Great videos alex great to watch for someone like myself who’s starting out sailing hopefully get boat this Saturday and use a lot of you videos as useful tips to upgrade my own thanks for all your posting keep it up.
Nice job on the flooring. I can’t remember but did the boat have drains at the front of cockpit originally? I guess you won’t be leaving it on a mooring for any length of time so an electric solution is probably ok. Personally I would have had drains through the hull but each to their own as long as they work it fine. Andy UK
Andy UK - SY Corrival - Rival 32 Thanks! No drains at the front as the floor slopes back. going straight down is a no as access is poor and especially in an emergency, might also turn into a water fountain. will be fitting a sump box soon with an auto pump so that will be good!
@@AlexGoesSailing I am thinking the same as Andy about having an electric solution for cockpit drain. Most yachts will actually run the cockpit drain to the water

@@AlexGoesSailing waiting patiently...........**( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡° )**
Like the Pingu impression. Did you have to rough up the cockpit sole prior to sticking down the teak
Edward Hazelden i did wonder if anyone would notice haha. i did go over it with 200grit just to clean it up mostly.

Hi Alex great work so far would be a safer option to run the cockpit drain out the transom surprised none there previous.
shane Dillon that’s how it was but not good enough. will be fitting an auto pump soon!
