The guy who was the original voice of Tom Servo (Serveau) could come up with some really funny riffs but the problem was everybody would end up talking over each other. After they went to riffing these movies with a script, he couldn't adapt and departed after one season, that's when the Irishman (I can't think of his name at the moment) became the voice of Tom...he is also responsible for the absolute best Star Wars tribute short - Troops. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out. It explains how Luke's aunt and uncle were killed (not the storm troopers fault) and shows the destruction of the Jawa's sand crawler. It is the best in terms of production value, acting, direction, writing ...everything about it is top notch quality (especially considering the time it was made...Tom Servo even makes a guest appearance in it). KEVIN MURPHY!...it took a while but I just remembered his name.

When I first saw that scene (in the original movie, of course), I wasn’t able to read the sign quickly enough to contextualize the scene so I initially thought that the main dude changed the song to a slow dance in order to… force everyone to move slower I guess. Also what advantage do you even get over others turning off gravity? I suppose plot armor prevails
This feels like a surprisingly high-budget movie for being a space adventure that is so heavily doused with the 1960s. Reminds me very much of "Barbarella" that way.
I quite liked the film, it reminded me of the sci-fi novels I used to read back in high school. It has a goofy 60s vibe but that's understandable given that it came out in 1969. Great MST3K episode, too!
Totally agree dude. The movie rocks. I give it 5 bags of popcorn and a little bag of moonrocks because of the moon theme and the movie is also kind of dull like rocks.
