don’t trust Xavi when it comes to picking which players to bring in etc because his choice of players are very very suspect, even Lewa I’d argue that he wasn’t worth what we paid for him, and it was Xavi’s choice. Bayern definitely laughed their way to the bank with that one. And who can forget about Alonso who Xavi wanted at all costs. The only player Xavi got who was 100% worth it was Christensen, and maybe Cancelo.
I swear, he was very useful last season. That's my problem with Xavi, very stubborn. There were matches where it was clear that we didn't need Lewandowski, but he still kept him on the pitch because he favours him so much. I just hope he hasn't killed the confidence of Vitor, because he had some good matches. Everytime we keep saying he doesn't know how to play our positional play, he's a fucking striker for God sakes and he's young and more mobile than Lewandowski. He'll definitely have what to add to the team with only a little trust.

Xavi is stubborn but doesn’t have experience, which tell me he’s just a stubborn guy by nature which is not a good thing because as a manager you need to learn from your mistakes. This time next year we’ll be talking about the same things because Xavi will be doing the same old things that don’t work and expecting them to all of a sudden start working.
I think it is a scandal how little Roque and Guiu have played. Why on Earth does Lewa play EVERY match for 90 min? Is there a contractual obligation? It is a testament to Lewa’s fitness that he hasn’t broken down. He has played 2300 minutes this season, with only Kounde and Gunda (in two more matches) have played more.
Now that the season is practically over, Xavi should give Roque more minutes to prove his worth
Roque is a gem. If his confidence suffers in any way, blame it on Xavi. He has not been kind to the boy with game time even when the guy should have played, and the few times he played earlier on, he responded with aplomb.

I always assumed that there was some kind of clause in Vitor's contract. The more games played the more we would need to pay his former club. It's kind of my only explanation as to why he wasn't played more
... I never thought he would start/replace Lewa this season. As much as he shows potential he also shows he lacks a few things. It is surprising how few mins he's got but the title race is over now, so many a couple more mins will come his way.

He played injury prone pedri as 4th midfielder over joao when ferran was injured and in the same match frenkie , pedri both got injured. If he hates a player he will not give them time no matter what. Xavi is not someone who fears injury or starting young players. He doesnot like vitor thats why he is not giving him time. I think Xavi will use him alot now, before, Xavi was just focused on the champions League so he went for players with more experience and the few like lamine and Cubarsi were players who just fit into their roles and owned it, but Xavi would not risk benching lewandowski for Vitor Because he was trying to play Lewy in to sharp form, but now that that is over, I think Xavi would be ready to experiment more

Lewa has nice shooting abilities and that`s it, his first touch is awful, doesnt have pace nor dribbling skills, on the other hand, Roque has more pace, is good at dribbling, has a nice shooting, he just needs to improve at duels, since he has learnt in Brazilian league to fall down pretty easily, that doesnt work in La Liga, but he cant improve anything and get into form because the guy is not playing.
But the problem is, Xavi gave Lewandowski a "star" label in the team, so he has to keep on giving him preferential treatment.

The reason why Roque isn’t playing is because Xavi didn’t want him to begin with. Roque is more of a deco signing, Xavi hasn’t put in any effort to improve and get the best out of him and next season might be the same

I think give Lewa 60min, Roque 30min. Sometimes switch it around. Definately tell Lewa to work more or he will lose his place as first choice but I wonder if Xavi puts any pressure on Robert…

Whenever a situation like this happens it's almost always the player's performance in training, and clearly Xavi's decision to not play Roque is cause of that. We don't know anything other than "we signed this player for x million and isn't playing therefore it's not good" but I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet

Roque needs to be given the opportunity to be a starter with the STARTING team. Players who can give better through balls, recognize his movements off the ball, and feed his quality. THEN the board should think about a loan after his match performances.
Victor is a fantastic player, should have more minutes definitely. Since we aren’t playing for anything, it would be wise to give Victor more playing time. In his natural position of course

Xavi I feel is to blame for this. Lewandowski needs to play fewer games and Roque needs to start more. He trusts the La Masia kids so much, he should give Roque a chance too.
La masia kids are already familiar with barca style of play, I think that's why Xavi trust them more

The problem is that he has only been at the club for 4 months and we are already talking about the “roque situation”. We have no patience with young players or the coach developing them. Remember when everyone was crying to give ricky puig a chance to play.
I think he may be the best striker at our club right now considering raw talent/potential.
