Welcome to your freedom, Cosette! 🤗 Would love to watch more videos with Cosett, and even getting an update. By the way, I draw portraits and other stuff, and did classes of commercial art, lettering, printmaking, ceramics, a little other arts, then computer art and stuff. Did you see on the Awaken Truths UA-cam channel 3 days ago they shared a letter that stated it will now be OK to celebrate birthdays ? If that is true, there will be a lot of p.o.ed ex JW's bcz of the suffering we all had to go thru. 🤨😣🎂
Oh wow, I haven't seen that. Well, I'll be one of those p.o.ed ex witnesses because did we suffer?? Man o man, not celebrating birthdays was a source of neverending grief for us growing up, especially at school.
I just watched the video, and yeah, it's not real. The official letters, even internal ones have Watchtower or Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses letterheads always. Also, they no longer write 'Governing Body' in capital letters, it's all lowercase. We can't rule out that happening in future new light, but that letter is fake.
There’s a question to if it’s a legit letter from the org, because it doesn’t seem like it once you go back and you look at their video it tells you why it’s a questionable letter.
Welcome to you new life, Cossett! There is freedom in the real Jesus. If you read the gospels, you will find how different He is from the Watchtower Jesus. He is loving and beautiful.
True story. One of my friends is Jewish and his father and when the Jehovah's Witnesses found out that they were Jewish they were visiting them all the time. Apparently you get triple brownie points if you can convert a Jew. Ironically my friend's father allowed them to visit him all the time because the witnesses were Hispanic and it was a great way for him to practice his Spanish.

This is the 1st video I’ve watched on your channel, so apologies for asking a couple of questions from the outset. As with many other videos I watch on ex JW content, I’m always intrigued as to the circumstances of those presenting. No less with you and Cosette! The intro to this video doesn’t really make clear how you both got involved with the JW’s and how you left before your daughter? The second part of my questioning is whether or not either of you retained your faith in God and where are you at now…i.e. do you both attend church etc.?
@@Elements795 thank you for your questions, and for watching. You're right, we didn't go in depth on how we each became involved with the Jehovah's Witnesses. That will have to be another video, or series of videos. In a nutshell, I was born and raised in a JW family and left as an adult, 10 years ago. My daughter was also born in and decided to leave just 2 weeks ago, which is what made me start my channel again. I had already had this channel for 3 years and was rather burned out, but my daughter's recent exit motivated me to keep going. Would you like to see a future video on that?
@ Thank you for your reply. In general I would say it may prove beneficial to viewers to give a brief overview of your back story before getting into the detail. Personally, as much as I would have liked to know more about both your experiences as JW’s, I’m just as curious as to where you are now…do you still believe in God, and specifically do you attend church etc.? I appreciate this may be too early for your daughter at this stage but wondered where you are at? My own background is that I’m an ex “associate” witness (in other words I didn’t get baptised!). I studied with them for over 5 years and attended all the meeting, assemblies and went out on the door to door work. For the entirety of my time with the WTBTS I held reservations about several of their doctrines. Things came to a head when one day an elder asked me if I had considered baptism? I revealed my hesitancy citing doctrinal concerns! He was very disappointed with my response and at that point I realised I could not continue promoting beliefs that I doubted myself! I left shortly afterwards. It took me many years to finally “escape” the mental association I retained with several ex JW friends and the whole lifestyle I had become accustomed to. I could go on to discuss the inbetween years so I’ll fast forward a little. I never lost my faith in God, which is what many ex JW’s tend to do. I think this is a knee jerk reaction, a sort of way to completely jettison the trauma of being a JW. What I would say though is that even though many JW’s “say” they no longer want anything to do with religion anymore, many of them struggle to leave “God” behind entirely. The irony is that due to JW teachings, ex JW’s are often averse from exploring the real Christian faith due to the prejudices drummed into them in the organisation. I say ironic, simply because many ex JW’s recognise their false teachings but don’t see the lies they teach about Christianity!! I’m now a born again believer and coincidentally I’m getting baptised next Sunday in a local Baptist church. My thoughts and prayers are with you both🙏❤️
@Elements795 For me personally the jury is still out on that one. Attending any church has definitely been ruled out for me, the history of the churches and religions speaks for itself as being nothing more than man made and controlled. As far as God though, I'm still searching while trying to be a good human being. That's all I can say right now.
@ Thank you for clarifying your position on the question of personal faith. It no longer surprises me when an ex JW indicates, either doubt about their faith, or a rejection of God altogether! Nevertheless, I do find it somewhat odd that a once professing “believer” in God and the Bible, despite leaving the JW’s, wouldn’t have at least carried some measure of faith / belief with them, when leaving the organisation! For what it’s worth, I would “urge” you (and your daughter) to, at least; take the time to conduct an objective review of some key doctrines contained in scripture. From my own experience (and from several other ex JW’s I discussed this topic with), obtaining complete detachment from the JW organisation is highly unlikely, unless you satisfy yourself that, not only are the JW’s teachings false, but either the Bible is God’s word, or it isn’t! Too many exJW’s make the mistake of thinking they will find peace of mind, simply by detaching themselves from that organisation, without first of all conducting some independent study / research into the history of JW teachings, such as prophecy and also many of the doctrines they teach, in particular the nature of Christ! Once you have completed the aforementioned, the next subject to consider is the Bible. Either it is the word of God or it isn’t. My view as a born again Christian is that it 100% IS the word of God however, that’s my own conclusion and one I’m happy to discuss / defend if asked. You yourself have to make your own mind up. I know that may sound patronising or possibly a bit arrogant but it’s done with the best of intentions and an awareness that not resolving such questions “fully” will likely lead to nagging doubts / depression and anxiety in the long term. Indeed, many ex JWs who fail to do so, invariably return to the life they once left behind, only to sink further into depression! I would recommend reading a book called “Systematic Theology” by Wayne Grudem if you can obtain a copy. It covers key doctrine and has nothing to do with the JW’s. It’s a book that encourages study in a systematic way, allowing scripture to interpret scripture. This is definitely not what the JW’s do when offering a free “Bible study”! In fact their study is not a Bible study at all, merely a book study whereby scripture is often quoted out of context to support their peculiar ideas! Please consider your daughter when thinking about this and the potential long term harm that may come by not fully addressing the issues associated with belief etc. I will pray for you both🙏❤️
They should have said "Bad association's" not bad people. I remember reading that the Israelite's after being taken out of Egypt for freedom by Moses, after a few years in the wilderness, wanted to go back to Egypt!
El "fin" siempre está a la puerta, amigo. Si no puedes tomar buenas decisiones, entonces ¿quien? De eso se trata la vida. Tienes que aprender a vivir por vos mismo y no por lo que te dicen 11 gringos en nueva york!

