It was bad enough to put him on on the list let alone the thumbnail. I'm going to keep watching because I love your videos, but I know you pay enough attention to the NBA landscape to know better than to make a mistake like this.
Everyone hates on Gobert, meanwhile he's been the anchor for the best defense in the league so far. He's overpaid and they gave up too much for him, but Gobert has been criticized so much to the point where people like u are high key underrating him. And you can't just talk about how terrible Randle and KAT have been this season so far but ignore how great Gobert has been defensively this season. Cherrypicking.
@@DisxreetYou can’t say that. Because Minnesotas personal has two of the best perimeter defenders, and the combination of 6 foot 11, mcdaniels, 6 foot 11 Naz Reid, 7 foot kat, and 7 foot 1 Gobert are wreaking havoc on small ball lineups. That’s not even including ant who’s looking like the best 2 way guard since Kobe and wade. dude was injured almost all of last year??? I agree so far this year (Besides last night) KAT has been disappointing but can't call a fluke injury a disappointment IMO. That being said we've played 8 games and you play 82 games for a reason. KAT has too much talent to keep shooting as poorly as he has. But I think you hit it spot on for Rudy. You know exactly what you get with him and so far it is working very well for them. Interested to see how the season turns out
Gobert on this list is one of the worst takes you ever had, he has been incredible on defense in Utah, he was THE defense in Utah, and now in Minnesota, he has also being incredible, they had a top defense, and it's most due to Gobert, as long as you can give him perimeter players that will actually guard their man and rotate, Rudy will guarantee a top defense.

Hi! Love your videos, just curious about your comment on Gobert that: "The fact that he is French makes him an easy target!?" Did I miss something about people being from France that makes them targets? 🤔
I disagree with Gobert to be on this list. He anchored Wolves to the top 10 defense past season and now Wolves is no. 1 defensive rating with a huge margin. Robert individual numbers obviously will change because the environment in Wolves is completely different than in Jazz. Robert raw and advanced stats are expectedly decreased mainly because he has tons helps on defense playing alongside McDaniels, Edwards and Kyle Anderson. He also doesn't need to post up to score because he plays with capable passer in Towns, Conley, Edwards and Anderson. I believe Gobert impact is way beyond his number to someone like James Harden.
The difference between Gobert and Howard is that Howard thought he was better than he actually was, and over time he showed little to no improvement. Gobert on the other hand isn't a diva, he just got paid too much and they expect too much from him because of it.

I got to be honest Andy this is the first time I've ever been disappointed in one of your videos, Rudy gobert is spearheading the best team defensive rating in 7 years. It was bad enough to put him on on the list let alone the thumbnail.
I'm going to keep watching because I love your videos, but I know you pay enough attention to the NBA landscape to know better than to make a mistake like this.
But Randle is Freaking DOG DOO DOO SIZZLING IN THE SUN.
You don’t watch to much basketball huh
Everyone hates on Gobert, meanwhile he's been the anchor for the best defense in the league so far. He's overpaid and they gave up too much for him, but Gobert has been criticized so much to the point where people like u are high key underrating him.
And you can't just talk about how terrible Randle and KAT have been this season so far but ignore how great Gobert has been defensively this season. Cherrypicking.
French JaVale McGee is gonna get exposed in the playoffs again 😂😂😂😂
He's just an average player and the wolves traded way too much for him. That's why.
Rudy’s came around this season. The trades finally starting to turn towards the T-Wolves favor.
It’s been 9 games boss. We know when it’s Playoff time teams expose his ass too fucking easy.
You can’t say that they’ll get exposed in the playoffs because for the first time in Gobert career, he’s not playing by himself on defense. He has help, and a lot of it.
@@Disxreetthe combination of kat and Gobert on the court this year has a better offensive rating than the nuggets starting lineup. It is true that we’re only 9 games into the season though and anything can happen, including injuries, but saying that they’ll get exposed in the playoffs is based off what? This roster is far different from any of Utahs.
@@Disxreet True, it's only been 9 games but having the best Defense in those 9 games is note worthy. It's not like they're the 7th best Defense, they ARE the best Defense, that's not just gonna change overnight.
@@DisxreetYou just can't disregard entire seasons of defensive dominance based on playoff team loses when facing the toughest competition, when it's a toss up who might advance a round or not, if not playing obviously superior teams.
Didn’t expect such a bad video from Andy
Disagree a lot on Gobert. He is having arguably the best defensive start of his career, and the Timberwolves are literally the #1 Defense (a mix of Gobert's elite presence and an actual good defensive core). The only problem in Minnesota is his fit with KAT, which, despite you saying it was theoretically good, it's been awful in the last two years, specially offensively.
