For some quality of life changes and "comodities" for new players on Season 4 i would like to see: -The frame data bar being official (idk if the modders who made the standalone can make some kind of "contract" with Arcsys to implement it officially, but this is for the PS and Xbox players not to mention the removal of the mod each time i want to play online). -Celestial players being locked out of floor 10 and once you start the celestial challenge you cant go back. -A weekly rotation of DLC characters for ppl who dont have them (like GBVSR Free edition but with DLC by season or popularity). -A more in depth tutorial on Wild Assault types, Burst Baiting and uses of Roman Cancel besides Red (a good friend of mine started playing and even though he's making good progress its difficult for me to explain these terms and Mission Mode doesnt help too much). -Integration of scripted battles in the Story mode would be nice (not like QTEs but actual matches with super bosses and the like). -Options to remove the background in lobby for performance reasons. And if possible: -Character based Announcers -Being able to change menu music and background images with gallery images or museum edits.
The only thing I need to tell people is that if you go into online, expect to get so horrendously beaten by people. These players are some sweaty fellas
Taking into account the dlcs is definetely a bit considerable money but is literally a super expressive and cool fighting game, a music album and a movie with galleries of art, damn worth the price especially if its on sale which happens here and there
@@Sonicstillpoint83 it is, but consider you could buy the base game TWICE at its cost it's worth since arcsys is greedy af and if they could put a price on the online mode they would
@@Sonicstillpoint83Yes because that arcsys is ea 2.0 and is greedy as hell. Also even color palettes are locked under a paywall which is a huge bummer, just get season passes for dlc chars for additional colors.
Great vid! I picked up GGS on sale recently without knowing about the season pass. Coming from putting a lot of time into smash (project M and Ultimate) I do appreciate having a platform with better online play than what Nintendo offers... I would say some of the issues I've found while going through training mode is that there's not a demo video for every mission you do which has led me to some frustrating moments where I had to walk away because I didn't understand what was being asked of me. I do think they should offer season passes at a discount after a certain amount of time (ie. oldest pass is cheapest, and increases as the passes get newer) or offer a weekly list of 2-3 characters to try out. As a beginner to fighting games I don't even know if I'll like the game enough to sink more money into it yet which can be irritating.
you mention the street fighter and tekken ranked systems as if they're so much better. I think the only main difference is they have more ranks, but those games also have big mac joes in their respective top ranks (excluding legend in SF because that's just top 500 highest elo players worldwide) by that i mean, in tekken i prefer playing ranked to quick match because there is some actual matchmaking
Well no there is an actual ranked matchmaking system with an MMR or ELO attached where as guilty gear has a floor system where it kind if just has a general idea of where you are with going up and down being completely arbitrary on winning or losing a few games, in tekken and sf6 the game is trying to match you with a fair opponent of similar skill and rewards you accordingly with increase rank for beating higher plays and reduced loss for losing to higher players vice versa guilty gear skill levels vary widely and with no actual queue system trying to find you a fair match you can destroy someone way worse than you or be destroyed but the value of that win or loss is the same. It's like imagine if I beat up some bronze player in sf6 and kept vs them to master you feel?
@@Raynfgc I see, i guess i didn't understand correctly. I just thought the floor system was just like ranked from other games but with a different coat of paint. Should I interpret this as there not being much difference between the casual and ranked modes matchmaking wise?
My brother gave me his 25th anniversary edition because the box had a dent in it so he’s buying a new one. I’ve been really trying my hardest to play it because the characters are cool and cute. But I guess I’m having fun with it so it could be worth it
the characters in strive are so good that even though i bought the daredevil (season 1-3) edition on sale, i really didnt mind paying full price for season 4
i mean, the first DLC pack just had a permanent price drop- the other ones go on sale every now and then as well- shouldn't be too much of an issue for anyone interested in the extra fighters but i do hope they can implement something like the Rental system that Street Fighter 6 uses, so ppl can see if they like the character or not.
Just bought it 2 days ago. Noticing a few things now like how I'm absolutely horrible at doing all these inputs in such a short time frame without messing up big time also not quite sure when to do the inputs. I'm completely stuck on the mission where you need to land a small combo into a super with ky and god the timing on that jump attack hurts my soul but the thing I'm struggling with most is going from the sweep into the super input. But the visuals are flashy enough to keep my pea brain engaged so I'm gonna keep at it
It'll take a bit of time, you need to do the motion then the button for example, if you do 236s which is a quarter circle forward then press slash it will come out but what a lot of new players do is press 23s6 basically press the input too early which leads to the game registering it as a down input and will slash so it comes out as 2s, guilty gear also has a buffering system in simple terms once your attack connects with the opponent you can input the next move hope this helps stick with it and keep trying it gets easier with time!!
