I accidentally got tiny drops of water from a rainfall into mine thru the earpiece flap, the power button at first stopped working, (everything else is good), then the volume was acting like the volume up button and power button, now (after 5hrs, power button started working but, it doesn't respond like it shud) e.g I press once and it acts like I've been holding it). So I basically just wait for the screen to sleep itself... Do you think I shud take to the shop I got it (Its abt 2 months since purchase) or is there some trick to get it back into full form?
I have a problem with my Xperia Z, its power button function activates itself, that is, when i am using my phone, a pop up appears asking me to 1. Power off the phone 2. Put in airplane mode 3. Take a screenshot etc When the phone is off, it turns on itself. All above happens too frequently. Please suggest me if I need to replace my power flex cable, just like you did in this video. Marvin Ong Replacing the sim card reader is a very difficult repair that requires micro-soldering experience. The proper equipment is necessary and even with a guide the likelihood of successful repair would be extremely low.
I took some time and I was unable to find anything but the complete housing. Unfortunately it looking like the replacement housing may be your only option right now. Please keep checking our website for updates. Good Luck!

I have a problem, my xperia z only enters safe mode and I've flashed several times, now on android only works the volume up and not the other, off only works so flash ie volume down and not working fastboot mode is volume up. volume will flex or software problems?
I used my xperia z underwater for almost 1 minute then my phone started having problems. I opened the back and saw that it got wet. I let it dry but after it mg power button stop working. what can I do?
I tried to pull the whole flex cable out but the microphone got snapped, it got stuck to the rubber housing :(. Can I use a cpu glue to attach it again or buy a new flex cable -_- thanks

Yes sounds like you need to replace the flex cable. Before doing so I would check all connections. IF the rocker still does not work I then would say replace the flex. Hi gone through all the steps and my mic still isn't working although the buttons are. Tried other parts still no joy. Any suggestions please
The Mic assembly is different than the volume buttons. It's possible that the Mic portion was damaged as this is by your dock port.

Unfortunately you cannot use (CPU Glue) to repair the flex. We don't offer a ear speaker and flex yet. Please check back with our site for updates.

May be an issue with your motherboard. I may recommend having a repair shop review it.

i done everything like in tutorial, and after testing had one problem the speaker not working and before was working.

We recommend you go through the repair once again. Ensure all connections are properly seeded when completing the reassembly.