I like your content a lot, but stop saying things you don't know, Gobert is on pace to have one of the greatest defensive sessons in recent memory.
Calm down Donatello, just wait until playoff time and maybe youll change your mind 😉
@@Shaz-Daz I don't think Rudy gonna be on situations where he has to guard two players at once with McDaniels, Anderson & Edwards instead of Mitchell, Bogdanovic and Clarkson. Watch basketball.
@@leos_27I mean all he said was wait until the playoffs. Wtf watching ball have to do with that? If anything watching ball would support his argument. If you’ve watched ball you’d know Rudy has gotten exposed in the Playoffs. Not the first 9 games. The Playoffs where niggas turn it up. And other niggas shut down…KAT
Rudy is a playoff superstar.
@@Disxreet You saying Rudy was exposed in the playoffs literally shows you do not watch basketball.
Gobert? Really? He is one of the best Defender Right now and he has Improved in the Offense.
Exactly all the flaws he mentioned were last season when he was dealing with back problems, he’s completely turned it around and is having an elite season
Brown and Gobert don't belong on this list
gobert best defensive player itl y he in this vid
Bro said Gobert is easy to hate because he's French... That's wild
This is because many Americans hate some players for the simple reason that they are foreign, see what happens with Jokic, that's why Andy said that Gobert being French is one of the reasons why people hate him
Andy hatin' on the french just because he can't speak "Omelet du fromage" properly.
😂😂😂
Only speak on Kat if anyone on the timberwolves. Rudy has been his normal self. He’s never going to expand offensive game at this point, he is who he is, putback dunks and lobs. The wolves overpayed for Rudy but his play hasn’t changed too much from when he was in Utah. Kat has been a disappointment so far this year and the entirely of last year.
dude was injured almost all of last year???
Terrible Gobert take he’s having an elite season
You can hear the anger in Andy's voice when talking about Randle lmao
This video was kind of an L just for having Gobert on this list. Are we still saying he's overrated, even though he's clearly the most impactful defender in the league rn and arguably for the past 7 seasons?
He’s overrated when you see his huge contract, but his impact as a defensive player is just star level. But his offense is not star level.
@@bandito241 Either way he's known for his Defensive impact, something he rightfully earned. He's still one of the best Defensive anchors in the league, butterfingers or not.
He is, but is his huge contract worth his talents? Ben Wallace never got that money and he was a DPoY too. My point is that he is getting paid the same as AD, Giannis or Embiid but doesn't have the same impact on both sides of the court. He's a good player and good to have on your team but he is a huge liability on offense.@@09lowkey
Gobert doesn’t belong on this list. The Timberwolves are the top defense right now largely thanks to him, and he’s legit back to being DPOY level. His inclusion on the list isn’t even a stretch, it’s just plain wrong.
Haha wait until platoffs time 🤦😆
@@Shaz-Daz Doesn’t change the fact that he’s anchoring the best defense right now.
@@Shaz-Daz You mean wait and see him succeed now that he has elite wing help on defense..something he never had in Utah? The guy can't be in 3 places at once and he won't have to be with Ant,Jaden McDaniels, and Kyle Anderson helping him on the perimeter.
Can't believe people still diss him for not being able to stop entire teams come playoff time when he was the ONLY defense Utah had.
@@BrendanSlobIkr, the playoffs argument against Gobert is one of the dumbest things lots of people bring up when talking nba.
The anchor of the best defense is not that good because he can't produce points from post moves? Good take bro.
Yeah it's like saying Dikembe or Rodman are trash because they can't score lmao.
Gobert being on here is just wrong
Damn, Randle's shooting the ball like Josh Smith😂
randle is josh smith with opportunity
I never thought about that comparison, but damn that's accurate.
Don’t sleep on the wolves this year coming from a nuggets fan.
Hi! Love your videos, just curious about your comment on Gobert that: "The fact that he is French makes him an easy target!?"
Did I miss something about people being from France that makes them targets? 🤔
Americans and the British mocking the French is an old in joke thing going back to WW2, far longer for Brits though.
L
Take for Gobert ngl
“Have we seen a 3x DPOY and all nba player get this much hate?”
Dwight Howard sends his regards
So true !
The difference between Gobert and Howard is that Howard thought he was better than he actually was, and over time he showed little to no improvement. Gobert on the other hand isn't a diva, he just got paid too much and they expect too much from him because of it.
Gobert was never known for offense and that’s like calling Ben Wallace bad 😂
He’s pointing out his weaknesses
Out of all his gems, This might be Andy’s worst video. Gobert has been doing better in recent memory.
He's on track for his 4th DPOY award. Like whaaaaaaaat?!!!!
