I have this game and I found out if you go into the start world and just wait don’t shoot anything you can start getting cooler fishes
Get the saw harpoon and the purple cat, use the shock bombs on big fish to stun them and make them more vounerable
grounded, dome keeper, fisher cat, and Minecraft dungeons! What's not to love?

Also if you want to catch big fish more easily, use the electric bomb/ mine. It stuns the fish, making it easier to catch