And that was the best decision in my life, even if i was sometimes confused or lonely :) You have to pass it and believe in yourself, because its going to be Good! Glad to see you reunited. Much love to you both!
If it could work out, it'd be cool to have her on a Livestream.
We'll try to set it up for next weekend!
Welcome to your freedom, Cosette! 🤗
Would love to watch more videos with Cosett, and even getting an update.
By the way, I draw portraits and other stuff, and did classes of commercial art, lettering, printmaking, ceramics, a little other arts, then computer art and stuff. I mainly learned drawing on my own and stuff. College classes help though to do it maybe quicker and maybe better. Passion is the main driver of doing it though.
I wish I took a class on how to price my work, so. Yeah, that was my hard part. lol Underpricing it, not know HOW to price it. I still don’t yet.
She's so beautiful bro...so glad she woke up man❤❤
Leaving while you’re young is the best thing you could do. Now you have a whole life ahead of you to live & enjoy. That’s so awesome! We’re so proud of you and happy for you.
What kinda stuff do you draw? Having artistic talent is so neat. Maybe do a video of drawing stuff.
Way to go Cozette. Stand strong!
Three things I live by …
“Breathe in the good sh*t, breathe out the bull💩”.
“Be as strong as an oak tree, yet flexible as a blade of grass”.
“Don’t sweat the small stuff. Your born & you die. That’s the big stuff. Everything else in between is the small stuff”.

I’m glad you’re out of the cult. I’ve never been a JW, but I’ve taught myself the twisted teachings of the Watchtower. I do have family members who are members of the cult. All I can do is hope and pray their salvation in Christ Jesus. Keep on sharing your experiences with others, as it’s a tool for freedom.
Very happy for both of you! That was very good of Cosette's boyfriends family to make SURE that she reached her dad safely.
I was 16 in 1975. Plenty old enough to hear all the talks & read all the articles about Armageddon. It was all baloney! I wasted 42 yrs on those lies. You go girl & have a good & HAPPY life. 🐎🦋🌠

That's what I was thinking. So much fake news & AI generated pictures. 🤷🏼♀️
That’s a fake letter. It’s been debunked.
❤❤❤good 2b reunited: father daughter 🎉🎉🎉
Welcome to you new life, Cossett! There is freedom in the real Jesus. If you read the gospels, you will find how different He is from the Watchtower Jesus. He is loving and beautiful.
Congratulations
True story. One of my friends is Jewish and his father and when the Jehovah's Witnesses found out that they were Jewish they were visiting them all the time. Apparently you get triple brownie points if you can convert a Jew. Ironically my friend's father allowed them to visit him all the time because the witnesses were Hispanic and it was a great way for him to practice his Spanish.
your daughter is very cute!
well done !
Living jehovah's care into the arms of his enemy. When i was a teenager i was disfellowshipped to me that was so gooď. I loved women so i continued fornicating which the bible condemns. THANK god i came but i regret leaving jehovah experienced a divorce unknowingly got involved in SPIRITISM ( TRANSCENDENTAL MED ITATION much like yoga) but i am in my forties jehovah has blessed me with love ofmy life been married 22 years. Young ones never leave Jehovah you will REGRET IT LIKE ME ❤
@@shawnmcanthony5724 What's there to regret? You made some bad decisions, had some tough experiences, but that's life! You didn't leave Jehovah, you just left a religion. Big difference!
@@TheC.O.-VISIT ok if you put it like that i did not leave Jehovah but i certainly did not do things his way. You see if i had stayed in the organization i would not have practiced TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION which is SPIRITISM an not some relaxing exercise which i thought. You know how i know this is Jehovahs organization. When i was reinstated in my late twenties satan an his demons were MAD an only Jehovah helped me

My thoughts and prayers are with you both🙏❤️
@ Do you believe in God and if not why not? If you do believe in God where are you now in terms of attending a church etc.?
I will pray for you both🙏❤️
Congratulations to freedom
They should have said "Bad association's" not bad people.
I remember reading that the Israelite's after being taken out of Egypt for freedom by Moses, after a few years in the wilderness, wanted to go back to Egypt!

@@oilusionistaxd Can you clarify what you mean? Are you talking about the generation of 1914? You bet they died! They're all dead!
