I am from Czech republic and Kino with V. R. Tsoj is my favourite Soviet / Russian rock star - 100 % fantastic! I learn Russian and love it much, but it goes slowly, due to my visual impairment. V. R. was great man, who reached the star called Sun, when He so tragically passed away. Viktor Robertovic connects people from all over the world: Czech republic, Mexico, Russia... I am from the United States and lately have gotten into Kino and other Russian/Soviet bands like it and I am loving it. It is a shame that this kind of music is overlooked here and in other non Russian-speaking countries. I hope that someday this band and others like it gain recognition outside of just post-Soviet countries.

Kino is a timeless band, it will live on forever. I mean, I first heard of Kino in 2008 and when I heard them for the first time they really felt like a breeze of fresh air compared to everyting else there is today. Williamz Well, a lot of inhabitants of the Metro have been born and spent all their lives there. A lot of history records, music, etc. has been destroyed by the nuclear war or if it survived it's on the surface, and thus has become unobtainable for everyone except for the daredevil stalkers. Very few people actually remembers how life was before the war, and even if they remember Kino and their songs, they can't replicate them since they don't know how to play instruments. And if they knew... well, the game didn't just show it, heh.

I also think that KINO is more like Russian Nirvana than Talking Heads:) Unlike David Byrne's, Tsoy's lyrics are much darker, nostalgic and emotional while Byrne is acting as "rational" musician who is more into playing with concepts and meanings) I adore all 3 bands though.

Hace unas emanas pregunte en esa tienda si me podian conseguir material de KINO, me dijeron que no.. pero en su base de datos salio que tuvieron en venta dos recopilsaciones de KINO. pero que hace mas ed un año dejaron de vender ese material.
trabajé en una tienda de música, yo creo que si se lo encargas bajo pedido te los trae, pasame un correo para pasarte :)
Pues el que me atendio me dijo que antes lo hacian, pero que edjaron de hacer eso por que luego eran problemas.. me recomendo comprar en internet.. pro la neta no le se a eso :P

Whooow, that is fantastic! I also love Kino and Viktor R. Tsoj. I was born in Czechoslovakia in 1985, exactly 4 years before The Velvet revolution and I was 6, when The USSR colapsed. I could visit Soviet union, buy ticket to performance of The Kino group with V. R. Tsoj anytime, anyhow, anywhere, anyway. I am highly interested in the real life behind "The Iron curtain", mainly in The Czechoslovakia and The USSR, I even collect "retro stuff" made in The USSR and Cs. It is not hard to guess, V. A. Legasov is my great inspiration in many ways of life, is my "teacher" and soulmate. I "met" Kino and V. Tsoj mainly thanks my hobbies. I learn Russian and like it much, Russia is friendly state with friendly people! Greetings from Prague, stay safe and be healthy!

This song has a very deep spiritual meaning. He was definitely connected to the Higher Truths. His grave is close to my grandfather's grave in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I was there. Viktor Tsoi, definitely, reached the Stars before he was gone.

Kino is a timeless band, it will live on forever. I mean, I first heard of Kino in 2008 and when I heard them for the first time they really felt like a breeze of fresh air compared to everyting else there is today. I know that this sounds mushy but, Tsoi and Kino will always live on in our hearts and minds.

Williamz Well, a lot of inhabitants of the Metro have been born and spent all their lives there. A lot of history records, music, etc. has been destroyed by the nuclear war or if it survived it's on the surface, and thus has become unobtainable for everyone except for the daredevil stalkers. Very few people actually remembers how life was before the war, and even if they remember Kino and their songs, they can't replicate them since they don't know how to play instruments. And if they knew... well, the game didn't just show it, heh.

I also think that KINO is more like Russian Nirvana than Talking Heads:) Unlike David Byrne's, Tsoy's lyrics are much darker, nostalgic and emotional while Byrne is acting as "rational" musician who is more into playing with concepts and meanings)
