Yeah that's very probable otherwise X2 would have probably been an old man when Rham Kota came to recruit him because more than 15 years had passed since the end of the clone wars and X2 seemed to be only in his 40's 50's at most but that would mean they had been cloned long before the others clones which I don't know if it's realistic to clone them 20 years before the clone war and 10 years before the others clones.
The idea of two none Jango Clones being raised alongside the army is very interesting. With both having a unique perspective on the war, yet taking drastically different actions. It's not mentioned here but from the start it's shown X1 loved combat and gaining glory. Growing to deeply resent the Jedi as the war went on. Since they practiced restraint and so, in his mind didn't have any business leading them. If ever included in canon they could show their reaction to the biochips, with X2 being horrified, and X1 not caring since as far as he's concerned, it made the Clones back into what they where supposed to be before the Jedi encouraged their individuality. Ignoring the double standard of them retaining _their_ free will when X2 points it out for extra monster points.
If this were adapted to canon, maybe the force sensitivity they have mean they aren’t affected by the chips, I think this reinforces the core themes as X1 continues fighting for glory until the end
@@Avenger85438 that makes sense too, I don’t think Disney will try something like this despite how cool it would be to see this brought to the big screen
@@geetslys When you saying anything Disney made, does that include stuff like Rogue One, the Vader comics, and Rebels, because personally, I feel most of their addition for the time between Episode 3 to 4, and even some extra stories for the OT, like Luke fighting the Grand Inquisitors ghost, are pretty good. Now all their stuff for what happens after episode 6, or yeah Legends has them completely beat.
Geetsly's Hey Jedi Fallen Order is awesome and by far the best Disney has done thus far, I would certainly love to decanonize it so it could officially be part of Legends, but well, that’s when beautiful head canon comes in!
It is reason enough why Legends needs to be continued with new stories in a separate, but equal timeline. Its why people really need to support or join the Star Wars Legends movement.
i find it interesting that you can see from the first scene in the game how X1 wants power. X1 orders other troopers around "like some kind of general" as X2 puts it, and X1 does not help the troops with their work. He sees others as beneath him, and that kind of superior attitude is clearly a path to the dark side
Brooooo I played battlefront elite squadron on my psp when I was a kid I totally remember playing the campaign with x2. Thx for making the video and remembering my childhood
I forgot about this game and story they could have reworked this story to work perfectly with some expansion to it using new and old characters perfectly setting it close to the end of the original trilogy and letting new video games play off this along with the shows plus Vader's castle looks so much cooler
I never knew of these two but when I was a child I just made up the idea of two clone brothers one being jedi, one sith, just by using two clone trooper figures and put two cloaks on them. Cool to see this
Since I saw the title I knew who they were, and the first second confirmed it :P I think this game deserves a remake for new gen consoles, including mainly the DS version of the storyline and campaign maps, since it's the most detailed, and the PSP mechanics, such as the loadouts and the mixed ground and space battles for the multiplayer. All that with the current gen's graphics and a customization system like Halo: Reach's.
One thing I'm confused about is whether or not they had accelerated cloning process like the fett clones. Bcz if they first served as normal troopers at first then they should have it however the dude lives to be in the OG trilogy era
this game was amazing. so many happy memories of being a child just battling it out on either story or pvp on my PSP. damn, im getting old and im just gen Z
I had heard of this story before, not all the details which you happily provided, but I got the gist of it and I thought it was good. Really wish it was still canon. It would be awesome Luke's Jedi Council would consist of himself, X2, the Clone of Starkiller, K'Kruks, Ezra Bridger, Cal Kestis, Yaddle, and maybe if Luke can pursued her Ahsoka Tano.
there were 3 StarWars Battlefront games after 2, they were Elite, Rogue and Renagede Squadrens, Fucking amazing games that i rarely see people taling about because they were PSP exclusives
Dude, I remember playing this whole story on battlefront on my old DSi. I got to the rancor fight when x-1 fights his brother but I couldn't use the force to kill it with the rocks because my R/L keys were broken :(
I really love the DS version of the game since, unlike the PSP version, it provides more context into the actions of X2 and X1 respectively, as well as their psychology. X2 reluctance towards fighting for the Rebellion as well as earning promotion after promotion, to the point of becoming a Jedi, stems from both the trauma of the actions he committed during Act 1. When he killed Ferroda on Cato Neimoidia and failed to save his father on Dantooine, he began to doubt the quality of his character, which greatly inhibited his trust in himself and felt undeserving of the future praise he would receive following those events. As a result, he became reluctant towards his promotions and his doubts on using the Force stems from how dangerous he could end up being if he decides to tap into that power. Luke himself becomes aware of this and assures him that when the moment comes, he'll know exactly what to do and knows he won't turn. However, his brush with the dark side on Dathomir reignited these doubts and he likely became unsure of himself before and possibly during his confrontation with X1. It wouldn't until said confrontation on Mustafar where he accepts the power he has and ends up using it to end the constant conflict rather than perpetrating it, taking pity on his insane brother and sparing him. This confidence in his judgement and acceptance in himself allowed the cloned Jedi to earn the rank of Master, a title which he accepted humbly but decisively. By contrast, while X1 might've had perceived his intentions of an army of aggressive Jedi as good, his fall to the dark side was an inevitability the moment he touched the Force. As he states during his brief interaction was his brother on Mustafar, he was able to sense the conflict on all of the soldiers and their aggression, comparing it to the lava from which they fought above it. While this is mostly speculation on my part, I believe that once X1 realized his Force potential, he tapped into it to sense the aggression and conflict within others and involuntarily fed on it to feed his own power, which caused a sudden addiction to continue this process. This makes X2's assumption of the paranoia of his brother make sense since he would want to keep himself alive to enjoy feeding off the conflict of others. He's like a cowardly version of Darth Malgus. Both emphasize the importance of conflict and aggression in the dark side and have been utterly consumed by it, but where the dark lord fights himself to experience the rush of it with his allies, X1 is content to let his soldiers do the work for him while he built up his power being feeding off them and his enemies. Ironically, this desire would be his undoing as his last attempt to kill his brother ended by Green Goblining himself, and being consumed by the raging lava from below. Overall, both characters are highly underrated and have pretty good development, particularly X2. I just wish we got to see more of his story following the events of the game and see how he would fare in the Yuuzhan Vong War and the other various conflicts that were going on following the Battle of Mustafar.
I never liked that this alternative story had fallen to be forgotten. It would be awesome that the characters were readapted so they could fit in the chronological canon.
I think that's ultimately the story of the Force. What it is. Ultimately, from a purely literary stand point. The Force is a McGuffin used to showcase the duality of man.
This would be an awesome story to make into animation, if they wanted to they could explore this story with the Bad Batch as they are special clones too and other Elite clone units during the clone wars, Galactic Civil war and the Imperial Remnant era.

Such an under rated chapter in Star Wars. I loved playing SW battlefront elite squadron on my PSP back and in the day. This story is canon for me
Great game!!!
ahhh good days
I knew exactly where this was headed by the title, but this video ha been pure nostalgia!

I would assume that these two did not have accelerated aging because they made it so long into the empire
